I went to 99st at Edmonton Brenden and his team were amazing.
They were able to begin repairs right away, and did a thorough job of diagnosing the issues. They prioritized the must repair issues, highlighted areas soon needing attention and things to watch
I think its little costly.
1) I don’t know if the recommendation for service was justifiable or not. All I know is the person in front of me was told their head gasket needed to be replaced ($2,000), then I overheard the manager on the phone with presumably another manager touting how they “got 11 5 yesterday” which I had to assume meant $11,500 worth of sales. Then my $400 AC recharge turned into $2,000 compressor replacement 2) when I looked at the photo of the issue, I couldn’t see anything wrong. I had to just take everyone’s word at face value. 3) because of these issues, I can’t help but feel like I was soaked and used as another sale to pad stats. 4) Not to mention, when I went to the Midas I originally scheduled an appointment with, they told me upon arrival “we don’t do AC in this location” and was sent to another location on the other side of the city. Overall the Midas experience was prett awful
Being able to see firsthand what other major problem needed prompt attention, and explaining the problem in detail. I was able to make an easy decision to proceed with more work than I had intended to do, regardless of the added cost. I feel like they care about the safety of my car more than I do and I really appreciate that.

I loved the clarity that was given and the ease of scheduling my service. As well the communication was clear and consistent leaving no room for miscommunication.
Received a text about the inspection but then took another 45 minutes to an hour. Would have liked another update. And there is some glue or residue of some type left on my tires after the change over. Also, one valve stem cap was left off. But overall, compared to other shops, I am satisfied and the staff was very friendly.

Upon receiving the results for the "complimentary inspection" I saw many points in "red" that were inaccurate. I had gotten many of the services done in the past year, even one by midas. It's a scare tactic and I do not appreciate it. And I'm sure someone with less experience would fall victim to something similar in the future. I have been going to midas for years because of the level of service, work, and above all, transparent honesty. I hope that those values remain true, as I would like to continue to keep coming back to midas.

Expensive and tricky pricing
Actually show scope of work prior to starting on vehicle. I was shown price but not scope of work but after looking at the repair myself I could see why they did not want to show me. The repair does not justify the price
I did Wheel alignment but bot satisfied with the work ask my steering is still tilting on Right side. And time taken was too much. I was there on appointment time and was promised to be able to work in 1 hour while booking appointment but they took 4 hrs to complete.
They took me in as a walk in on Saturday and fixed my car asap. Great service they really saved the day.

Promotion was confused. The price was without coupon. Nowasking the coupon to get discount. The receptionist had to print out the quote 3 times with different prices.
I reached there on my scheduled/ssigned time. When I reached the counter the associate in the counter simply walked out, saying nothing to me. I had to wait another 5 minutes for him to return. Even though my scheduled time was 2.30, the associate said there is another customer who came before me and he has to service his car first. I told him, 2.30 pm is the schedule time for me, which he did not consider. The promise, was the alignment will be done in an hour and it took 2 hours to finish the job, since they took care of another customer which is not my fault. I had to take my kid for an even at 4.00 pm and because of this I reached home at 5.00 pm and ruined my kid's evening.
Pictures great of areas needing work, explained in detail my main concerns. The staff worked very well, excellent team work. They were able to complete work that same day as my appointment. Happy with the workmanship.

It looks like the company overbooked and the technicians were working late. My 2 hr booking went on to become 6 hr delivery This is not a complaint on the people working there. All staff were amazing.

When you book an appointment for a client, they are taking the time out of their busy lives and other responsibilities to visit your business. If you care about customers you will respect their time and ideally meet the expected time given. Otherwise what is the point of an appointment? Seems few understand the concept these days
I showed up 25 minutes before closing and they were so amazing to replace all four of my tires when it was clear that my flat was beyond repair. They stayed past closing to make sure I could get home safely and really saved the day.

MIDAS looked at the codes that came up on the board. They did a full diagnostic. Elsewhere, I had been told that it was going to cost 7000 dollars go fix the problem. MIDAS told me I did not need to replace the part. It saved me money.

The pricing wasn't very straight forward, a ballpack figure was advertised for oil change only for labor charge to included in the final bill. I find this quite deceitful. Secondly I was told I had to change my oil every three months at a minimum!!!! Even the manufacturer doesn't recommend that. This is the first time in my entire life I've heard some ask that I bring my vehicle in every 3 months for oil change, i consider this a cash GRAB.

At 3:38 the guy at the counter says, your oil is done but we have not got to your lights. I said I have been hear nearly 4 hours, just forget about it, I will take my car. Why make an appointment??

My appointment was 8 am for a tire rotation. Many other people were booked for 8 am too. I waited 3 hours- when in the past it has been less than one hour. Booked at 8- why did it take so long? This is not normal.
Made an appoint anf took 4 1/2 hours. Also asked for a price on another issue. The inspection inspection report had two issues. Not getting a price on what I asked to look at not on the report. The report had the worn tire issue, that I was there to buy anf install tires.This is the second time at this shop that they just do not listen.And one tire was not installed properly. It had a slow leak. This was fixed by another Midas shop in Abbotsford for free.
Midas was not only able to locate the issue and fix the defected part from a recent previous shop but they went above and beyond. The staff and mechanics are ones you can trust !

they broke my wheel stud and fixing it will be expensive because of labor hours (i already asked for a quote). only 1 stud can cost me 600 bucks because the person who worked on my car didn’t do it properly. estimated labor hour is 3.5h so i’m so disappointed
Don’t over book appointments. Have better communication between the office and the mechanics so they order materials properly. Don’t miss requested maintenance. Before accepting payment review all services requested so there’s no additional payments in the end.
I dripped my car off for a 9:30 am tire change appointment. I called at 2 to confirm if it was ready for pickup and was told my car is next and it would take maximum an hour to get it done. I got to the shop and asked for my car. They said it was next(I got there around 3:20 so a lot more than the maximum hour) as I was sitting there waiting more cars came in for tire changes and the tires were changed right away even tho I was supposedly the next in line. I asked again and they said sorry it looks like we forgot to upload you information when you came and so now they will do it right away. By the time I had my car back it was close to 8 hours. I should not have to wait that long for a tire change when I have an appointment.
They accepted my appointment request last minute even though the shop was extremely busy that week.
Midas staff called me shortly after I requested an online quote and were able to schedule me for new winter tires, install and wheel alignment the next day. While the vehicle was there I requested they provide a quote to repair my muffler. The quote was very reasonable and they were able to complete all the work in the same business day. The staff at this location were extremely friendly and accommodating during a busy time. Pricing was comparable and they brought in the new tires for next day installation.

Customer service was good but seems like over booked customer and work load effect the time to do oil change should not take more than hour ,even with some visual inspection other wise is not cost effective for the company also with the cost associated with the oil change

Even after booking an appointment I was told it could take 2-3 hrs for the oil change. No drop off service. The moneris machine didn't work. So ah to walk to the bank about 25 mins walk back and forth (the weather was nice) but I understand it's not stores fault but an inconvenience for the customers. At least 3-4 customers were in line before me. And if you made a mess please clean it. Front desk person tried to clean the oil leak/spill but couldn't do very much. At least offer a car wash if you made a mess

Didnt have a good experience with oil change today. I was told about complamentory tire rotation, which didn't happened, for I was watching the tech guy, took the tire out, take few pictures and put the tire back?I was ask for syntactic oil change and asked if it's good for 10,000 mileage and I was told yes. The sticker on windshield says oil change after 6000 kilometers?It was very misleading, and I don't think I want to come back for any service, even oil change
I had Midas flush the brake fluid and it was cheaper than the car dealership and I had them check the brakes as a year ago they installed new rear brakes and rotors.
At the beginning I was informed that wait time will be an hour but it was more than an hour Also I had a promotional price but the associate was not aware about that

I got promo for oil change $69.99 but came up with tax $84.++I dont think it make sense, the sales rep just said it was tax. I think its a scam if you said the price was 69.99 and at the end you have to pay $80

When getting a wheel alignment I expect to get a report of the findings. I was only told verbally that everything was ok and they never printed anything out.
I sent a separate complaint. The new manager basically force me to have synthetic oil change instead of my usual convential oil change service. I have had the conventional oil change service for several years from Midas. I have never had this issue for the car. He may be right, but the treatment to customers was the worst.

Tell the customer in advance of the oil change that midas had changed its policy and now requires synthetic rather than conventional oil,which increased the cost of my oil change by 65%. I've been a Midas customer for my il changes on two vehicles for over three years. and always had conventional oil, so just signed off on the sheet whrn I bought the vehicle in and didn't look at the bottom of the sheet to see that it was going to be synthetic. Your manager should have told me of the recent policy change BEFORE I signed off on the order change. It's like bait and switch. I won't be back.

Wanted brakes replaced.Had a coupon for 299 for pads and rotors for each axle.Paid 1000 total and rear and front rotors and pads not replaced.🧐Took car in because brake pedal soft had too much play had to push hard to stop ,.After 1000 There is no difference in the vehicle like nothing was done.I had a full synthetic oil change 4 days prior have receipts and your shop said oil was dirty??? after that I have a hard time trusting Midas,I will phone them about not fixing car brakes but will never have service done thete sgain,I will see if someone else can fix,Very disappointed.Main reason I chose Midas was for coupon and special and paid much more and work not done and n0 change in brakes fee I spent 1000.00 for nothing.

I was explained the issues with my car and was offered recommended solutions to them. Solutions I believe did not sound like trying to oversell me products
When I request an oil change appointment, I put my car model and year. MIDAS confirmed my schedule; that seemed MIDAS should have filter that car. My appointment was for 30 minutes. I had to wait over 2 hours for the oil change with my small kid. They did not notify me within my appointment that they did not have the filter or needed more time. It wasn't easy to manage my kid for that long time. I had to change my other schedule too. However, after receiving the filter, they did not put it in my car immediately as they did not realize the filter was dropped on the desk, and I notified them that it might be my car filter. Then they took another 17 mins to complete the taste. They are not responsible people. If Midas gives me a free oil change in future, I will not go to that location.
Vehicles should be thoroughly inspected before doing the work that needs to be done. This will save your customers' time and money.
When you charge for a diagnostic and the desk say it’s part of the cost of installing then charge you full price - not okay.
Communication wasn’t great but I already knew what needed to be done so I ok’d it.
The staff should NOT get the wheel lug locks mixed up as the one that was returned to me was NOT mine. My set is a Mopar set and this lock had a different name on it. Staff were insistent that this was mine. Not impressed at all
The person who took my appointment quoted me the incorrect amount of time I would wait for a tire change (no rims) and oil change. I waited 2.5 hours instead of the allotted hour (& was late for my next appointment as a result) BUT the Midas staff (especially Hussein) communicated well and handled the situation in a very professional and helpful manner. I will totally come back due to his excellent customer service!

The services were good however, the cost was more than I would have liked to pay. The thing I am most dissatisfied with is that I paid over $1,600 for the services recommended only to have my check engine appear on my dashboard the next after services are completed at Midas. I am extremely unhappy with that, especially after the amount I had paid to complete the services. Not to mention that the check engine light was not even an issue before I had even gone into your shop for a visit. In addition, the "service StabiliTrak" notice which keep appearing on my dashboard is still an issue which was the main purpose behind my visit and was never resolved.

My main concern in my car was the smoke and smelling gas but they quote me a complete brakes which cost $1200 and a rear axle something which cost around $2000 and i dont know if its related to the problem of smelling gas, then when i declined the estimated repair cost they told me that they can fix the smoking tail pipe for 300 so I paid $528after tax including diagnostic fees but the smelling gas still there while im driving, and later on i found out that the vin number and engine type written on the receipt is not the same with my vehicle.

Booked an appointment at 8. But when reached there was one customer ahead of me in line and associate was helping him. It took 15 mins to help him while I was waiting then associate helped me to process my paperwork and then car was taken in and given back to me at 9:25. For an oil change 1:25 mins seems too much as other competitors like jiffylube or Mrlube only takes 20-25 mins for the whole process. Please I love midas on service but i request to improve on your timings. Not everyone can wait that long on a regular weekday.

Labour and service prices are fine, but the price of parts is borderline robbery. Charged $250 for a caliber that should have been $80 and charged $80 per brake for pad when they truly cost $40.

It was easy to schedule my appointment. I was taken in the next morning and the work was completed to my satisfaction. I feel the pricing was OK.
I came in for an full inspection and I paid CAD 80 plus . I told them I have a sound on bumps . I was told after that it might be the exhaust and then they suspected something else which needs parts and they have to look for them . It’s been more than a week and I didn’t hear anything from Midas . I also requested a copy of the full inspection after I left ( the one which gives details of the parts examined with its pictures ) that is sent to me every time by email but received nothing upto now . Not sure what is happening at Midas 53Thanks

The service was great, I booked my appointment for 12pm, and my vehicle was done at 2:45pm, I know it takes time when they're busy, but it wasn't told to me, which I think they should of mentioned it before hand, but overall the service was great.

Bev was very friendly and knowledgeable. I returned to have my tires retorqued and noticed there was an oil smudge on the interior cloth as well as in the inside door, Bev was fantastic and had the oil cleaned immediately to my satisfaction

When I called in to inquire about getting some work done the rep who I spoke with was very accommodating in booking me in. Once I arrived Brian and his colleague were both very helpful in dealing with my issue. They both made me feel confident that were both looking out for my best interest. I was able to have my vehicle repaired within a very short period of time and I was back on the road in no time. I watched the way they treated other customers and their sincerity and kindness along with product knowledge was commendable. I would have no issues bringing my vehicle here for more work and I would also recythem to others.

I booked an appointment online but left a comment to call me if they and anything earlier. A customer service rep called me first thing the next morning and offered me an earlier appointment. Check in and pick up of my vehicle was fast and efficient. The customer service reps were friendly and appeared to enjoy their job. The sale on the oil change is what drew me to try a service at Midas and I was pleasantly surprisedbas there were no hidden fees.

My appointment time was not recorded so I had to wait 3 extra hours until they could service my car. The sales person did not want to honour the online promotion for the 69$ oil change and said that corporate was making them and he didn’t want to do it. I had to show him my online coupon to prove it

The teck. team worked after closing to ensure that all the work had been completed.The manager was updating me explaining the delay,problems,etc.after the shop had closed,friendly,he should be reconized by Midas.

I signed a document agreeing to paying for the services to be done and they were not done. Oilchange and tire rotation special.My tires never moved and they have more tread on the rears.

I had ac check done and I was told $4k+ for repair. I understand the cost and opinion that it was not worth and I left. However, I came home and realized he didn’t explain what check/test he did and how bad it was or there were any options such as trying sealer or offer refill.
I went for change oil and have some concern on my car and i ask them if they can fixed it for me and they said they can accomodate me and be done in an hour. The next day i went back for tire purchase and they install it to me right away they even kept my winter tire there for storage. So nice of them

I'm on a tight budget and my car has extremely high mileage so I was looking to get the muffler repaired but not spend much money . The service counter person said Midas would do everything they could fo make it affordable. The cost was very reasonable .
There's always room for improvement, other then that everything was as expected and even better then most places I've gone. I really like the thorough job and detailed report they provide.

Hello and kudos to the team at the 99 St. 34th Ave branch! Moira and Chris were outstanding! I booked an appointment for a Monday and when I get there, my appointment somewhat got lost in the system. It could turn out to be a problem but Moira and Chris could never have been more professional and help me book the next earliest slot. They were extremely helpful and was so nice. Moreover, the mechanic Tanner was really quick to do the service I didn’t have to wait for a long time, knowing that they were busy and fully booked that day. This branch at 99 St. is by far the best auto service I’ve been to.

They were able to get us in for the repairs required very quickly. They explained everything, they quoted the price up front. They communicated with us in regards to all work required. I was very happy they were able to get the work done so quickly and they were able to source the parts locally and quickly.I would recommend this MIDAS without a second thought and will be returning in the future for other work when needed.
This time the service I received from Mike was Excellent. Last time wasn't that kind of appreciating since I felt like I was getting ripped.2 front struts were quoted for around 1900 plus labor and tax whereas the same thing was fixed at Canadian tire for just $900 all in.Excellent service this time though. ✌️😉
