There was confusion during the repairs that required me to come back several times to get the help with passing emission. I had tried 4 waivers with the Illinois Air team for getting my car fixed and this time I am going back for the 4th time to the emission's place hoping the work that was completed and if not it will require a 5th visit to Midas to get more information filled out on a repair data sheet to see if I can do a 5th wavier. All this running around is costing allot of time to just get my vehicle to past emission and then I could get my sticker renewed.

I was told I need a 6000 dollar transmission and tork converter when it was the ECM that was bad. A new ECM they had just installed.

When I made my appointment, I asked for a coolant flush. I thought you had a machine that reverse flows a cleaning solution. I should have asked more questions.Draining the antifreeze and filling it was more than I could do myself. I no longer have a "working" garage to maintain my vehicles. My preferred mechanic in Hampshire did not have the flush equipment, but a simple drain and fill he would have done at half the cost. I still trust Midas and have used your muffler services many times through the years.

I made an appt online. I dropped off the car the night before and was welcomed by Dan at the front desk. He explained the process and said he would call me in the morning after the inspection. I received a call before my scheduled appt time and everything was completed same day without any issues.

Dan was very friendly and efficient, the technicians were very quick in spite of the severe high temperatures and humidity, and I really appreciate the service I get at this Midas location--it has me coming back again and again.

The management was very helpful and polite. My only issue was a faulty muffler was installed on my car and I feel that it could have been avoided. The inconvenience of having to bring my vehicle back again to replace a faulty part, was not very customer friendly. I understand the shop is very busy and that the workers are doing their best, but installing a faulty part is something I feel should be preventable. I do appreciate accommodating me as soon as possible to have the issue resolved though, so thank you.
