I don’t think you should be charging customers foran inspection fee if they don’t get thae work done at your shop.They did their inspection and to,d me things needed replacing when 2 other mechanics said that was not needed.In short I understand you need to make money like everyone else however they missed things on the inspection that should have been on there and in turn tried to charge me for work labour and products that me vehicle did not need.One last thing is he took it for a test drive and for some reason it took him 15 minutes to return with my vehicle.
I went there for an oil change at their discount with the coupon $79.99.why did they rotate my winter tires when I’m changing to summer tires very soon and charge $40 in labor. I didn’t ask them to check the brakes either. My invoice was $185.24

I would love to explain everything verbally. I am still dealing with this circus called Midas and am very upset at the service I was given. Midas needs to take responsibility for their lack of competency and damage caused from it. I received an oil change and inspection for less than I thought it would cost, as I received $20 off once I'd specified my f150 is v6 non-turbo. When completed I was told of other maintenance issues which I will need to tend to in the future and their costs.

The entire process was simple and straightforward. The service report clearly indicated the work that needed to be done, and other items that could wait for 'down the road.' Moira at the Sherwood Park Wye Road location was amazing, and the Operations Manager who was in the shop was fantastic as well.My only negative was when I pulled away, my car started shaking as I got up to highway speed, like my vehicle's tires weren't balanced. I brought it straight back and they immediately fixed the problem. They told me this is a problem that happens a lot, so I feel like the vehicle wasn't driven / tested after the repair properly as it felt very obvious what the issue was (some sort of lining on the brakes when they're newly installed). The problem was solved quickly, and the Operations Manager did some 'extra fixing' (though he didn't tell me what he fixed exactly) and I was on my way.
I go to Midas location in Sherwood Park all the way from Fort Saskatchewan as I know they have the best costumer service around. I enjoy their mannerism and professional tips they provide me every time I come in for an oil change.

I feel you technicians were rushed. I had to come back to have my oil topped up and the tech said “I filled to what the book told me” which makes me think he did not check the dip stick.Next day I had transmission fluid on my driveway. Drive in and was told the gasket bent on the drain plug. Take in less work to give techs time or hire more techs.
Moira was fantastic- the customer service was above par, not just for me but for the other 4 clients I saw pass through while I waited. My car was being difficult and we needed to try 4 different sized belts to get one to fit. It took much longer than anticipated and everyone remained in good spirits even though it was clearly frustrating. Moira called around to so many parts stores to try and get another size to try. My 20min job took 5.5 hours and everyone in the shop was so polite and communicated so well during the whole process. I will come here from now on for all my service requirements and so will my son and partner. I’ve literally never had a better experience.

My car needed a wheel alignment. Moira explained that after inspection I needed tie rods as well. She searched and found some and then searched again when I said it was out of budget. She was great in helping even though her shop was full and she had a million things on the go. She explained all the things I could get fixed and the things I needed for my tires and concerns I listed at drop off.

The car came in with noise from rear wheels. The advice was to service the front, rear and parking brakes. Not sure why the front n parking brakes were included. The on rim wheels were installed instead of the winter tyres.The vehicle was not checked for noise after the change.There is a noise from the rear wheels but of a different type. When asked the person on the phone mentioned he was not present for the service and he doesn't know about the test drive or the issue.

The oil that was needed for my truck was not in stock. The associate had some delivered right away which was great. However a 45 min oil change turned into 90min while we waited for the oil. I would expect that when my appointment is made, the associate would insure the accurate inventory for the vehicle.
The woman working the desk was EXTREMELY EFFICIENT and friendly. The service was swift and my car was left clean. The price was right, I will be back. HOWEVER, After I booked my appointment with the Sherwood Park Location, I received a text from the location at 7120 82 ave in edmonton about my appointment being there - was that location trying to poach my business? When you know there is an issue, such as a vehicle needing a wheel alignment, do not just say you'll try something else because you do not have time. If the job would have been done right at first, this would not have been an issue. Sending the vehicle out when you know you did not do what was needed is irresponsible.

I’m not a very car savvy person so the way everything was explained to me was perfect for my understanding.
I went in for an oil change I thought there was an oil leak at the drain plug. It should be noted my last oil change was at this location. It turned out to be a power steering high pressure hose leak. Which I was given a quote for a fix. But I also had pointed out to me:- Control arm bushings need replacing- Front brakes and rotors need replacing- Front struts need replacingAll this information for the price of an oil change. These guys are awesome, I would recommend them.
The only thing that went wrong was that when I got home I noticed my skid plate was hanging off. It was not properly placed back on my vehicle. I am glad I noticed it before it fell off completely.
The customer experience was excellent but the associates did not put my aftermarket wheel covers on correctly and I lost one on my drive home. Another motorist saw my wheel cover come off and stopped. I recovers the rim which was now scuffed but the retainer ring was missing. Moira (service associate) told me that Midas will replace the wheel cover. There was no time to take care of it on the day of the service but I will work with Moira on the replacement when I return from vacation. My feeling is the technicians were too rough with the wheel covers as they are only plastic. I will be satisfied when the wheel cover is replaced. I will remove the wheel covers prior to service next time. Regards, Brent
The mechanic left some Whitish cream-like substance on all the 4 wheels and some on the rim. Atleast he should have wiped it off as the rim came clean.

I didn't have an appointment but that wasn't a problem at all. They got me in right away and fixed the problem (power steering wasn't working) within 1.5 hours.
Completely satisfied as checked off in pervious pages. I was especially thankful that while I was still parked at the bay door after the oil change. The attendant came out to my vehicle and said that he had my bolts lock, and asked if I wanted him to put it in the trunk.

I appreciate that the service desk employee mentioned that there was less staff and they only had 1 machine to do a winter tire change but I had to ask that myself when I had been waiting 4 and a half hours for my car and wasn't even sure if I would get it back that day. I think it would be better to have more equipment or schedule less appointments on a holiday as the wait for my car inconvenienced me from doing other things I wanted to get done.

I told the auto technicians absolutely not to check any fluids or other mechanical issues as I just had it checked from the previous technicians same day and they just wasted my time and their time. I also mentioned I knew the issues that I needed to get done. Wheel alignment wasn't done perfectly. I mentioned to the secretary and auto technician absolutely not to touch anything else and they just don't listen and still went ahead and did what I absolutely said not to do. I didn't need the courteous check as I just had it done. I believe they should listen really carefully to the customer. My appointment was for 4 pm my vehicle didn't get in the shop until 4:30 pm and they said it would be done by 6 and I didn't get out of the shop until 6:45 pm. 1 angry customer here.

I must say I've brought my car to Midas for years,and recommended it to friends and relatives, the last two times I've brought it in they definitely didn't do all of the work they claimed on the printout you recieve after the work is done.

Initial reason for service still a problem after spending money
Appointment was from 9 to 11:00. I was told that it would take around an hour to do. when I returned at 11:00 a.m. they had not even started and then all of sudden they were done at 11:30? No communication and why would I be told it takes an hour and then does not even take half an hour? Why book the appointment for 9:00 if you are not even looking at my vehicle till 11:00 - sloppy and poor communication. You wonder if the oil change has been done properly as I realize all your check points you advertise could not have been done either!
