I went in for an inspection of my brakes because they have been squeaking a lot more than usual. The staff were great and covered all bases regarding my visit. They checked and there was nothing wrong with my car but my visit was great. This is my home Midas.

SPOKE WITH RAY THE DAY BEFORE WHEN SETTING THE APPOINTMENT. ALSO SPOKE WITH RAY THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT. HE ASSURED ME THAT THERE WAS NO FEE TO BE PAID AS IT WAS A FREE BRAKE INSPECTION. EVEN WHEN SIGNING THE PAPER HE SAID ITS GOING TO SHOW A $59.99 CHARGE BUT ITS ACTUALLY FREE IT JUST SHOWS UP THERE. WHEN HE WAS SHOWING ME MY BRAKES HE EXPLAINED IT WAS GOING TO BE OVER $600 FOR THE SERVICE. EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE RUNNING A SPECIAL FOR $250. WHEN I SAID THAT I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN HE STARTED TO SAY THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE $59.99 INSPECTION FEE. I ADVISED HIM THAT I WAS TOLD BY HIM MULITPLE TIMES THAT IT WAS A FREE INSPECTION AND IT SAYS ON THE WEBSITE. HE TRIED TO CLAIM THAT THE NEW OWNERS TOOK OVER THE STORE THAT SAME MORNING AND IMPLETMENTED THE NEW PRICES. SORRY BUT YOU VERBALLY TOLD ME IT WAS FREE AND THAT IS LEGAL AND LAW BIDING CONTRACT.

I had a full brake service done 4 months ago, and returned because they are squeaking and sound awful. I was told that brakes aren't silent, which was rude, I know they aren't silent but the noise I am hearing is similar to the sound they made before I spent 900 on new everthing; drums, pads and rotors. This isn't right. So he says he cleaned and oiled them and they sound fine. I drive to work the following Monday and they sound exactly the same, like metal on metal. I am worried about damage at this point.
I took my car to another place for a coolant leak and their estimate was $1300 to fix the leak and all the other “immediate” needs they racked up. I took it to Midas and they fixed the only actual problem for less than $600. Thank you so much!

Went in for oil change. Several other major issues were found during pre-oil change inspection. The counter service man was customer friendly and concerned more about my safety while driving vehicle than making a sale. We not only did the oil change, but my budget allowed me to fix the most potentially dangerous thing, and l then was provided with a list of other things in the order they needed to be handled! I was also impressed how often he notified me on the progress as they worked on my vehicle! I utilized Midas for my car service needs in Chicago before retiring to California. Will be continuing to use them moving forward!

You guys tried to tell me that I needed to spend $2k in repairs most of which were bogus I found out after having my car checked by a mechanic and you took my filters out to try to get me to see how dirty they were in order to get me to pay you double the cost of what they'd be at autozone and then when I declined for you to do it your mechanic didn't even put them back in in correctly so my car made a loud noise until my Dad put a new one in for me & showed me what your guys did wrong. Provide an invoice of part/parts purchased. I was charged 400+ for a part from where the associate said was Moog, checked the moog website and the same part was 100 on there.
Was satisfied with service, communication, options. Just not satisfied with the price I paid for the services, could have looked elsewhere to get the work done cheaper but since I was already there I figured the might as well. For one rotor it was 197, quick look online for a pair of rotors was just a little over 200. So to justify the same price but for one seems like a stretch but my fault because I didn't do it myself. Tierods and bearings are out of my skill level and without the tools needed I would rather have midas do that work so I'm satisfied with that. All in all I paid about 1500 for parts.... which realistically should have been considerably far less, I didn't feel good about paying that much for the parts. The 1000 in labor I felt good with paying because those guys jumped on it right away and banged it out real quick, I was probably there for 4 hours max. I also got some tires which were an additional 800, good price, good tires. Other than the super markup on parts it was a good experience. If I recommend anyone to midas it would be for an oil change, brake pads, or an alignment.Thank you guys at midas on Blackstone, great people that work there.

Improve customer service. Be able to explain the work that was being done on the car. Describe what improvements were made. Complete work in a professional manner, not being on phones taking personal calls while completing work, and order the pizza when it’s your own time; not mine.
If you email coupons with the address of that Midas they need to honor the price on the coupon.

Always opens a little early and I am in and out with in an hour. Very quick and clean and chairs are comfy.
Kelly blue book for the area and repairs are half what you charge. The waiting room is very uncomfortable and nothing is provided to people waiting hours. Get new chairs at least with some complimentary like water at least. Check your prices as well. I saw 3 people walk out because of the expensive costs of your place.
Daniel was the admin with José the mechanic when I went in to the shop. There was practically no one else there. I kept interrupting Daniel for details about owning my kind of car–new to me. He never minded my questions and gave plenty of good advice.It lined up well because José also had experience with my vehicle (a later model). Besides performing the oil change, José had some very useful suggestions about why some of my oil might be disappearing.
I walked in without and appointment toward the end of the work day. They got me in and replaced my battery before closing time.
Make sure your employees are better trained, more honest and really willing to do the work they are there to do. Create a midas data base.
