Also, you refuse to email invoices to me without me requesting it, and this is only after I receive a past due statement notice. I would be happy to pay in a timely manner, but you insist the only way to get an invoice to our business is to hand a paper copy to the random person who brings the vehicle in to get serviced. These make it to our Accounts Payable team 0% of the time. It's 2023, everything is electronic these days and it seems very old fashioned to operate this way.
They called in the mid morning saying they were working on it and should be done soon. We needed the car back before 5. I needed to call them to see if the work was completed at 4:30....

Firstly - I think the store manager there does the best job he can. Very professional. However, there was a mistake made in ordering the brake lines for my vehicle. After which, even more inconvenient circumstances, outside of anyone's control led to my vehicle having to be in the shop a lot longer than expected. I do think I was reimbursed fairly, and I believe retaining my business and Midas's reputation is a priority of the manager there and in that vein he did a very good job. Doing the best in a difficult situation is the best anyone can do.
I contacted Midas twice online for an appointment and didnât hear back until I called later that week. I was never told my car was done and had to call a day later.

My most recent experience was horrible. I had my oil changed at another location that I prefer to have a lot of my maintenance done for. During their inspection they (the other company) noted I needed new brake pads and potentially new rotors. I had gotten them replaced at Midas on 78th and Metcalf in Overland Park, KS several years prior and remembered the guarantee. They did the replacement and when I left at closing my car was making a weird noise. I called first thing the next day and was told to bring it in. When I arrived they did not have time to look at it and scheduled me for the next day. I specifically asked if it was okay to drive on and was assured it was. The next day I was told it was a wheel bearing needing replaced and their tech noted it but it did not get discussed with me at any point by their assistant manager. I was told it was an immediate fix. He slid a $677 bill to me right there and asked how I was going to pay. I opted for a second opinion and took my business elsewhere. I specifically asked if I was in danger to drive it and was told no to find out I could have ended in an accident.

I had a muffler replaced under warranty. The replacement muffler appears and sounds to be of lesser quality and has no warranty. I was not advised that replacement muffler was not the same as I originally purchased. It would have been nice to have been so advised and at least given the option to perhaps pay some pro-rated price to get another warranted muffler, especially given the price of installation.
They told me I had an oil leak that was going to cost around 1k for fixing and looking for other leaks. Since I had not seen any signs of an oil leak such as smoke or spots on my driveway, I took it for a second opinion. Midas told me there was oil all over my engine and they'd had to clean it before being able to tell where all the leaks were. Second opinion said I had a slight film on ONE location that didn't even need really fixed. As a single mother, I watch my money and am sickened this location tried to sham me.

I made an appointment for tire change, was at location for an hour before they told me they didnât even have my tires in stock. Then when they came into stock the lift dropped my car and there were damages to car. I now have to get my car damages estimated. This will also decrease the value in my car

This meant a lot to me because it showed they all cared about explaining it to me so I could understand the process better! I want to say first that the work is great, I appreciate the attention to detail and the quality of the service. The communication throughout the entire process was really, really bad though. Upon checkin, I was promised either the issue resolved or a plan to solve it with my vehicle back in driveable condition. Being that the location was closed on Sunday and the appt was Saturday, I never heard from them and had to call and leave a voicemail after hours. We're a one vehicle family and were completely without transportation the entire weekend. I had to call on Monday to get any sort of update and we ultimately didn't get our vehicle back until close to end of day. I get everyone is short staffed and uber busy, but I would take even a 'still working on it' text over the lack of communication entirely.
Not sure what has happened this place in the past has been awesome. We're now going on appt #4 where we take the cars in are told they'd be serviced then they are not and can't be fixed today. Don't schedule the appointment if you can service the car!

I took my car in for breaks. So why do I get in my car only to find the air filter has been opened and not closed back up. This resulting in a super loud car. If you are going to provide ?services? then do them fully not partially.
