We called asking for an appt- they fit us in, welcomed us and helped answer any questions we had. The interactions amongst the staff was friendly and comforting while waiting for our vehicle to be done. A successful team is obvious in how they work together- we saw that today.
I called on a Friday and was able to get an appointment first thing Monday. Once I was there, there were some questions about the right oil for my car, since their system was not working normally. The staff said they didn’t want to put in the wrong oil and asked me to come back the next day, when someone else in the team was going to review my case. I came in the next morning and they were able to get everything fixed and had a fair turn around time.
We were on our way home to Michigan from Florida. We had a mechanical problem and saw the Midas shop in Gainesville across the street. We “limped “ in without an appointment. They got us right in , diagnosed the issue( water pump ) ordered and obtained the parts, made the repairs and got us back on the road within 4 hours. AND they were super helpful and friendly while we waited..They bailed us out when we were in a bad situation. And all with a smile. Can’t say enough. I hope you reach out to them and reinforce to them what a great job they did and how much it meant to us. Thank you so much !!!

I needed an oil change and a tires rotation. I noticed the tech didn’t not rotate the tires. I was told the tech didn’t rotate the tires because the front tire thread is better then the rear tires. I have had so many oil change and tire rotation before. This is the first time I heard this. This is obviously a pretense. Nobody would have mentioned it if I did not bring up.

Mr. Wesley Mann took care of my visit and he was very acknowledge of the situation. After an inspection he took me to my car and show me the brakes and pads while explaining why I needed them ASAP due to the metal on metal. I was very please with his expertise so I told him that he can work on my car.
I informed them that the main problem with the exhaust and also to check my brakes. They said we will look at everything then I got a call that the vehicle was ready but the noise was still there. They said the exhaust guy was not there so they only put some plastic to reduce the noise and cleaned the brakes and charged me $250
Oil change was done sloppy oil left all on my pan etc. I also didnt appreciate trying to be sold well told i needed to get certain items repaired on my vehicle that don’t need to be. I like a company that is honest and those recommendations weren’t honest. Was told I needed an air filter but just put a new one in right before the oil change so why would i need to replace that.

I am from WI and traveling home. Experienced a blow out and Midas sold me two tires and installed in a timely manner. The reason I will not return to the store is the fact I live over 1200 miles away.
Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. If the tires I wanted had been able to arrive same day, I would have been 100% satisfied. Instead I'm having to make 2 trips to Midas for this work to be completed. Still, the service associates are excellent and they make the time I spend at Midas a most pleasant experience overall.

I came with a coupon for an oil change for $49 when they got done it was $79.00. I called about the $30 service fee and asked what the regular oil change would be w/o coupon and they said $79. So the coupon actually is misleading in the price. The mgr said no coupon you get is actually what you pay. I thought WHAT is the coupon for then? I do not plan on going back for that reason and the misleading coupon.
I blew an alternator belt while traveling back to Indiana which lead to my water pump belt breaking and my tensioner. With being a Saturday I called 6 other shops that were all closed before coming across Midas. I noticed it was a tire shop but still gave it a call anyway and the manager Wesley was so kind and told me to come there and they would fix whatever needed to be fixed to get back on the road. If I was in the Gainesville area again this would be my stop for an assistance but since I live in Indiana I don’t see it likely to be back in Gainesville for tires and service
Chris was super helpful and squeezed me in last minute on a Friday at 5pm. I can tell he had a long day but him and the team still replaced my tire and helped me safely travel to Tampa that evening to visit my sister. Thank you Chris and the Midas team!!

When I called to schedule an appointment for the following week, they offered me an earlier appointment. I was worried they wouldn't be able to get all the work done in one day (I needed my car the next day) but they came through with flying colors. They let me know exactly what the price would be before starting the work. The staff was friendly and the establishment was clean and comfortable. The price of the work was reasonable and they didn't try to sell me something I didn't ask for. Much better service than the dealership for a much better price. I had a Groupon but didn’t expect the service and maintenance charge of $17. It was still a bargain but that extra $17 charge I wasn’t too happy about. Unexpected surprise but I’m glad I had funds to pay for it.

Friendliness and knowledge of staff
I scheduled an appointment for an oil change with synthetic blend. I’ve had my car for almost 4 years and always used this blend. I came in and the staff was extremely rude, demanding I use synthetic (double the price) and I was confused as I’ve always used blend. I called my brother who is a mechanic and he told me the manual recommends it but does not require it, blend is fine since I am a local driver. I let the staff know I would like to continue using blend and they refused my service. They said they are not allowed to use that in my car as “policy” which I know for a fact is not true since my car does not require anything… not only did I leave without service, they had a nasty attitude the entire time. I went to jiffy lube where they assured me my car would take the blend no problem and apologized for Midas behavior. You should speak with your staff about how to communicate with clients and give factual information on services.

While driving from Atlanta to Miami, I had to spend the night in Gainesville. The following day, I had a flat tire, so bad that I could not move the car anywhere. A Midas was at Archer Rd., walking distance from the hotel. They lent me a pump, so I was able to put some air, and take the car to the store. I walked back to the hotel, had breakfast and by the time I was checking out, they called me that my car was ready. It was perfect!! Thanks, Midas and Chris Wolfe, you saved my day.

I was a walk-in. I did not expect to get my car serviced. I tried to make an appointment but Chris said there were only two cars ahead of me if I wanted to wait. The only downside to this visit was the gentleman cursing and screaming about why he had to be the one to fix a flat, and how it would have just been easier to replace the tire. My kids and I could hear it all. The staff overall was excellent, waked us step by step, price, showed us what had caused the tire to keep losing air, and even the guy who fixed the flat did an excellent job at fixing it. He was just having a bad day I guess.

While Melissa was explaining charges, fees, labor goes up if part is "Free" from $160 to $171 Mr Man asked her to stop, hurry up & get rid of me. When I was about to check out, he started blaming me for the situation and i felt like dying with his comments about me not understanding Midas Polices. I was so embarrassed. I had never been treated like that. I was able to see how racist he is. He's was practically asking me lo leave. I used to be a good customer since 2019 when I moved to Gainesville, but not anymore. The experience was solid. There was just confusion scheduling the appointment as well as a long wait upon arrival. Thankfully my experience was faster than every one else in the shop around me but there seemed to be a lot of confusion. Overall the job was done at a fair price (Groupon).

They told me that they were wrapping everything up and I thought they were almost done, but it was another 45 minutes after that the service was done.
I booked an appointment on Saturday and showed up to the appointment on time but my appointment was canceled after 1 hour of waiting. The next time I showed up on Tuesday and again had to wait for an hour because the employees were chilling at the store and the appointment time was not respected although I specified that I am taking a leave from my job for this. After all this, the employees inspected my car specifying that it would cost $80 for diagnostics. However, the bill to fix my car came out way more than I expected so I decided to decline the service at that time. For some reason, the price for diagnostics came up to $187 and the employee could not give me a good explanation why am I getting that bill except that you signed this paper that says I will pay this amount for fixing the car and not for diagnostics alone. I have dealt with Midas stores in other cities but I don't think I will ever make that mistake again as the store employees were very unprofessional and unethical and probably took advantage of me because they suspected that I am not from around Gainesville.

While I was at the 3845 SW Archer Rd, Gainesville, FL 32608 Midas location, I had the oil changed on my 2015 Toyota Prius. The oil change was fine, the price was in line with other shops, and the mechanic team did well.My issue was that while I was waiting in the waiting room for about 50 minutes for my car to get done, the person who checked me in, Melissa, (she said she was the location manager of this midas) was speaking to colleague of hers behind the desk.Here is a non-exhausitve overview of all the things she said:-She was speaking loudly enough for myself to hear everything she said extremely clearly, not trying to hide it at all-She began harshly disparaging and just outright insulting an employee at this location, his name may have been Ed or Fred (I can't remember exactly)-She repeatedly and intensely insulted his work ethic, capabilities, attitude, personality, age, character, and countless other things about him to the person she was talking to-She joked about how incompetent he was and that she even sent him home early that dayI was incredibly uncomfortable the entire time, and upset for EdI wanted Midas to know that this was & is happening with Melissa
The whole time I was there the saleswoman was on the phone loud talking about staff getting written up for what he said to her.. Her days off ..Camping trips just a whole phone conversation about nothing relevant enough to ignore customers while she talks..
They did not fix the problem.The vehicle still makes the same noise it did when i brought the vehicle in there.I`m not happy about that.
I never received a phone call stating that my vehicle was ready. When I returned to Midas over 2 hours later I assumed my vehicle was still being worked on. My vehicle was still in the work area with the other vehicles so I sat down. The associate never mention that my car was ready she was on a personal phone most of the time. I was there waiting so eventually I walked up asked when will my car be ready and she said oh your car is done. I tried to call you. I never received a phone call a phone call at all. Other than that, she was very friendly and knowledgeable just not attentive to her customers because she was on a personal phone most of the time.

They stalled my manual Subaru WRX 4 times to get it up the ramp to be lifted. I said I would drive it up but they just kept trying.
Make sure the service is properly done. I stopped for an oil change on the 25th because I had a trip scheduled for the 26th. Because of the severe oil leakage I had to rent a vehicle for my trip. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!

I brought a coupon for an oil change. The coupon offered 2 deals one for synthetic blend and one full synthetic I wanted to use the synthetic blend. Well I didn’t a chance to pick when the rep already had entered that I wanted full synthetic. When I asked why he did that. The gentleman advised that my car had a turbo and that’s why I couldn’t use the blend. My car has no turbo. I ended up getting the full synthetic, but I felt that he was trying to be sneaky.
The tire sign was active on the panel, they said it will desapear after a couple of miles. It wasn't that way, I had to go to the menu and set it myself

Prices are way too high for simple things like spark plugs for 400 dollars, try to add bunch of stuff you don't need and scare you into spending more of your money, the person up front was fake not honest.
Despite specifying that I was bringing in a Fiat and clarifying that they did do oil changes on them, they did not have oil for my car and had to order it (why they didn't carry it, I don't know. This has never been something I've run into). I also made a 1pm appointment and it took 40 minutes for it to even go into a bay (and over 2 hours from appointment time to completion). Overall, while the staff I interacted with were friendly and courteous and kept me up to date on why everything took so long, it was a frustrating and disappointing process. I realize my Fiat is more complicated than some cars, but I've taken it to half a dozen other places in multiple states for general upkeep and maintenance and never had anyone have to order in oil for a routine oil change.

I was getting my brakes fixed. I thought it would be well over 1500 for the job, cause they were in really bad shape. I also hadn't had an oil change in over a year and almost destroyed my engine. They got me in very quickly, I didn't have to wait around for my car to be done and it was done far quicker than I thought it would take. Definitely will be going back for oil changes every time.

I was told I nail was on my tires shoulder, when I asked to see it the representative was annoyed. When I saw the nail I realized there was nothing wrong. The service technician did not even check to see if the nail had penetrated the tire or not. They simply wanted me to get a new tire without even checking if that was actually needed. I went home and took the nail out myself because the nail had not penetrated the tire.

The service was great, the representative was polite, explained pricing after I asked, the time of service was expected. The extra fees for the Oil Change kept my rating from reaching Highly Satisfied as compared to other places it doesn't allow Midas to stand out, the fees were not explained in pricing when I looked them up, otherwise, Midas is excellent for oil changes for me.
The man who worked the front counter on 8/16 around 5pm was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I believe his name was Kenneth; couldn't catch it over the phone. Made it very stress-free for me.
The tech determined that my tire wasn’t repairable, so I asked to have the spare put on so I could get home. I didn’t want to put a single tire on of a different brand/tread. The tech threw my belongings haphazardly out the back of my car to access the tool to lower the spare. Then couldn’t figure out how to lower the spare and got upset. Didn’t explain why, but drove my vehicle to the front of the store with the air hissing out of the damaged tire. Then the manager asked him to take it back to the bay and he drove it fast around the shop, so I proceeded to follow and see what his problem was. When he opened the back door I was immediately upset with how he treated and reloaded my belongings (suitcase, large cooler, etc). The manager was able to get the spare tire off the vehicle. And they put it on. The front help reloaded my things correctly and didn’t charge me for waiting for almost 2 hours to change a spare for a flat. I guess I should be thankful they didn’t charge me, but it was a terrible experience that seemed like it was never going to end for a less than 30 minute job that took 2 hours.

The a/c was not very cold. I made an appointment for the time that I wanted and they looked into the issue. Now I just have a setting of a low fan as it gets quite cold with a minimal fan setting. So that?s a great result.
