I have moved to Coquitlam now, but still keep coming back to Midas Burnaby (Hastings street location) due to Bav's and Amer's excellent customer service.Before coming to Midas, I had obtained quite a few quotes regarding the front brake pads and rotors replacement. I found the price to be quite high as compared to other auto shops in the area. If there was a possibility to get a better $ value from Midas, it would bump up my rating from Satisfied to highly satisfied.

They fitted me in at very short notice on a Monday morning. They were very accommodating. The muffler on my Nissan Versa was broken and the car was making a very loud noise, which was very stressful. I was not provided the appropriate information based on the inspection nor did they do everything they said they would. I have plans of travelling and the news they provided had me very concerned about my trip. After seeking a second opinion I discovered the information they provided was incorrect. I spoke up about my concerns at mechanic shops and necessary things I wished to have checked. Left that location unhappy and never going back.

They fixed a punctured tire and then explained, which was very interesting, that tired can only be patched 3 times before they were not safe. The techs and management are always friendly and helpful and explain things in detail to their customers. The pricing is fair and they are honest about time spent working on vehicles and how much they charge you unlike other places where they charge you a flat rate by the book for labour and usually will round up a 20-30 minute job to the hour. Over here at Midas they charge you by what they work on and don’t bother inflating the price for their customers.

The muffler was too expensive. I asked my mechanic the next day and he said $450 for a muffler is very pricey. I was very satisfied with the rest of my experience. The 2 men working at the front desk were great. They were honest and did the job I asked them to do

I booked the appointment online and the site was easy to use. It allowed comments, which was perfect as I had questions. I also indicated I was available if there was an earlier time than indicated. Literally within less than one minute after I submitted, I had a call from an associate. I was able to drop the car off right away. From there, the associate - Bab? - was great. He gave me timelines for when I would hear back, then provided updates and again, let me know how long the servicing would take. Once completed, they gave me an overall picture of what was done and why. I returned this morning to have the tires torqued (as instructed) and again, the service was excellent. Quick, friendly and professional.

first the technician tries to start my diesel without waiting for the glowplugs and then the retards overfill by about 2 quarts ... never going there again.
