Asked for an assessment of my loud exhaust, was told it needed to be replaced, 2100$. When I asked if they removed the heat shield to actually look at where the issue is the employee was surprised I knew what a heat shield was. The problem is clearly under the heat shield and I believe could be repaired but “Midas MUFFLER” wants to replace it without even attempting a fix!

We brought our vehicle in last Friday Aug. 25th for a break inspection. After the inspection we got a call that the brake pads, rotors and one caliper needed to be replaced. We agreed upon the estimate (1410.44). We picked up our car and hear a noice instantly. I drove back to Midas and told them but they did not find the issue. So we drove home and my husband checked on it a few days later after the noise was still not gone. The caliper was completely loose and it was a safety hazard... Today the car was being towed and brought back to Midas. They will repair it again and also a transmission oil cooler line will be replaced today. I asked them for compensation and would have expected that they reimburse me for the cost of the labour for the transmission cooler line. But Derek declined and said that they won't do any of this. We have been customers at Midas for the past 8 years or even longer and this will be the last job being done for us by Midas.

This experience, as previous, was smooth and efficient, like a well oiled machine. Yes, embrace the pun!

It would have been nice if I could have accessed a cheaper muffler. I found the same muffler that was quoted at 50% off from the same brand on a website but was told that they could not use it or install it unless they used their source, which was 50% more

My local Midas store/owner/employees were great. Seems to be a disconnect between coupons offered and coupons honoured. Also every oil change comes with a “fluid check” yet my transmission fluid check was set to be $51 because “it was a hard job”. If this is not an included service why advertise it. The employee I dealt with waived the price. But due to the challenge of using a coupon and the “charge” I will not go to Midas again.

I dropped my car off, and they assessed it. they gave me a text. I called them back and we were quickly able to determine that they were able to continue the service. It was just super easy for me and I got to go to work the whole day and not get interrupted. Was dropped off at the end of the day to pick up my car and it was done and finished. Everything was very professional

I moved out of Nelson to another town and there is no auto service where I live now that is as clean. organized and has the proper equipment like the Midas in Nelson B.C.2. I am going to use their services for any future maintenance that my car may require as they always deliver the same excellent car care so it is worth the drive to have the peace of mind I have when I bring my cat there for service.

I was greeted when I arrived, the special request I made was quickly assessed and agreed to, the estimate I was given as to pick-up time was accurate, the price was fair.

We have a new F150 and the Ford dealer really really wants us to bring it there. But we've been going to Brenda and her team at Midas for years and they're really excellent. They've taken care of our cars well and worked hard to keep costs reasonable.

Multiple problems have arisen since getting my car serviced at Midas - 1) new tires were fitted, one kept deflating as it was not fit correctly.2)

Maybe it’s something I’ve done wrong but the staff seem to get less friendly with every visit. The last few visits I felt the jobs were rushed and care wasn’t a priority with my vehicle when it came to cleanliness in the car, scratching rims and putting part’s back together properly when completed. I have found friendlier staff, diligent service and lower prices with integra.

It was easy to schedule my visit and make adjustments when I could not make the original date. Work was communicated in detail and there were no surprises when I paid the invoice.

I had a great experience at Midas in Nelson, after being recommended to them by a co-worker. I had to wait a few days to get the vehicle in but that was expected. Inspection was quick, and I was called with the results, recommendations and pricing. I had them go ahead with some brake work and they were able to complete it that same day. I had another shop in town look at my vehicle previously and they wanted to charge me $2,500 more to replace everything. Midas recommended just doing some servicing on some parts and replacing some parts. Saved me a bunch of money! I've already recommended them and will continue to take my vehicles here. Thanks!

The number of parts recommended to change were bit more. Rear wiper change was needed and I was provided good option.But other air filters change was recommended, which I was not sure. It sounded like urgent and hence I got that done too.
