I phones on Thursday when my low tire light started coming on and I was leaving for a roadtrip the next day and the receptionist was super helpful and booked me early the next morning and the service technicians checked the tires very thoroughly and found a large staple causing a leak (which would have been missed by most places). it gave me good peace of mind for my travels. Oil Change / Tire Rotation / Checks?

Staff was friendly. Pricing was good, but I went in with lower tire pressure on one tire and the car was returned in exactly the same state, meaning that even though they checked off the tire pressure adjustment was completed and it was part of the package, the service was not performed. Since this is one of the simplest tasks to complete, I have to question then what other aspects of the overall service/checks (ie fluid top up, brake check, coolant, etc) were also not completed. Back in the day Midas used to provide reports of the exact numerical indications of coolant rating, tire pressure, tire treadware, etc. At least then the consumer could confirm, with some degree of confidence, that these checks were actually being performed.

Oil change

I got an oil change and was quoted online for 40 dollars. It Includes the tire rotation and filter change. They asked if we take synthetic oil and we do so I said yes I signed the form and waited for my car. When I got back I had to pay 83$ which was never quoted to me and it was never mentioned that synthetic would have been more expensive. It literally says on the wall theyre supposed to have it written how much I have to pay before the service is done. Everything else was okay expect for them being sneaky about how much it really cost.

I walked into the 13038 - 97 St. location, recently. I was greeted by Gary Smith upon entering. I had walked here, while waiting for a windshield replacement across the street. I asked for an out of province vehicle inspection to be carried out ASAP. Gary told me to bring vehicle over, after windshield replacement. Inspection was carried out, and we picked up vehicle later that day. The vehicle had to be returned the next morning for a visual inspection of the required repair. My vehicle passed and Gary handed me the required certificate to have vehicle transferred to my sons name. We had to depart on an aircraft that same day. Gary held the certificate, so my son could pick it up before ownership transfer, but luckily I was actually able to submit a copy to registry office and they accepted it. Thank you for your professionalism, Gary. Very much appreciated.

1967 Cutlass

Required a oxygen sensor bung welded into the header collector for my fuel injection system. Had a quote in the morning and was told they could do it same day. Came back later that day with the car to get the work done without an appointment. They were fairly busy, but did get me in about 10 minutes. Did the work as per the quote, plus sealed a few extra previous welds that were leaking in the exhaust system done by another shop. Good customer service.

A disagreement with pricing.

I had submitted a complaint on line because I was overcharged for a part installed on my car. I phoned in and mentioned my concern. Gave examples on the part cost at other locations etc. Was advised that they have to purchase the part and perhaps there was a error in this regards. Told they would give me a free oil change. I rather doubted this would happen, so I submitted my concerns. Today I received a phone call from Jay who stated he was surprised I submitted the statement, as he has the free oil change listed in my account. I now am very sorry for my over reaction. He was very nice to deal with and the compensation is more then I could have expected. Been dealing with Midas at that location for many years, and had always been very satisfied. I highly recommend this business.

Quality Service but Long Wait

I had oil change, tire and rim change, and tire swap done on my car. I had old all-seasons on rims that needed to be taken off and new all-seasons to be put on the rims. Then, I wanted that to be swapped onto the car and replace the winters that was on the car. All of that took 4.5 hours. There was a communication mix-up and the new all-seasons got put on the winter tire rims. So, nothing went wrong in terms of quality, but the service took way too long for what should've been 2 hours or so (I was told 1.5-2 hours). I understand the communication mix-up but 4.5 hours is not what I anticipated to wait for. (o be fair, the next day, I brought in another car and that only took 1.5 hours for tire swap and oil change.) So, it's not a total fail but need to be aware of the time. Thanks!

My Visit

I am a client of Midas and usually I do oil/filter changes. My visit this time was of another nature, issues with my muffler. Your front staff are always friendly when one enters Midas. They let you explain your issue then they provide options and solutions. I needed an estimate before making a decision as to what to do. They even let me in the garage and speak with the mechanic who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Everyone at Midas explains in a way one can understand and no surprise add ons!!! Non accurate appointment

I don't know why this time they were late in entering my car into oil change service despite that I dropped off my car 15 minutes before my appointment. And I returned back after one hour and my car still outside the garage and they haven't started with it yet. When I asked the store manager there, he answered that they were busy and he gave me 2 options which are to wait for another hour or to reschedule my appointment and leave. By the way, I booked for my appointment 4 days before. I guess the store manager doesn't have the customer service sense and not qualified enough to deal with customers. I like to continue the business with you but not with that manager. Thanks.
