I went to Midas for the HI state inspection, oil change and tire rotation as I did last year. The sales associate gave me an estimate for over $ 5,000 for repairs in order to pass the inspection. He said that my wheel cylinders, power steering pump, rack and pinion and valve covers were leaking. I would fail the inspection unless these issues were addressed. I left with a failed safety inspection and went for a second opinion and was able to get the power steering pump and wheel cylinders repaired as the rack and pinion and valve covers were fine. These repairs cost less than $ 1,000 total. This Midas was great last year and told me that the valve covers had a small leak but nothing to worry about. Everything else was fine. I drive less than 2,000 miles per year. I feel as if I was taken advantage of and I don't know why. I am honest and respectful to everyone. The second opinion really made me feel bad about Midas. It's not right to oversell products. You'll get more customers by being honest and trying to help instead of hurt. I worked at Jiffy Lube when I was in high school and always went the extra mile to help customer. Midas should do the same.

I am very grateful to Darian from the Dillingham branch. I mentioned to him that I needed all my tires changed since one had a puncture. I brought it, he drove in his car to pick up the tires for me and bring it, install it, and send me off. I am really impressed with his service along with the team who jumped in to make it happen! Went in for safety check they were effient friendly and finished quickly. I also order a back windshield wiper that came while I was waiting so I didn’t have to return.

Everything was perfect the only thing was scheduling an appointment because I did it by phone but when I get to do the safety check inspection the person on the desk told me that they didn’t have my appointment registered so I have to make a new one for the next week and was fine and perfect!

I went to Midas for a safety check when I was told that they needed to fix my windshield wiper and license plate light to pass my safety check. I was completely fine with it until I received the estimate. The labor was worth more than quadruple the light. I don't understand how it's $30 for the labor to install a tiny light that anyone could do. They didn't explain anything about the estimate and never had a smile on their faces. Absolutely horrible. I will never come back again.

Took my tire in for patching, despite the shop closing in 45 minutes. And with a positive attitude. The whole store saved me. Helped me. I could go to work the next day and so forth because of all of you. Thank you so much.

I needed to get my safety check done and got an oil change at the same time. Found that my rear brakes needed to be cleaned to pass safety. Everything was done in about an hour. Fast, friendly, and very efficient. They explained everything to me and the price for it. I've been going there for years and will continue to go back.

responded to AD in Weekly which stated 54.99 which was misleading as it did not state that Labor Would be an additional charge and did not mention a complete cost. I was quite shocked that they were not even aware of the ad or the discount and I had to ask twice to get the discount. which as it turned out was only half of the discount on the internet so they had to give me a new quote for the additional $5. I went in thinking I get an oil change and filter for $54.99 plus disposal, taxes and such and end up paying way more at $91 plus. The service was OK at over an hour and 15 min. with an appt. and they did point out a another problem with the car which was appreciated.

There was a question on my service coupons and there was telephone conversations with other staff. I was happy it wa shonored and i hope the question on the coupon signatures are worked out. I can send copies of the letter and other 2 coupons if needed

Richard at the front desk was super friendly. The service was pretty fast once the car went into the garage. I didn't receive an explanation of the courtesy check and the notes of the mechanic when I checked out. However, I did have a crying 2 year old and the mechanics notes were fairly straightforward.
