The estimate was a massive inflation of the service needed. He estimated $800 for the job including rotors and a new caliper. Only after I told him I would do the job myself and was going to leave did he start being reasonable. Because I know cars, he conceded and the final bill for a basic job was $223. Why do that to a customer? I felt like I was being hustled and I know many people would have been taken by the up-sell job he did on me.

I feel I got what I paid for. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly. I felt that Brian was very honest, and that Gary knew his stuff.

Staff was courteous and thorough with explanations of work being done and results of their investigative inspections. I didn't drink it, but coffee in the waiting area was a nice touch.

Andrew who was working at the time kept me informed and in the loop about what was going on. This is my second time at this location and both times have been great and I always feel like they do a great job and make sure they give me the best deal on what I would need.

I was able to drop it off an hour after I made the appointment. It was finished the next day by 3PM. Much quicker then I expected!

Was in for service on April 14. Several things were addressed, including front brake pads and rotors. Yesterday I heard a grinding noise that sounded like a brake problem to me. I returned to Midas right away as a walk-in and they replaced the parts at nocharge. I was certainly satisfied.

The issue was quickly identified, the work was described, and the associated pricing provided. The timing of the job was given. I was provided an update while I was there and the job was completed within the timing provided.

The time to check the problem should be less, I was sitting there for almost two hours to get a diagnostic , and then I have to find a ride home because they did not have the parts needed and I will have to come back the next day , I was far from home .

I had a screw in my tire. I called they said I could come and that they had time. I showed up by noon and by 1245 I had a fixed tire and was on my way. They were kind, efficient, and provided great service.

I brought my truck in at 1 o’clock. was told it would take 45-60 minutes for the oil chance. Walked about a half a mile to get a workout in at the gym nearby, to kill time. This took about a 90 minutes, keep in mind I have not received a phone call from Midas during this period.keep in mind I have not received a phone call from Midas during this period. Stopped by a friends place and chatted for about 20 minutes before walking back to see if my truck was done which it wasn’t. I was told it had just been put on the rack and that the kid working on it came back late from lunch. So I sat there watching them do the oil change and noticed the kid working on my truck had not done anything for about 10 minutes. Turns out he went outback to take a smoke break before completing my oil change, overall the whole process took about three hours. I am a small business owner and could not get any work done sitting in the shop waiting for my oil to get done. I went there because I thought I would be in and out in about 45 minutes I understand that things happen, but it just seemed that too many things went wrong.

Gary was very transparent and helpful. He earned a loyal customer for life.

Friendly knowledgeable professionals who could explain my problem and what was needed. I brought my car in for an exhaust problem and they did a free safety check and told me my car was good. One thing I do want to mention about Midas, advertising and your surveys.I have gone to Midas over the years in OH before moving to KY and I only went to Midas when I had exhaust problems. At this location in KY they explained they do all types of car repairs except for rebuild of engines. I did not know this, I have been looking for a local mechanic and never considered Midas except for exhaust. One thing odd when I applied for you credit card and took some surveys exhaust work wasn't even an item to select, I had to use other. Get the message out, full service vehicle repair, 6 days, professional reliable service with a guarantee done quickly. My only negative is you are not open late at night for those of us that get off a 5 or later.

They forgot to tighten all the lights on the left front tire. When I got 50mph there was a clunking noise and vibration in the steering wheel. Had to pull over on highway. Upon looking at the r front tire found all lights loose. Had to tighten with a lug wrench on the side of the road. Had only driven 5 miles from shop. Upon calling store was told sometimes when cold they don't hold their torque. After work went back to have them re torque.

Staff was friendly and communicated when the job would get done. Only waited about 2 hours for service to be completed. Service was free since the tire was easily repaired.

I don’t remember the guys name that called me, but he’s an older gentleman with glasses who is very kind and made sure I had good service right before he left for the night. I’m a young female and I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all while being there by myself. They also didn’t try to charge me anything extra or push extra products on me either which I really appreciate. I took my truck to Smith muffler to have donut gaskets replaced on my truck and they told me I needed a new exhaust that I had broken bolts and my exhaust manifolds was rusted and needed replaced that it would be $2500.00 to $3000.00 to get it fixed. I took it to Midas in Newport and explained everything to Gary and left it with him. He got it in quick and called me with 2 prices. 1 price was if everything went smooth and the other was for if bolts broke. I told him to go ahead and fix it. On top of that, he was very honest and said there wasn't any broken bolts like Smith said and none of them broke while he was fixing it. They had it done with in a couple hours and the price was very affordable.

Oil change went from 19.95 to 35.95 in a year and a half.

Dropped car off to get fixed. 2 hours to complete. Called to see if they had completed task. Did not call to let me know that car had more problems than they could repair at the time. Had to call to find out myself. Will not go back to place to it again.

Tried to make me spend more money then needed. They did the oil change and lied and told me I needed new brakes. I took it to another mechanic he told me my brakes would last me another 7 months. I didn?t appreciate that at all

They changed the oil but did not rotate the tires as the advertised offer was for. Only after I pointed out that fact did they rotate the tires. Somewhat questionable antics.

They did an excellent job of installing front struts. Use to go to another repair shop for years. But Midas is my repair shop now.
