Assistant Shop Manager

We are seeking expert auto repair technicians, who are ASE certified and have driveability skills. Use your ASE Certifications and years of experience to diagnose and provide quality vehicle repair services in a time and cost effective manner. Our Assistant Shop Managers assists the shop manager in all aspects of shop operation and improving sales results through the satisfaction and retention of customers. They help promote the Midas name and services, analyze vehicle service needs, effectively communicate those needs to the customer; and ensure that quality services are performed on the vehicle in a timely yet thorough manner. They also ensures the shop maintains a high professional image.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Superior ability to positively relate and communicate with customers, including outstanding telephone skills.
  • Mathematical skills are necessary for creation of estimates and billing.
  • Ability to diagnose and inspect vehicles to make fair and honest recommendations to customers of needed repairs and potential problem areas.
  • Prior responsibilities of leading, motivating and counseling employees under his/her direction on issues such as safety, quality, and policy and procedure administration/implementation.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations applicable to vehicle repair facilities.
  • Experience in controlling expenses through appropriate inventory and human resource management.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance to keep facility equipment in safe and effective operating condition is a plus.

Automotive Technician

We are seeking experienced Automotive Technicians who are ASE certified and have drivability skills. Use your ASE Certifications and years of experience to diagnose and provide quality vehicle repair services in a time and cost effective manner. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical Degree a definite plus.
  • Minimum of two (2) ASE Certifications, one of which is in brakes.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with vehicle repairs.
  • Ability to relate well with customers and to explain needed repairs in a friendly, non-technical manner.
  • Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment.
  • Track record of high personal productivity.
  • Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities.
  • Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, welders, diagnostic equipment, etc.
  • May require experience in leading other, less qualified, technicians in vehicle repairs.

Customer Service Representative

Our Customer Service Representatives provide direct point of contact with customers in a manner that creates a trusting relationship thereby promoting customer retention and loyalty. They handle payment transactions, and maintain a positive image for Midas. Must have the ability to proactively explain to customers the service needs necessary for their vehicle, and the ability to utilize point-of–sale software to generate estimates and invoices is critical in order to be successful in this role.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Superior ability to positively relate and communicate with customers, including outstanding telephone skills.
  • Knowledge in automotive repair in order to explain services to customers.
  • Experience in implementing product and service promotions.
  • Mathematical skills are necessary for creation of estimates and billing.
  • Assist shop management in maintaining appropriate inventory levels, including the purchase of parts and materials.
  • Previous experience with point-of-sale software.

General Service Technician

Our General Service Technician provides general services for vehicle maintenance and repair, such as oil changes, tire rotation and replacement, etc., and does so in a safe, efficient, and productive manner. Under the guidance of an Experienced Technician, assists in vehicle repairs. Operates vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Interacts with customers in a courteous and friendly manner. Assists in maintaining shop appearance and safety standards and in ensuring the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions. Adheres to all shop policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some or limited training in automotive repair, with demonstrated ability and desire to learn and develop further in this area.
  • Some experience in vehicle maintenance and minor repairs, including the use of appropriate power tools.
  • Ability to receive instruction and to follow rules and procedures.

Service Advisor

Our Service Advisors serve as a point of contact between the shop, customers, and vendors. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: explaining work required or suggested on vehicle; communicating factory-scheduled maintenance interval work advised by OEM; sourcing of all parts needed for estimate and building of estimate; maintaining open communication with customers either via telephone or in person regarding quotes, scheduling of current & future appointments and work in progress; assisting Manager with bay management scheduling.

Requirements:
  • Must possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to utilize point-of-sale software.
