As usual Midas came through with polite, quick and reasonably priced work. I was pleased. Thank you. The time before this visit, the problem was quickly diagnosed and fixed - for no charge. Thanks guys, you are my "go to place" for car problems, which means a lot to me as a senior on a small pension only.

Straight to the point in diagnosing the problem and able to complete the work within a couple hours. Only had half the work recommended done but even then the car starts beautifully and the work certainly extended the life of the car. The remainder work I'll do myself (to save on labour) however just knowing what the problem is more definitively rather than troubleshooting at ghosts or not knowing the extent of how serious or not the problem was/is.

Winter tires installation
I had my winter tires installed and they did the job quickly on a snowy day (I had made an appointment the week before) when it was extremely busy with customers coming in and wanting their winter tires installed right away.

Midas Yonge Street in Barrie Saved our Vacation !!!
We have a small 1989 Chevy Camper van (22 feet) and we were headed down south when our brakes locked up on the 400 between Parry Sound and Barrie. It was a busy Saturday at Midas but Brian kindly promised he could look at it sometime in the afternoon. There was a fantastic clean waiting area with warm drinks and they even welcomed our three husky shepherds in and pointed out where we could get food in the neighbourhoood. They were able to look at the brakes and since it needed parts and troubleshooting the repair would take some time. Incredibly they loaned us a van and solved the problem calmly, efficiently, and methodically all while keeping us in the loop. They even called us later to checkup on how vehicle was running. We were very impressed with the service we received and would definitely recommend Barrie Yonge St. Midas. We live in Sudbury and we are planning to travel to this location in future to get our van checkups. Thanks to Midas we were able to make it to Wasaga Beach, Earle Rowe, Bracebridge, and Manitoulin Island. Thanks a million, you were as good as Gold :-)

Engine Failure
The mechanics at this location have been working diligently to complete the repairs on my vehicle. The damage was caused by a design failure in the engine which GM is aware of but is not accepting responsibility for. They have kept me aware of the progress every step of the way.

I took my vehicle into Midas for the first time for service. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to get my vehicle repaired and back to me by day's end. Parts for my vehicle were out of stock at the local supplier so additional phone calls were made to find the parts and get me on my way. I also appreciated the ride home when I dropped the car off. The young man that drove me home was very polite and professional. Great experience.
