In addition to headlamps, other lights available from Midas include:

ASK THE MECHANIC

Lights, Wipers & Accessories FAQs

Q: Both my headlights work, but it seems like there is still a dark spot on the road in front of me when they are on. What's the deal with that?

A: Just like the chassis can be aligned to point all four tires in the right direction, the same is true for your headlights. The service is called “headlight aiming”. We use special equipment to make sure your headlights are aimed correctly, according to legal and manufacturer specifications.

Q: Is there a benefit of HID headlights over halogen lights?

A: Yes. HID headlights last longer and are much brighter, especially at long distances. They also have a more natural warm spectrum of color (rather than cold blue), which is more optimized for the human eye. LED taillights react faster, last longer and require much less electrical current to operate, which saves fuel.

Q: I see a lot of different kinds of wiper blades that will fit my car. How do I know which one to buy?

A: No problem. Just check the application guide. It will tell you which wiper blades are right for you.

Q: I have a newer car that has LED headlights. Are they more expensive to replace than standard headlights?

A: Actually, LED (Light Emitting Diode) bulbs are used in many modern taillights, but headlights use HID (High Intensity Discharge) bulbs. Both types cost considerably more to replace than incandescent (traditional filament-style) bulbs, but they can last 10-15 times longer than incandescent (filament-type) bulbs.
