I paid $600 cheaper for the same tires with a free alignment via discount tires. Staff at Midas were great. Pricing was garbage. Quoted $1000 online with Midas. Quoted $1500 in person. Paid $920 with tire discounters.

I went to Midas because I needed a catalytic converter. replacement. Bret was very friendly over the phone and in person which made me more at ease when coming into the shop. They have multiple payment options which is very helpful since certain car repairs can get very expensive. They also had a loaner car for me while my car was in the shop which was convenient.

I think employees need to work on having better communication. I waited almost two hours for my oil change while on my lunch break and was given literally no explanation.
Amber Pierce was incredible, I was a walk-in (not scheduled appointment) and asked for availability for an oil change. She was quick to greet me and get me in and out in less than an hour. Although the ladies in the front were polite, I asked a number of times if my wheels would be rotated and if the fluids in my car would be topped off and each time I was told, "yes, those will be completed." At the time that I was asked to pay for services, I asked one more time if the tires had been rotated and if the fluids were topped off and to please double check. They first told me yes, then double checked and saw that none of that had been taken care of. By this time it was too late to have any of that taken care of since the technician who seemed to be rushing had already left the premises. I left there without my tires being rotated nor any of the fluids being topped off which is quite disappointing.

Everyone went out of their way to help me. I dropped off my vehicle and planning on waling to work. Midas provided me with a courtesy drop off to my work place 3 minutes from their location. They also provided my transportation back to me as I was the only employee in my office and couldn't leave my location. Then I only had to pay half of what was originally quoted. This location took customer service to a level you don't see very often. This transaction involved more than 3 or 4 people to make sure I was a very happy customer. You will always have my loyal service.

We took the vehicle to the dealer for a break inspection and was quote more than twice what we were quoted at Midas. We didn't have an appointment but was taken right in. The work was completed the same day. We have 6 vehicles in our fleet and will use Midas for all non-dealership work, including oil changes, moving forward
The incoming person at the desk did not communicate clearly to follow up staff.They had to call to find out what was requested.
Groupon prices should be correct. Time for oil change was 2 hours. Greasy footprints took extra 30 minutes to clean and still have a 4” spot showing

Don’t assume issues from a customer are just fixable through thought. I came back complaining of an oil smell in my cabin - was told “residual oil and will burn off” - I thought my skid plate was loose - they just looked and said it’s fine. I essentially brought my car back to have them tap on the hood and say it’s fine. Ended up they didn’t even put my oil cap back on and oil was spilling/splashing over my engine and leaking. Had to take it back a 2nd additional time after I found out they didn’t put it back on (literally just lifted the hood and saw the issue). They apologized - offered a free oil change in the future - and I left. Today my engine light is on and my car stalled on the road.
The store needs a new wheel alignment machine.

Be fair with your prices!!. We don’t expect cheap prices but to be told our car could be started AND finished that day and want to charge us 13 hours labor is crazy. It was 11am when she said we would have the car by the end of the day (5pm and they hadn’t even started yet)…that’s 6 hours not 13!!! My brother owns a repair shop in Florida and said we were being ripped off and not by a little. They also tried to tell us we needed other work done when we didn’t. They took total advantage be used they thought they were dealing with a woman. And right before christmas!

I arrived at my scheduled time and my car was taken right back. I was there for just over an hr but during that time I was shown my tire (off my car) and explained why I needed to replace it…it was totally different from what I was told at the dealership during a free service of tire rotation. Seeing it made all the difference to me. Chandler was absolutely amazing, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I had to call and check on the progress of my truck after 8 hrs of being at the shop. It was not completed and at that time I was told they could not install my new suspension. I received a call about 20 min later and then they agreed to proceed with the suspension work. I was also told at that my quote was going to increase about $120 from the original. After discussions the original quote was honored. The next day i noticed they did not adjust the level on the my front struts and I had to take the truck back in the following Monday for them to corrected it. This left me with out a truck for 1.5 days for 4 new tires 2 struts and 2 shocks.
The technician was very friendly and knowledgeable about what was going on with my SUV after he listened to what I described and we went on a road test and checked it out on the lift inside the shop bay and the manager explained too me exactly what was going on and price for repairs and I was very satisfied and appreciated them for caring and knowledgeable and very kind and treated me with respect and took care of my vehicle and did an awesome 💯 job.
Over a day to replace a tire that the shop was called the day before about the tow coming in. At 4pm told beed soon. At 6pm service rep left me on hold and went home. Finally District manager had to get involved and still the shop could not meet the time of two hours time window to get car finished.

The only reason I did not select Highly Satisfied is because I noticed the inside of my car on the driver's door had some smudged dirt marks. I also noticed the driver's side mat had several shoe prints. It is a small thing and I realize technicians get dirty doing the work, but I was surprised by the dirt. If my car did not have that, I would have been highly satisfied.

Melissa and Alec are the TRUE MVP's at this location, heck, they put the MIDAS in MVP. I was having a really hard day. I was selling my house I own with my ex of 8 years, my car was full of boxes, filled to the brim and I for-warned Melissa and Alec at the beginning of my appointment that I had also just started a new job, was on my lunch break, and had strictly 1 hour to get the oil change done or I would have to cancel/come back. I had a 12:30 appt. I walked across the street to handle some other errands while they were working on my car. I walked back in at around 1:20 and Melissa was just opening the door to pass back over my keys to Alec to cheeck me out with sheer impeccable timing. Melissa's Customer service manner is unlike anything Ive ever experienced. She's super down to earth, professional and understanding and assured me everything would go super smooth. If shes not already a MIDAS manager, she should be. She also explained to me that the Groupon I got was for the wrong type of oil that my car requires (I just got this new car and it's my first oil change with it) And that they took care of it for me at no extra charge. I almost cried tears of joy. 5 stars All around!

Waited about 45 minutes before car service started.
The belt was changed though it was requested twice. Technician had mentioned belt needed to be changed. Exhaust was not checked and heat shield was not secured. Both of which was requested to be kooked at when appointment was initially made and while waiting on car there on-site. Unfortunately due to this experience I don't plan on coming back. I will look elsewhere for car maintenance

The guy I spoke to on the phone, Orien over at the store location 1875 Sam Rittenberg Blvd, Charleston, SC 29407 was beyond helpful & patient and made sure the tires I wanted would be in for me the following morning.This was all thanks to Orien, he went beyond the call of duty and even called me back - after hours to let me know that he got in the tire order. It was NOT in your system which was aggravating it’s a dodge ram 1500 4x4 but I couldn’t find it. When I called I spoke with Mariah and she was awesome and got everything squared away

A light came on my dash a week prior to my visit. Hoping that it would go away, but not wanting to take any chances - I scheduled an appointment. Little did I know the light on my dash was just for low tire pressure and not something falling apart in my engine. The workers did a great job of explaining it to me and not making me feel stupid for not knowing what the dash light meant. I appreciate their help and care!
I had gotten a flat tire and so I took it into Midas without an appointment. They were so friendly and helpful! They got me in right away and it was extremely reasonably priced.

With my appointment, I waited 2 hours, At the end of my service, My Tire Rotation was not completed. I was told that I had to ask to have it done. When I schedule on line it stated that it came with the oil change. I check tire rotation because that’s very important to me. It was done. Afterwards I was satisfied.
Make sure when people make an appointment to fix their car, your techs actually work on them, instead of saying the Tech doesn't have time to work on your car, specially since you made an appointment 3 months in advance
I needed exhaust system repair. I expected to have to come back for the repairs, but they fit me right in, and gave me a loaner car. The car was repaired faster than i expected.

I think every service location should have the necessary equipment. They mentioned that my car needed a 1234yf machine which they didn’t have but when I scheduled my appointment that should have been something they knew. Regardless, my car is almost 5 years old and the ability to fix/diagnose the issue should be available.

I had a 1:30 appointment made 3 days in advance. I arrived early and my car was not touched until 2:45, a full hour and 15 minutes after my appointment time. I specifically asked when I booked if that would be the case and was assured it wouldn't be. Im not unreasonable, and I'm aware of the challenges staffing poses, but I cannot accept such an extensive delay. I took my time away to spend my money and I expect that an appointment in advanced be adhered to with a reasonable level of timeliness. it shouldn't take 3.5 hours to have 4 tires mounted and balanced.
The staff was very friendly and explained everything and broke down the pricing for me. I had a major oil leak from a gasket where a bunch of engine parts were submerged in oil. I did not have an appointment because they were booked up but they told me I could drop off my car and they would work on it when they had time. I was very surprised at how quickly they got my car looked at, parts ordered and fixed with how big the fix and oil cleanup was. They communicated where they were at and when it was done. Decent pricing. Overall happy with my experience.
The mechanic pulled my car out fo the bay and gave it directly to me. I noticed the brake light was on but the shop had closed right behind me. I assumed the mechanic had done his work and the brakes just needed an small adjustment as i had to push the pedal to the floor to slow down at all. Down the road i had to swerve off the road to avoid rear ending another car. I had to use the ebrake to get it back home. The manager gave me a loaner vehicle and took over a day to get back to me saying that the master cylinoid was bad and they replaced it for free. This is just him covering up the mechanics negligence. The brake light was on and the brakes were not working when the mechanic gave me the vehicle. The manager was there at the time too and saw the exchange. You cant tell me the master cylinoid blew out and leaked 24oz of break fluid from the time the mechanic pulled the car out of the first bay and parked it infront of the office door
Dropped off on Tuesday MORNING- DIDNT Start work until Thursday. Called late Wednesday afternoon to get status to be told in full disclosure they hadn’t started the work, but would be called in the morning. After that communication was better.

The work that was done was great. Exhaust sounds like it should, quiet. BUT what is important to me, is the heads up on things that might need to be fixed on my car in the future. There was no push to change things now that did not need to be fixed.

The cost of my oil change has increased over 300% in just two years. That’s crazy. And now there are no coupons so frankly Midas has lost their edge. AND the credit card closes if you pay the balance off. I was going to use it whenever I needed to but Care Credit closed the account bc I paid it off. Now I would have to reapply. That’s nuts!
I purchased a Groupon for the ready to roll package and I knew I needed two new tires but my plan was to get the alignment that will change in the wheel balancing before I got the new tires just because of the way money was however when I got there after making the appointment at 11:00 I didn't get the car taken back until 12:00 and some change time wise and then they came out and told me that they could do the oil change but they couldn't do the wheel balancing or the alignment of the wheels because I needed new tires but they did write in their computer system and on my check out that since it was a Groupon package deal they couldn't refund it it was redeemed on my Groupon that they made notes and as soon as I got the front two new tires they would do the front end alignment and I did get the front and two tires and then I got the alignment scheduled and it was finished yesterday they remembered me and no problems I appreciated it it wasn't anybody's fault it was more a frustration and it really wasn't theirs that I was frustrated at it was the frustration that there's never enough money but I was grateful that there was a Groupon that's the reason I went there

My car was towed in on a Tuesday about 11:30am & the diagnostic test was done mid afternoon. It needed a coolant hose. They couldn’t get parts to fix it by Wednesday so it was supposed to be done Thursday. I had no problem with that. I called about 12:30 Thursday to see if it was ready & they said mike would call me back. He didn’t call so I called about 3pm & mike answered the phone. He said it wasn’t ready but didn’t tell me what was wrong. Friday I called about 11 & they said it would be done by 3pm. When I called at 3pm, Chuck said mike can’t figure out why the radio didn’t work. If mike would’ve returned my phone calls I wouldve told him the radio hasn’t worked for a while & it’s not the fuse. Mike needs to work on his customer service skills. I should’ve had my car back on Thursday.

I have an older vehicle with lots of quirks. The techs dug into the problems efficiently, identified a very simple but obscure problem that they asked my permission to fix by removing a 3rd party modification, and removed it just as a matter of course. Having identified the major problem of a clutch failure they clearly explained the work needed and the fair but high price of that work. Given the age and value of the vehicle I elected to decline the work, so they rang me up for the diagnostics fee and were flexible about leaving the vehicle in place until I could retrieve it. I couldn't possibly be happier with the service.
Harrison and William are always very helpful and take care of us very well. Of all the services we've only had 1 issue and all it took was a phone call and a short visit and it was corrected right away. Very happy with the service we receive from this store.

Service was really good, I have to lower a star because multiple customers came in without wearing a mask which a sign is on the door saying mask required. I just think in this day and age it is common sense and if you dont want to wear a mask then go somewhere where it says you dont need to.

The checklist that was attached to my receipt had bunches of incorrect information. For example the horn on my car does not and has never worked since I have owned it. They checked the box for my horn to have been in perfect working condition. They also reported to Geico that they ran a test on my coolant system which they did not do. But if they had they may have found the leak in one of the hoses that caused my car to overheat and lose all fluid every 13 minutes. Horrible mechanic work.
Made an appointment for 330 to get a new muffler installed. Was told it would take 1 1/2 hours to install. Got there a little after 330 and dropped off. Went to go eat something and came back at 505. Car had not been moved. They finally took back 10 minute
My tires were not rotated, I know this because my tire that I asked the shop to look at that kept losing air was in the exact same spot on the car as it was in when I brought the car in and it is still losing air so I dont think they even looked at my tires. I also did not have a tow package installed.
