It was labour day weekend.My mechanic was away , i googled in search for similar, I seen Midas , I heard of them and seen them as I live SE Calgary, after I called my car was up on the ramp within 24 hours . The customer service I received was excellent, my car was off the ramp in a couple of hours, it needed a lot done , which I knew anyway, my 07 charger drives like almost new . Major kudos to the staff who took care of me at Midas on MacLeod trail .!!!!

The Lady at the reception desk was very helpful. She explained to me what the estimated cost of the job would be and how long it would take. I needed winter tires and searched the internet. I found Midas has a sale on tires that I was looking at. I was able to get an appointment fairly quick.
Upon finding out I needed additional service (corroded lug nuts) I specifically asked what the total cost would be including labour and shop supplies. The mechanic described how it would be $2.85 per lug nut. He chnaged 14, at a total cost of 265 with labour. that was not communicated before i gave the go ahead for the service, and when i questioned afterwards why this wasnt explained despite asking for a total cost, the said it should have been assumed. Not only do I think an inflated cost of $19 per lug nut is excessive in labour, but i feel lied to in the process. Will not be doing any other service at this location given this treatment, and will dissuade family or friends from going there as well.

I called to book and explained I had a coupon for service and what services i needed done. I was told to leave the cupon with the vehicle when dropping it off. I left it on the dash board. I called a 2nd time to advise of modifications to the service I initially requested and again mentioned the cupon. Both these were over looked. I was given the oil change credit 20 bucks on my next visit.

Power steering pump replacement. Time expected to complete-2-2 1/2 hours. Final completion 8hrs. Mechanic lacked either experience or knowledge to identify both the reasons for lengthy bleed of new fluid fill in addition to the faulty pump installed I was sent home with, only to return immediately to report fluid leaking and the faulty pump issue. Second pump installed with no issues. Clean up of initial fluid drained was very poor leaving it all over under carriage and suspension. Will not return for any issues more complex than this simple service work due to this experience.

Joe was awesome and the technician that found all the problems was polite. We went to find out what was wrong with the brakes. Joe explained what the technician discovered and we will return to remedy the issues once financially able.
Despite having a problem servicing my brakes due to an issue that I do not feel was their fault, Joe was incredibly friendly and made me feel much better about the noise I heard when I backed out of my driveway. They were quick to tell me what was going on and what they had found out. I will definitely be going back.

I would start saying the first contact over the phone was very friendly and helpful and then in store the person was very oriented. After an hour I got a report on my phone with all points they have checked out, it surprised me because they even took a pictures of all points they would recommend to review/fix. As soon I read their message I called them back and they explained all topics on their report and the prices. After a couple of hours I got a message saying my car was ready, I went there to pick up and they were very organized and professional. I left the store with a feeling I made the right choice coming to Midas. Thank you for taking care of my car.

The internet booking/quote system failed to meet expectations. I think this is a Midas problem that is not likely associated wtih this specific location. I clearly stated a fairly long list of requested service, but was only quoted for brakes. I had to call them direct and show up at the shop to get a detailed quote. This delayed the work by over a week, but the work was done promptly once everything was sorted out.

On this occassion , Dean was at the helm and provided all the clients his personal service. although my initial appointment was to address the Air Conditioning of the 2007 Honda , he was proactive in recommending the Battery replacemnet as well as the cold start of the vehicle result in not as responsive . Upon completion of service , the cold air from the A/C recharge and the new Battery provide us with a peace of mind during the hot days foreasted. The diagnosis of the air conditioning was beyond the capabilities of the service techs. Which resulted in taking apart the dash twice cracked the dash. Still didn’t fix the air conditioning. It ended up being a bad compressor which would of been an easy fix. Instead of a week in the shop and over $3000 dollars latter. The dash was also not fixed from the first removal attempt. In conclusion we brought the care in for an air conditioning recharge because it was slowly blowing less cold air over time. We ended up paying over $3000 and a cracked dash and not having the care for a week. We have had a lot of work done here but this was beyond their capabilities and we end up paying for it.

I thought I needed my brakes pads and roaters replaced and the could have did it and charged me $1000.00 but told me they were fine and did not need to be done yet. Cleaned them up and did a few other things they recommended. Honesty has ensured I will come back when my breaks need to be done.
Good service, reasonable price
After a brake job was completed the brakes did not function correctly. I was then quoted the price for a brake booster before proper troubleshooting had occurred. I spoke with a Mechanic friend who suggested they likley issue was a brake caliper which I relayed to MIDAS. It turns out my friend was correct and MIDAS did change the caliper and that fixed the issue. My problem is that I not spoken up I believe a very expensive brake booster replacement would have taken place and that would not have fixed the issue. Please troubleshoot before assuming the worse!

Staff are friendly and , very knowedgeable. They did a warrantee service check on my vehicle that is still under warrantee, and told when the next service is needed as well as placed a sticker on the windshield to remind me. They also advised me approximately when brakes will need service. The service was done very quickly and I received notification right away. On another visit, I witnessed a customer becoming very agitated and agressive to the manager. The manager remained calm, polite and very patient.
Noticed a yellow engine light warning the night prior to my oil change and tire swap appointment , shared this information with Roman and Joe . They were able to analyze the concern and recommended corrective measures. These are the individuals as consumers we like and trust. The service advisor was massively helpful. I actually brought my car to a shop closer to home as I am new to the area. And they quoted me a ridiculous price. After I got that I called here and Roman was more than helpful, I promptly picked my car up and took it there. They did all 4 pads and rotors very quickly and had me out the door same day at a price I expected.

The vehicle required an oil and filter change. It was inspected and found that the front brake pads were quite low and the routers were in need of change also. Once approval of the work was given the Venza was ready for pick-up in about 30 minutes.
