My wife got her oil change in Cumming GA yesterday. We thought everything was okay. Today she left for work & there's a big oil leak on the driveway. I was ready to blame someone else. However, it is her car that is leaking oil. Oil all over my driveway. I'm assuming the oil filter or oil pan not was not installed correctly or is loose. She did not have a history of leaks. I've been going to this Midas for over 10 years & I've had about 6 different car serviced here over that time. I only like Jacob, the master mechanic there, to work on my cars only. He did not work on my wife's car. I know he may do other work instead of oil changes. But I always have him look over everything because I trust him with everything to do with my cars. Since my wife went this time and I was not there, I have no idea if Jacob looked over this car or not. I would like some compensation for this oil change because we have to drive down there again & we live 20 miles away. She may even have to leave work early tomorrow to get there before Midas closes. It is enough oil to be very concerned about it. I added over a 1/2 quart back into her engine because I feel she has lost at least that much in 1 day.
They are always prompt, courteous, professional and friendly. Scheduling the appointment on the website was easy and I received a quick confirmation.

Tire rotation not completed. It was supposed to be done and they confirmed it was done upon check out. They either outright lied or are incompetent— either way, very poor. How can they be trusted?
It was a shared experience of knowledge and recomendations even to the point of actually showing you the issues on the truck to be corrected in the near future with exhaust system repairs being next!
You're tech who worked on my car is a huge value to this location. He's been there for a few years. A handful of the guys have all been there for a few years. Those guys hold it down well

We needed a new battery replacement and the associates were very friendly and had the right battery to install. Advanced Auto could not install the battery due to the make and model of the vehicle. Midas was able to install the battery without issue. The install took less than 30 minutes.

At very short notice, the MIDAS team confirmed my appointment for the next morning. They have very skillful and experienced customer service and technicians and direct experience for my specific situation while offering possible improvement suggestions.
I have consistently used this Midas, and sent my kids here with their cars, since moving to the area in 2018. I have never experienced a mechanic at this location try to "scare tactic" me into having a service done. I was quoted $1,000+ for a brake job and told that I "shouldn't drive my car until I had it done...it was even a danger to drive home. I wouldn't be able to stop, I would cause the pistons to pierce through, etc." I reached out to my brother (a mechanical engineer that designs cars) and my father (also an engineer) and had them come inspect my car. They changed my brakes (I did not need new rotors and was at an appropriate level of wear on the pads, contrary to what the front desk said) and my parts were a total of $80. I do realize that labor would have factored in to the cost, but going from over $1,000 to $80 is a huge variance. There has been one other time where I haven't been very thrilled with the gentleman at the front desk, but the mechanics have always been stellar. I cannot even begin to describe the disappointment in my last visit; I can no longer trust this store and will not be returning with any of my cars.
Apt was rescheduled due to part not available and I had to reschedule and make 3 separate trips to the location to get the work done. They should have notified me before the 2nd trip. Nobody notified me that the parts were not avsilable before my appointment, which was on a Monday. My initial visit was on the Thursday before. There also was difficulty processing the $30 rebate and I had to present the coupon twice to finally get the rebate. On the positive side, the tech who actually did the work was fantastic- very helpful and made sure I was happy.

For oil change and brakes inspection took 2.5 hrs with prior appointment. People who walked in after me got their car serviced faster than me. Not happy with overall experience. I used to get my car serviced regularly at Midas since 2018, never experienced something like this. This is very first time and mostly last time. Only for inspection it took 2.5hrs and they don’t have the parts which will take 1 more hour and then actual work would have taken 1.5 hrs. Overall 5 hrs for brake service ?

Mechanics are great there. However, there was a new customer service person who was not very friendly and was untrained in my belief. He was kind of angry that I was trying to talk to the mechanics without going through him first. I tried to explain to him that I become to minus for over 7 years and this is normal for me to talk to the mechanics. But he didn't understand that I needed to speak to him first. He eventually apologized after speaking to the manager about the situation. However, he made me feel very small and undervalued for a simple little question I had about my vehicle.

Your counter person was a dud. He was not friendly and courteous. There was no thank you when I paid and he had a sour attitude. A friendly first impression would help your business. There was very little work activity visible when I was there. The phone rang many times and no one answered it.

I asked them to check a tire for a slow leak and they identified a tiny metal shard that caused the air leak and fixed the problem. All attendants are friendly and knowledgeable.

The tech explained what was going on with the alignment (frozen adjustment) and why it couldn't be completed. I wasn't charged. The lug nuts were removed (they were overly torqued) and the o2 sensor was replaced at a reasonable price and time.

The only reason I went to the store was because I’m in the insurance claims business and I saw an article about one of your franchisees providing a hurricane victim with repairs to someone who stole their catalytic converter. That type of humanity sold me for the entire corporation & all Franchisees.

The store manager and the associate who were helping me pay for services were both extremely patient and helpful while trying to obtain my Midas credit card information. The credit services team (Synchrony Bank) made the process extremely difficult, taking 30 minutes total for us to be able to process my payment using my Midas credit card. 1. Customers should be told a Discount Tire credit card & Midas credit card can be used interchangeably. BOTH credit cards are NOT necessary to have.2. Customer service representatives for credit services should be better apt at verifying/validating customers with given information to obtain their credit card info. 3. Customer service representatives for credit services should not tell Store Associates to use 'any expiration date later than this month' is NOT a valid expiration date to use if the customer's credit card is not present. 1 of 5 customer service representatives knew a valid expiration date to use.
This was my first attempt at using Midas for service, ever. At the initial drop-off of my first of two vehicles, the associate took a phone call about pricing services for a car not on-site over me standing at the counter ready to leave keys at my appointed time. After a long conversation with the caller, he finally got around to me and before my exit out the door, he said "three" times that they would call when they found something else wrong with my car... as if that expectation of finding extra work is standard practice for each customer at that facility. I'm 64, and this is not my first rodeo. As expected, no issues were found, and my overall experience was good.
Everything was fine, my car is still running properly almost a week after the work performed. The only thing that kinda shocked me was the cost of labor.
