First, I walked into the store. I was told that I don’t have an appointment although I confirmed appointment the day before I was charged for one hour labor for almost $270. I asked to have my brake fluid to be checked and I was never checked, I was charged $200 for parts and they were very cheap parts from advanced auto parts I was talking to the person in the front desk, he was barely being attention to what I’m saying I felt insulted and disrespected. They all want to leave at 5 o’clock. They don’t wait for the customers to have their service after hours, and I found that they pushed my appointment to the next day without even telling me at the beginning didn’t find me in the system and they charge me for the brake pads. I felt like the Over all service was unprofessional and I don’t think it’s worse for me to pay $500 to just have my break done and my this again that price is close to the dealers price. I will share my story on the social media and friends, and I will never go back to the store again!

I had an emergency called up on a Saturday and they took me right in looked up my car right away. They were able to explain the situation to me made me feel extremely comfortable. Pricing was honest and fair. The management at this Rockaway, New Jersey location is amazing.

First of all, I waited two hours for an oil change they did not have the correct oil filter. They called the police did not bring the right one granted, the receptionist or the girl did go get it, but I waited two hours. During that time three people called complaining about lights on and issues they were having with their car. The next day after the oil change and tire rotation, my tires were all messed up and my check engine lights on. I go back Ken I guess he’s a manager or whatever talk to me like I was garbage disrespectful telling me it’s not their fault it’s a recommendation on my car. I called the dealership and he tells me exactly what Ken was going to tell me and he did my husband called corporate. We were waiting for a phone call never received. I’m taking my car to the dealer I have to pay $200 for the diagnostic and to get it fixed and I am submitting it to corporate and the Rockaway location. I already have a lawyer because I have a lawyer but I will be making sure they pay for it, and I blasted them all through the neighborhood .

I had an electrical problem; the battery and alternator needed replacement. A transmission leak was also found. These were repaired in a reasonable amount of time, though I did have to wait for parts.
Although my car needed exhaust pipes from the engine all the way back, there were no aftermarket parts available and My Midas had to order it through the dealer, which was on backorder 2 to 3 weeks, Manager Brian let me know they were in and I could come in next day at noon, he and coworker Eric immediately set to work removing old and installing new dual exhaust system, while I went across street to grab lunch, while I recognize the price was high, I already know it would have been much more if I had the work done by the dealer. When I arrived they brought my car for a test drive after I explained what my needs were. Upon return they did a thorough inspection of the entire vehicle. I did not think an oil change/inspection would take over an hour. But they did take me without an appointment which was very nice of them.
Midas would not resurface the rotors on my brakes. The rotors were fine; Midas just doesn't resurface rotors, so the price quoted included $360 for replacement rotors that I didn't need. That is unacceptable.

I brought my older car in for an exhaust leak issue and i thought for sure that i was going to need an entire new exhaust. The technician was able to determine that the catalytic converter flange bolts were loose from an earlier repair, "probably by me", and he tightened them up and i was good to go. while i was there i had some regular maintenance done and i got my daughters car back the same day! Fast friendly service and i appreciated the fact that i was not sold an exhaust system that i didn't need. Honest quality work is hard to find and the team at Midas certainly deserves high marks in that regard.

I walked in on a Saturday morning without an appointment but the were still able to diagnose the problem, get the parts and basically do a custom fitting and install job on the resonator pipe and put 4 new tires on my car in 3 hours! I was blown away! They're now my go-to place for car maintenance.

Just the pricing of the service is a bit excessive considering what was done. The service rep I spoke to was friendly, and even offered some of the pizza they had for lunch. But the service could have been less than $200 in my opinion.

Not only did he save me $1,200 ($2,000 quote vs. $3,200) compared to what the dealership mechanic wanted to charge me, he over delivered by including replacing the back brake pads and rotors on my vehicle (for the same price). I couldn't believe the value. Also, his shop guy picked me up in the vehicle at our home (about 2 miles away) and shuttled me back to the shop so I didn't have to arrange for someone to take me. I came in for an oil change with a coupon from the web, 24.99. When checking in my car I hand over the coupon and the cashier tells me it's 39.99. When I question it I'm told I need an additive because of the mileage on my car and the oil filter was not included in the price of the oil change. Additional fees should be understood before the vehicle is brought in the coupon should list anything that would not be considered part of the service
I was quoted $3000 work on my car which is just worth $7000 now. I went to my dealer and he did none of those are immediate concern . Saved me a ton to not trust Midas , not likely to com back . You guys really lack transparency

This is the third and final time I’m ever going to this midas, I still have all my receipts of my oil changes and it went up way to much for no reason, you can’t tell someone the price before they go in and then slap on and extra $70 to the price when there car is all ready in the bay and lifted.

My appointment was at 8am, and they knew I would be waiting. I was checked in exactly on time by Andrew, but I soon learned that there were no techs available to do the work. That was concerning to me... how long was I going to have to wait for them? And why did they schedule the appt. at that early hour if the techs were not also available at that time? Andrew apologized, but it was clear that he was expecting only one tech that day, and that person was "stuck in traffic" -- this was probably around 8:30. He also made another call to try to find another tech. Eventually one man showed up and my vehicle was taken into the bay. About 45 minutes later I was checked out and on my way home. My total time spent waiting for a routine oil change was about 2 3/4 hours. Andrew was apologetic throughout, but I couldn't help wondering why an 8am appt. was set up if they were having difficulty actually getting techs to work at that early hour.

Everyone was very friendly. I went to Midas-Rockaway for a break job. I left my car at Midas and they took me home and picked me up when the car was ready. They inspected my car and told me what maintenance I would need soon and other repairs that could wait until later. I know that an honest repair shop is kind of an oxymoron but this shop was awesome.
