Get honest employees. Over charging for parts, lying about items needing replaced that didn't, just so they can get more money. My $500 brakes turned in to $979!! Rip off!! Would not let me take my car when I told them I'm not paying that much for brakes, before they even did the work

We have used this location in the past and had great service. New staff is very unprofessional and the quote we received was way over priced. Parts were quoted at 3x the amount of parts being sold at our local auto part store. Half of the work quoted was not needed. Found another garage that fixed the car for 1/3 of the price quoted.
The Midas team was very helpful in finding the root cause of the problem that occurred l, they performed a thorough inspection and found not only the problem, but also safety concerns. They offered repairs at a fair price, and the vehicle is repaired and safe again. I am extremely satisfied with the services provided.
dropped off my truck and walked to Menards a block away. After doing some shopping returned and they hadn't even started balancing my tires instead were waiting too show me the upsell. I was the manager at this store years ago and understand why we used the upsell but the work could have been completed or I could have been called. Another thing while I'm ranting I found completely wrong was the young child allowed to run around ( I think she was the managers daughter) in the shop. And again the shop is a mess. I would have fired people when I was in charge if the shop was in that condition.

I was told it would be roughly an hour, and after my oil change and tires rotated it was almost 2 hours. Also, the year, make and model of my car was not verified and my old car was written on the paper. And the other associate said they may have used the wrong oil in my car.

Dylan went above and beyond to make sure that our car repair was smooth and seamless. We came in and couldn't stop because our brake pedal was going to the floor. Dylan quickly pulled our car in and diagnosed the problem with his mechanics. When we couldn't get the parts the same day Dylan had them ordered and ready for installation the next morning. We couldn't ask for better customer service.
We were on a road trip and had an emergency issue with brake. We had no appointment yet they fit us right in ans explained everything so well.
My appointment was for 4 PM and when I arrived, I was told my car would not be serviced until around 5 PM as they had a couple appointments ahead of me that took longer than expected. Understandable, I left my car and I was told I would receive a phone call when it was ready. I did not receive a phone call. Therefore, I called around 7 PM And the service manager was still there and said my vehicle was done. I picked up my vehicle with the expectation that I received my oil change, inspection and tire rotation as promised, but I did not. This is the second vehicle I’ve had at this location where they’ve made up some excuse of why they did not rotate my tires. And when I entered my vehicle, it was dirty. The service manager was extremely friendly, but I am very dissatisfied with the service and quality of work I received. I will not be returning to the location unfortunately.

Leaking oil filter after service had to be redone
I'm used to going to take 5 oil change which is much quicker. Take 5 also air up my tires there and Midas doesn't. I went to Midas to make sure I got a thorough vehicle inspection and I do feel like I got that.
Two years ago when we had our CR-V in for an oil change the engine cover was not properly secured after the oil change. The cover came lose. Luckily we were near a Honda dealership and they repaired it. A year ago when changing the oil on my Ford Pickup the old rubber seal was not removed causing the oil to leak out and the engine to freeze up. Had to have the truck towed back to the Midas shop. Luckily there was no engine damage. This year when I went to pick up my pickup from an oil change the door handle was broken. Still waiting for them to order the new part and install it.
The building is in terrible condition. The garage doors look ready to fall apart as I drove in. Used the bathroom that had no doorknob on the door requiring practically breaking my finger to open. The entire inside of the customer area is a disgrace to any real business. Anyone that asks me about the visit I will tell them to be prepared for a rather dump of a building. Wasn't this place built like twenty years ago?! It looks like no money has been spent on upkeep. I work construction and find my dollars spent at a business that doesn't want to spend money on making a presentable business appearance wasted. After writing this I realize I doubt if I will ever come back unless desperate.

I brought my vehicle to get new tires put on and an alignment. They called me to let me know that I had a locking mechanism on some of my lug nuts and they did not have the key to unlock it, and would need to use and extractor to get them off. He told me he needed my permission because they might break when he takes them off. I said if any break, that’s fine just replace them and I’ll pay for them. After leaving, I was missing 3 lug nuts with no communication
I’m sure my tires were not rotated bc I could c my car up on the lift and never saw a tire removed. And no info sheet on what they checked or looked at so I Have noidea what they really did. They used to give details on what they did

Went in for a simple oil change came with with a mess had to get my car towed back to Midas because they said oil filter was bad (bulls***) ridiculous
Set up appointment and it was acknowledged. Never got a call back. Called and was told they never got it even though I got an electronic acknowledgment. When I called they got me in within a half hour of when I had requested. This may be an electronic problem that they had no control of.
I will never be using Midas again. I came in for an oil change at 11 AM and didn't get to leave until 6:30 PM. My car was held hostage for an hour and a half due to problems with my debit card. I was treated like some sort of criminal or deadbeat just because my invoice was over the daily limit allowed on my card. The mechanics were all filthy (and wearing inappropriate clothing in my opinion) and everything in the store smelled awful. this was the most unprofessional shop I've ever been in. Finally, I was way overcharged for the parts and service used to fix my car. I've talked to a few mechanics who said I should've paid about half what I did for the work performed. You're all criminals and shouldn't be allowed to stay in business.
The guys at our shop found an issue with my car that a different auto shop did to my car. This means do much to me and Midas really does care about you.

The service writer was very friendly and professional. The repair was done in a reasonable amount of time and the repair was done correctly and the car is performing as it should. Compared to national averages, the labor cost was at the highest end of the spectrum. I didn't expect the labor to be cheap, it just seems high for the service performed.

I made an appointment for 2 tires and an oil change on Monday. I was told the tires should be in by my appointment on Friday and that it should be done in a few hours. I dropped my car off before open and they did not contact me until around noon. In which they told me they didn’t have the tires or even order them. So my car had been sitting for 5 hours at this point. They I was told by Dylan, which is the same guy who had made my original appointment that he didn’t know I needed an oil change as well. In which took another 4 hours as my car wasn’t ready to be picked up until 4:30… to add to that I was quoted a price for my oil change and then he tells me it’s over $100 which would mean that they lied to me about price and I would’ve never gone there for work at all if I knew this. I feel like I was lied to as well as money being stolen from me as well. My car is also not running as well as it did before I brought it in… not sure what else to add as I feel like this in itself is bad enough.
I brought my vehicle in for a scheduled inspection at 8am. After several issues we're noted, Dylan showed me the existing issues and what service was recommended. Thinking I would have to schedule another appointment, I was surprised to be told they could start on my vehicle immediately.
I had an appointment at 11. Truck didn't get touched until 430. This cause me to miss out on $500 at work. The management was aware I needed to go to work and pushed the truck back further and further. Then told me I owed more than the original estimate because it took longer than expected.
Well the new manager at this location went above and beyond to do he’s very best even though he’s employees walked out on him he got me in the next day and the day I had my service done he pulled up his sleeves and helped another customer out himself now that is teamwork even if he was a manager he showed that he is willing to step up and get a job done 👍
Dylan was very accommodating when I made an appointment on the same day as I needed to get my rear breaks fixed a.s.a.p. He also let me know what was happening each step of the repair.
Shane was very helpful. He explained what I might need in the near future without making me feel pressured or uneasy driving the car. I don't remember if it was Mike or Jerry who suggested I do another maintenance job to my car. Again, no pressure. Very nice group of men working there. Acknowledge their efforts.

I was quoted $1200 for brakes and rotors. I refused that price and did not get the work done. The car's brakes sounded way worse when I left the parking lot than when I came. The attendant told me he would not drive the car out of the lot and not on the highway-that I had 2 days max with the state of the car's brakes. I went to Big Boys's Tires in LaSalle, IL and got the work done for $360 including an oil change. Brake pads and turned one rotor. I had told Midas attendant that I was going to trade my car in and wanted to get the best value. I found that at Big Boy's and not at Midas. I did not appreciate the scare tactics used by the Midas attendant which the Service person at Big Boy's said was not true. That was a big failure for Midas and I will never return. If I chose pads only from Midas, it was still quoted at $700+.
My previous shop has been slipping and I no longer had confidence in their competence. I went to Midas when my Envoy needed service on the power steering. I found the Midas Personal to be personable and knowledgeable and treated me well.
I always come into Midas whenever I have any issues with my vehicle. Service is great with friendly staff who make sure all my car issues are resolved before I leave!

I always feel like I'm getting ripped off when i go to this place, except for when I get an oil change and tire rotation, because those things I can actually see. A former employee at this place told me that they intentionally over charge the customers for the parts, way over. And we all know some places charge for work that they don't do. It's hard to find a good mechanic that you can actually trust. So far I haven't found one, but when I do I definitely will not be going back to Midas!
