I was charged $40 per spark plug. The exact same spark plugs can be bought at AutoZone for $12. I was also charged $125 for a diagnostic test of my engine light, which is outrageous considering it takes 5 minutes to check. I definitely feel like I was overcharged for the value I received.

Making sure that the changes that has to be made, will take care of the total problem including resetting any and everything that's needed and if it can't be I would have liked to have know this, I would have chosen the other option I had.

They have serviced this vehicle every time since it was new. I have been happy with the service and associates.I had a problem and they corrected it.

Even with a discount code applued my service was still higher due to charging extra for oil over the 5 quart limit (5.4qrts oil capacity) $13 charge for 0.4qrts is way more than what the product cost. Also, shop fees were added to the final bill and increased the total. Shouldn't these be included in the service fee!? Not cool to track on extra fees when advertised prices didn't mention that.

I came in for a brake inspection with spongy brakes. They inspected and said no hardware was broke and a bleed would fix the problem. Once I returned home the brakes were still spongy.

I called to schedule an appointment, asking at that time whether they would be able to install an OEM Mopar oil filter. I was assured by Cody that it would not be a problem. Upon arrival for my appointment, I again asked if they were able to get the OEM filter and he indicated they would. After not being able to perform the alignment (this was fine; I understand), I return home after 1.5 hours of waiting for the oil change, only to find that an STP oil filter was used, NOT the OEM that I was promised.

I booked my appointment for an oil change, but then my check engine light went on a few days before the appointment. Even though the place was busy, I was able to get my oil change and diagnostic for the check engine light on my car done in about an hour and a half. I appreciated the updated communication as the mechanics discovered what was going on with my car and the staff's speedy help in getting the part I needed for my car.

I needed the job done on short notice before taking a trip, I was able to get in the next morning. The truck rides great now!

My vehicle had previously had work else where and I was experiencing the "death wobble" your staff took extra time to check and double check all the steering parts. Very patient with a very nosey, ridiculous, nervous person, "me" assured me the problem had been corrected and safe to drive. 9 hours driving the following day, not a wobble or anything to be concerned about.Extremely happy! We recently moved our daughter to Manhattan, KS from Chicago and her car had a rattle along the way. The staff identified it as a loose heat shield and fixed it in 15 minutes! I did not catch the name of my tech (he was a bald white guy), but he was constantly communicating with me throughout his entire service. He kept me in the know-how of what was going on, what he saw, recommendations on various things that he saw, and he maintained a high level of professionalism during my service. Definitely not the type of service I’m used to when getting something looked at, so kudos to him.

I went in for an oil change and got synthetic. I also asked for them to replace the passenger interior air filter. The charge was over $170, so they applied a $20 discount. No oil change/filter change should cost that much. Competitors are half the cost. Additionally, I just had over $3000 worth of work done on my car by Toyota dealership and was told that I had a needed more work on parts of the car that were just repaired. I believe the store locate was taking advantage of me because I am a female. I will not return to the location and will entrust the care of my vehicle to stores that will communicate transparently and not try to get me to spend more money that what services are actually worth. Will not recommend the Manhattan, KS location--unexcuseable.

I called Midas the day prior to ask about how much a service would cost me in total for my vehicle and based off of that pricing I decided to bring it in to have it serviced. The end price ended up being over $200 more than what I was expecting to pay based on my call the day prior. I understand that there was one other service that I had to pay for being the diagnostic testing but that would've still brought the total to more than $150 different. I don't understand why they wouldn't try to communicate honest pricing over the phone if they intended to deceive me the next day when I brought the vehicle in for maintenance.

Overall, I was very pleased with all of the services that were performed in a timely manner. I also appreciated the communication about what was wrong with my vehicle but I would have appreciated a more clear description about the total cost of each pricing option. I was given the labor and part cost but it would have been nice if the total cost would have been mentioned as well after I had selected my option. I also incurred a shop fee that I would appreciate being explained in more detail because I already feel like I paid a lot in labor costs for my service and paid the upper end of the inspection fees. I know that it's typical for auto shops to over charge for parts but I was charged $300 more than the part cost online which seemed a bit excessive. I get that everybody has to make money but that seemed like a bit much to me. I enjoy going to Midas for oil changes and simpler fixes but I may choose somewhere else or at least weigh my options the next time my vehicle needs a major service done or a problem diagnosed. Again I was happy with everything done but I feel like I was gouged more than necessary on the pricing and the clarity of the pricing.

I was shocked when the Midas rep told me my bill was $77.78 for a blinker light bulb install. I knew the bulb was the problem when I called in. I was told the bulb could be $25. I was pleased Midas could get me in on short notice. This store has always taken care of me. But, the price left me thinking this bill was way to high for what was done.As an older person on a limited income, I actually thought it would have been ok to drive with no light change.

Made an appointment online, oil change and tire rotation, said front right tire was leaking air. They stripped my oil plug, so i had to buy a new oil pan. Next morning i got to my car, tire pressure was low. They did not rotate my tires as it was the one that was low to begin with... And they did not fix my tire. So I was charged 850$ for an oil change... as none of the other things I requested happened.

1st off listening to the customer would be a great thing I asked for my front driver tired to be rotated to my back passenger passenger add the passenger to the front driver They tried to rotate all my tires and then Wanted to charge me almost a 150 bucks because I had 3 Stripped log in nuts. Then after I left and got ready to go home which I lived 2 hours from this mitus I had to stop and tighten every one of my lug nuts because they were all loose

Thought I had an issue with my brakes, when the Midas crew checked it out, there was nothing wrong. They gave me my truck back at no charge. I highly recommend this store to anyone.

The mechanic forgot to put oil in my vehicle, causing a check engine light, and forgot to put my oil cap back on. Then proceeded to drive my vehicle with no oil into the parking lot. When I started it the vehicle engine had issues and a warning to immediately turn off the engine came on. I don’t understand how he could have driven it and this not be apparent. The mechanic smelled like he had just been smoking weed when the desk clerk brought the problem to his attention.

Easy scheduling, they fit. me in the th end of the day. Prompt service and they HD too run and get a part. In by 430 and out before. 6. I got an alignment and had to have a camber bolt put in.

The guys were very professional and fast. They tell you exactly what you need to have done and don't try to upsell things you don't need. The process of scheduling, information given, and worked into my car with the information for the added things that needed to be done, we’re very pleasant and everything was explained thoroughly.

I stopped by and made the appointment for the next day. The next day i arrived a little early but the management took my GMC Envoy in right away and changed the oil and rotated the tires which i had purchased previously from them. I was given statements on condition of my vehicle and recommendations for future service. I believe I was in and out within 30 to 40 minutes. Jason, the manager of this location is the entire reason I will never step foot in a Midas ever again. He has the worst bedside manner and when things aren’t going his way, he becomes incredibly rude and puts blame on the customers. I have used this midas for 5 years and he is always extremely unpleasant with his tone of voice. My blinker needed to be replaced. although other shop don’t charge for a replacement, I agreed to pay $20 but never had it replaced. I wasn’t charged for it though.

I was concerned that I was going to need to replace the entire exhaust system at a price of around $2000. I was pleasantly surprised that they repaired at a cost of only $165 and minimal cost.

Make sure that quoted price is what you are charging. Not, told one price and then when it comes to pay the price is higher than what was said.

I couldn't trust my last person who worked on my jeep. They didn't keep anything from me. They old me the price and the problem and asked me if it was okay to qork on it. I was happy They talk to me before they replaced something.

I was able to check in quickly and the wait was not as long as I thought it would be, which is great! The service was fast, which is important to me. They explained items they found pretty well.

I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. We agreed on a price that included the coupon you provided. When I came to get my vehicle they had me pay $50 more than what we agreed on. So an improvement be true on your word and don't try and sneak in hidden fees

The technician who did not tighten the lugs on my vehicle, which I realized as I drove off, was not remorseful nor apologtic. He did not put my vehicle up to ensure the tire was completely on. He just tightened it on the ground. It was obvious the tire was not entirely on the wheel.

I had my car serviced in may. I spent $800 on a handful of items. Three weeks later (having said they performed an engine check but didn’t “charge me for it” according to my phone call with Brian last week and I had to fork up another $500 for another issue. From Wednesday to Saturday my car was fine still making a horrible noise after the water housing outlet was replaced and my car overheated AGAIN. Had to call someone else to fix the problem because they’re not open and I’m furious as the part that was broken is part of this housing outlet they “replaced”. I’m 7.5 months pregnant and it’s not okay to be breaking things while repairing my car or not checking afterward everything was good to go. Performing an engine check but not sharing any of that information with me as I guarantee all these problems would have been shown if they actually had. I’m so angry I had to go somewhere else to actually get the $500 I spent relooked at after 3 days & spend another $50 to fix the issue not $500.

Be more transparent in your pricing. Don't try to scare people into more auto repairs than what's necessary or affordable. Don't send out misleading advertisements listing an oil change price that isn't actually available.

Do what you say you're going to do.My car was owned by a drug dealer, be purchased it new in 2011...he got busted in 2014. After about 1.5 years the Feds decided to use it as a car to make fake drug deals with...and in doing so added 12 hidden cameras to the vehicle. It was state of the art and it's recording device is hidden in the trunk area.The Feds used it for 3 years and then it was sold at auction like the Feds do with a lot of stuff they've seized. Now I don't if the cameras were supposed to be left in but they were...and I use them all of the time because they're still ahead of their time, even today.Whenever I drop off my vehicle to be serviced I leave the cameras on. I was told they would do a full inspection when none of this happened. They simply changed my oil, apparently lost a washer or nut along the way...did not replace it. (Amazing)

I was so happy and very surprised no charge for a diagnostic. Everyplace I have went they want $75 to $100 for a diagnostic's. Very pleased, and got a print out of all repairs and issues.

Experienced Technicians and great customer service

Glove box was removed to inspect cab filter and when i picked my car up glove box was on the floor board. When trying to put it back where is belongs, it doesnt fit like it should. At all.

I have been using the same Midas location for years. I return because they do a good job and feel like it is my best deal. They usually try to "upsale me" but answer my questions about how important is it and accept my response if I decline the upgrade service without pressuring me. Like the guys and know me by name and I know them.

I always have a good experience there. Their service is consistent, the employees are reliable and knowledgeable and communicate things well... And when they fix my car, I know it's fixed. I am also confident that if my car wasn't fixed after being serviced there, they would do everything they could to make it right.

Was told I needed 4 new tires and over $2,000 of work. My tires are not even a year old so took my car somewhere else and was told the compete opposite. I don’t appreciate being lied to.

The quality of the staff's attitudes and service were both below reasonable expectation. This service took place right as COVID-19 began to impact the United States. I'm going to reserve judgement and return again in the weeks to come for some scheduled maintenance beyond an oil change. Alignment, tire rotation, and brake inspection were done well. I'm very satisfied with the outcome of my alignment.I'll be back soon for a rotor swap and pad replacements.There could be some better polish in communication between the office and the shop. I noticed the ball was dropped on communicating my desire for the brake inspection and tire rotation to the service tech. That added confusion to the service tech. I prefer my techs to feel more competent and cared for by the office.
