Start the work in the time promised or communicate with the customer that you cannot. I waited in the store over 4.5 hours waiting on a wheel alignment because the person who was able to do it was not scheduled to come in until later. That’s completely fine but the work was not started until an hour and a half after it was promised to start.
Get better employees with better customer service skills. I will never be back there.
The staff were friendly and answered my questions.
There were a few basic things. First, the person left a dirty mat on the floor of my car, Second, I asked for my tires to be rotated. They didn’t provide the service. When I brought this to their attention. The associate said that because my car is all wheel drive that I didn’t need to rotate my tires. He did it as soon as I asked, which I appreciated but the commentary felt like an unnecessary dig. It’s less likely that I’ll return.
Communicate that an oil change would take 2.5 hours. Even though car was not worked on until last 30 minutes. I would have gone on errands and then came back later that day when they could have immediately done the oil change vs. Sitting for 2 hours before any work was done.
The new manager at S. Kingshighway, Samuel, was nice and professional. The tech, Carey, is extremely knowledgeable and truly educated me about what was going on with my vehicles. He's a gem. :)

Hire better mechanics and knowledgeable managers
I made an appointment on line, like I’ve done before, and then called to verify the next day ! Then got to my appointment and they said none was set
I was easily able to make an inspections appointment over the phone. I planned to wait with my car. When I arrived, staff could only use one computer to check people in. I was told there were three inspections ahead of my scheduled time so it would take a few hours. I left my car and received a phone call about repairs. I was quoted a brake replacement of $7xx, but we discussed cutting back the repair and was then quoted $3xx. I came back when the repair was complete to pay. It took over an hour for them to check me out. They tried to charge me $7xx even though they did the smaller repair for $3xx. They didn’t know how to fix it in the computer system and the manager kept walking away from the counter and doing other things. They finally charged me the correct amount and I was able to leave. It was unacceptable to take over an hour to resolve the ticket issue. The staff was prioritizing conversations with each other over addressing my issue. My experiences at midas keep getting more and more negative. I do not plan to return to that location.

I called to make an appointment for an alignment and safety inspection after failing for front end parts at a different shop. The front office staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. The manager took the time to listen to me and communicated to the tech that my lug nut had been cross threaded by the other shop. He also let me know my emissions inspection was only good for 30 days and had expired so we added that to my service. It didn't take more than 2 hours for all this and I got my new tags later that day! Thank you.

I left the shop and my seat was not only moved they broke my handle on my seat and said nothing about it I’m assuming they didn’t know what the handle was for and pulled back on it thinking it was to move my seat back and forward but that handle has a hydraulic to left my seat up and the handle to push the seat backward and forward was in front of my seat near the floor, I want my seat fixed by Midas, I have to wait until Monday to give them a call I’m upset, no one drive my car but me so I don’t haven’t to mess with that handle at all. When I try to position my car back the way I had it I realize I couldn’t because they stripped my handle on the side of my seat. They changed the station on my radio why would they mess with ur radio they want to listen to music they can have a radio in side the shop just ghetto
I honestly was surprised with the great customer service. They all were friendly. You don't get that very much anymore. While sitting there I observed their interactions with other customers as well. I had a wonderful experience with the way Midas staff treated me. I've been visiting this location for several years with my other car. My new car had a screw in the tire right before the Christmas holiday and I needed it patched before leaving town. I forgot Midas did tires so I tried two tire places and was treated poorly with "can't help you...too busy." Called Midas and they said they would help me. Originally, I had an appointment at another location, but they were unable to fulfill my request due to a shortage of personnel. I called this location and spoke to Andre.Came in for oil change and a new Muffler. Cory and Andre were extremely professional and had great customer service. Cory explained the services and pricing. Don't hustle the customers. Give the best price and don't ask how much did you expect to pay. Midas prices are just too expensive for me to return ever. I had an inspection and emission done and failed the inspection, but didn't return to have it redone after I found better price for the same service that failed, though I'd paid the inspection already. It was easier to pay again with another business than to deal with Midas.
The woman who works the check out counter was absolutely amazing! She was beyond helpful and very pleasant to talk to. You should praise her being the face of your business.

Then the person working on my van forgot to put my air filter back in my engine, causing me to have to come back again so they could replace the air filter The manager handled th situation but it was unnerving and an inconvenience to say the least. What else did they forget on my vehicle that I don't know about yet? Who knows?

I have been coming here for about almost 15 years. It has changed a lot for sure .I feel it took a long time for a problem that really was quite simple. Also, when I made a requested appointment online and the automated message said someone would contact me within 30 minutes, no one called til next business day. Also, I mentioned on the appointment online about my EPC warning light along with my other issues with brakes. The brake issues was addressed but the EPC issue was NEVER addressed or fix. The light still on when I got my car. I was willing to pay to have that checked out and depending on the cost and the problem, I was willing to have that fixed, but y'all completely ignored that problem that mentioned so that was money missed out on, so now I'll just take to the dealership for the issue, but other than that, although it took longer than expected, I'm glad my brake issued was resolved. Also, I feel at this point really y'all try to get more money out of people. I told the guy, the manager I think, that I just out new brake pads on 1 day before I came to Midas...he told me I would need to replace rotors and brakes although I just out new brake pads on less than 24 hours.

Teach mechanics how to do an oil change.
Been to many car shops e.g car x, frank leta etc for this brakes complain and they couldn't get it fixed. I was impressed when the mechanic found the problem and fixed it and it be a smooth ride all the way.
The experience both days was satisfactory for both our vehicles, one to get a wheel alignment, the other state inspection. We were advised on the issues and how to solve the issues.
I called for an appointment, and they were able to give me one SAME DAY! Extremely friendly staff. The manager actually cares and definitely shows it.

The moment I came in the store, I was greeted with a smile. Told how long it would be before my vehicle could be looked at and an estimate for finish. the work was finished much sooner than I expected and I was able to go to the next location to receive my tags for my vehicle. Just the price of the service was my main complaint I will probally not come back or will look for other services for a better price. Had some complaints about how my vehicle was left car was left over a parking lot bumb had to scrape my bumper to pull the car off of it. The trash left in my vehicle the floor mats they used was left inside mu vehicle amd they wrote the wrong mileage of my vehicle on the oil slip on my windshield

The level of detail when communicating the issue with my exhaust (catalytic converter) and showing me how rusted out the old one was was very helpful. Pricing was effectively communicated and the associate I was working with offered to take a look at my side view mirror that I explained needed to be fixed as well, which ultimately led me to schedule a separate appointment for that part fix.

I've asked for specific work order beyond oil change, but that was nor looked into. Asked them if they'd checked my tire air pressure, they said they did but once I left I had a friend check it and the airs were low and the light was said it'll turn off once I start driving which didn't once u filled it up myself
I had a tire with a slow leak, they couldn't find it but it was still on my bill when I came back. Only when the tech came in and explained to the clerk that it wasn't fixed was the charge taken off. Lack of communication on their part.
