Replace rear tail light had a price given to me . When I arrived to pick up the car they said it was to low .I went parts store 3.99 for two bulbs replaced in 15 minutes.

I had a serious problem with my vehicle that was accurately diagnosed, well communicated to me and rectified in a timely fashion.
My truck was towed in mid week and the guys got it scheduled in almost right away and had it finished within the time they thought. Super guys!
Total brake work should last more than 20K Kilometers. Midas admitted that an error was made but only refunded the cost of some parts, not the labour. In the past, photos of the issues were provided. This time no photos - had to rely on the word of the desk associate. No warning of the change of procedure. In the past it was possible to only change the brake pads, now it seems that most of the brake system needs to be changed, which makes it very expensive, and makes a mockery of the pad replacement warranty - the pads are a minor cost of the total of the brake job. This last maintenance ended up costing me about 10% of the total cost of the Van when I purchased it new. Considering that I have had to do a second brake job after 20K kilometer, it now seems that I will need to pay in brake jobs what I paid for the Van in a very few years. Perhaps I will be better off trading in my Van next time I need a brake job.

Communicate if there is a problem, particularly when the problem will take addition time to repair, instead of the weak communication "oh someone was supposed to call you". Work took 4 1/2 days to complete rather than 1 1/2 days as expected. I understand problems arise, but poor communication drives business away.

I called as my Corolla was making an unusual noise, possibly exhaust I thought. I called on Monday, brought my car in on Wednesday morning. Within 2 hours they called to let me know it was a failing water pump. I asked if they could price the repair estimate using the Toyota part. Tristan was excellent, gave me the quote , and I okayed it to be repaired that same day! Unfortunately, the part they got was damaged and they had to bring another one out from Victoria which took a couple hours extra that was unplanned. Still, the repair was finished the next morning early and i was on my way. Super happy as if you have tried to book a repair anywhere in the last couple of years, you'd know the weights are generally from weeks to months at most of the dealerships. Awesome experience. They were obviously very busy, but still brought me in and did a fine job on the repair.

The service staff were exceptional and knowledgeable. They reviewed their recommendations and estimates with me, helping me understand the why's. Paul revised their estimate to better take in the age of the car and what was needed to keeping it running well and safely, while not spending too much, as you would with a newer car. Communication. If you know work will not be done at the time of the appointment don’t keep the car for a week. Could have easily asked if we wanted our car back to drive until you were ready to do the work you promised.

I am new to the area and found this location close by where I live. I was able to speak to 2 technicians after the service and they were very friendly and knowledgeable. They also brainstormed another solution to a reoccurring problem.The front office people I dealt with were both very knowledgeable and helpful.

Staff knowledgable I’m very friendly and I never feel like I’ve made too except a repair that was necessary. I went in for an oil change and they found a crack in my radiator and they complete radiator had to be replaced and then my transmission fluid had metal particles in it, which they advisory properly that I need to flush it. Otherwise I’d have a bigger problem down the line. Although I wasn’t expecting to spend as much as I did for the visit, I appreciate their care of my vehicle. As result I know my vehicle is lasting a good long life.

They took my car in the morning, diagnosed the brake problem, ordered parts, repaired the car & I picked it up by 4:30 pm on the same day. I was thrilled to have this fixed in one day!

We have been customers of this Midas location for over 20 years. They let us know what need to be done, and help us to determine how to complete the repairs in a timely and cost effective manner. They work very hard to keep us as customers. While I am sometimes a little surprised when they uncover an item that needs to be attended to, when I look into it a bit further I am thankful that they identified a issue before it became a real problem.

in most mechanic shops I feel as though they charge for services I don’t necessarily need. And prices are very high. Not the case with Midas. This experience was quite the opposite and the explanation of what was going on with my car made sense

He took my car in, looked it over, advised me and after we agreed on all points he put his team to work. They communicated as the work was underway. My car was ready on time. Vehicle runs great now. I was worried I would need a new one soon and now I can trust that this vehicle is reliable again. Trustworthy service, reliable car. Yes, I will be back to this Midas location when the time comes, but it'll be awhile, thanks to them.

1st - It cost us +- $500 (again) to exchange a radiator that was less than a year old.......that should be a cost to either the radiator supplier, or Midus.....not the client. We had another issue at a different service station with both rear wheel bearings, and they were replaced completely free of charge.....to us !!2nd - exchanging a radiator in a Mazda is a fairly standard job........why did we have to re-arrange out schedule and our lives, with no compensation from Midas, for them taking the 2 days for a 4 hour job. 3rd - I am Canadian, and this work was done at Canadian Midus, and yet only US citizens get an opportunity to win the apple watch. Why is it not available to Canadians???

I expected a simple battery change but it took all day to bring it up to full charge (didn't happen - only 40% charged). They finally replaced the battery but did confirm that it was not the alternator causing the inability to start my Jeep. Service people were especially helpful and I appreciated the extra work to confirm all was okay. Merry Christmas!
I realize my vehicle is "odd", but I thought the people at Midas would have sources to repair the problem. I told them on my arrival that the carburetor needed to be replaced, then I was charged for an extensive procedure to determine that the carburetor needed to be replaced. In the end, I had to source the carburetor myself, deliver it, and was charged for it's installation. The "diagnostic process" was more expensive than the replacement charges. Yes, I understand owning a "strange" vehicle has its drawbacks, but this was , in my opinion unwarranted. The vehicle in question is a 1992 Diahatsu pick-up, and the charges border on its' total value.
This visit cost me $203 for them to run tests that the Jiffy Lube had done for free. I also left Midas with fewer lights working than when I arrived. I pretty much flushed $203 down the toilet to get no answers and now I have to go to the dealership to get this same work done again since it will be covered under warranty. At no point when they were looking at my car did they say how long they were taking or how much the cost would be.
The associates were willing to discuss car related issues not related to this day’s actual service.

They accidentally over charged me which I wasn’t aware of . I had a call back five minutes later addressing the issue with options to fix it
I was satisfied with the labour charge to replace the tie rod ends but was not satisfied with the $159.88 charge to diagnose the problem as it was quite obvious what the problem was without connecting to a diagnostic machine.

It was just a really great experience buying my new tires. And because there is no pick or bring service they prepped my tires so all i had to wsit for was for them to switch my tires. Paul is VERY efficient and he knows his stuff.

While Midas accepted the vehicle without appointment and diagnosed he issues, $180 for 1.0 hrs? It wass dissapoitning tht they are unable to actually fix it. Perhaps some concession on the diagnosis? Seems this location in Brentwood is happier to work on luxary autos and anything over 10 years old is out. Office has turned to a dump since the lady lefty.
The inspection located the problem quickly and I was presented with a good solution in a timely manner. It took a bit of extra time for the parts to arrive but that was not the shop’s fault. The price was good and the quality of the repair appears to be very good so far. The warranty is excellent.
Half a century ago when I had my first car serviced, it would sometimes leave the garage with new trouble. That doesn't seem to happen with this Midas service.I greatly appreciate the updates about each important component.

The Service Advisor (Leanne) was very helpful and understood my time pressures. She went out of her way to have the car diagnosed and repair options presented, and ultimately the repairs completed. One step was missed and she “scrambled” to remedy the issue and was very solution oriented. She went out of her way to make sure the problems were addressed and my critical timeline was adhered to. I was very impressed and she should be complimented, by Management as I did when I was there.
Stop charging more then a dealershipStop double charging. Wheels removed for inspection but charged full price for TPMS replacement. Fully charged for a tire repair even though the wheel was already off and the tire was supposedly removed to replace the TPMS$865 to replace all TPMS sensors, oil change and inspection and a tire repair. $865!

I came in a week in advance and made an appt for my truck to be repaired. I dropped the truck off the day before, and the day of the appt it sat in the parking lot without being moved. The next day it was worked on, parts were ordered and work completed the following day.

Invoice said the tires were rotated but they were not. I numbered them before the visit and all the tires were in the same spots after pickup.
Pricing I thought was high. I was however very pleased with the effort to get us back on the road.
It was a last minute appointment on a long weekend and Paul made it all work for me as I had to get it done that weekend

That was great. My background was the hospitality industry for my career of 44 years. Very impressed.Later on I was informed that Paul is the new owner of this franchise. Very good.
While my invoice checks the cabin filter as bench checked. I assume this means cleaned with air or changed. This is my second visit where the cabin filter in my opinion is not checked. Not a huge deal for me if it is not but its should not be checked off if it is not checked.

in the last 2 years I have spent around 7000 at this locatin. when bringing in my truck I was told the starter alternator, baterry all fluids ect needed. got an estimate for 1900\told them to stop all work and \i will be in. \my son and had it started in 30 seconds apon arrival by jumping the selenoid,. paid for a new selenoid for approx 550 not gpnna use them on any of my company or personal trucks again. felt completely ripped off.

I thought I needed a new battery as I was advised to do so from the towing company that gave me a boost on Sunday. So, I made an appointment online and as promised Gary called me within the 30-minute guarantee of a return call on Monday morning.The tech did a diagnostic and concluded that my battery was still very good as was the starter and the alternator.I was more than happy to pay for the diagnostic and not a new battery. Initial oil change was marred by heat shield not being correctly reattached which lead the potential for serious damage to myself, spouse and vehicle. Thankfully, shield was correctly attached while enroute to the US. Franchise was contacted and a resolution was made to my satisfaction.

Do the service requested when I booked the appointment and not more. Don't put synthetic oil in an old car without first seeking approval from the owner.
Just under one year ago the same service, oil change & “complimentary” multi-point checkup cost $68…this time it cost $97. This is a huge increase (45%) in just under one year. The service advisors told me it was due to the huge increase in cost of oil products. In actual fact it was a combination of increases in both materials and labour costs. They never mentioned an increase in labour cost for the oil change.
Been with Midas for about 25 years and I have a good relationship with the personnel.
I asked for a "to replace my steering Box and end up with a $5000" to replace my entire front end I was not able to break the "down to just replace the front end

Had my brakes, calipers and roters replaced and had to bring the vehicle back multiple times for them to fix the vibrating brake clip. Unable to hear the problem until I showed them within 30 seconds of driving.
Final bill was within 14 cents of what I was quoted!

Oil change and tire pressure sensor replacement. Easy stuff, nothing reset in the computer. Did you even change the oil. After taking truck back had 2 young lads try and reset the tire sensor. No luck, talk was the computer is on the fritz. Had the lead mechanic tell me to change all the remaining sensors and that they don’t like to continually fix this issue. Brutally bad service and attitudes.
The location is close by and my truck was just being dropped off for an oil change. I walked home and waited for the call. Was surprised to get a text detailing the outcome of their inspection. That was nice.

As I had proof that I had called to go ahead to do the work, I was told they never got the go ahead so didn't do the work until the very end of the day when I came to pick up my car and wouldn't be ready until the next morning. I didn't feel I should pay for their mistake. The mechanic kindly stayed longer to finish so I could take my car home as I needed it to bring my daughter to an urgent appt the next morning

Well I asked what the price would be for front wiper blades and he said $20 something like that. After I paid for the bill and I drove off I noticed I was charged about $55 for the front wiper blades. I thought the $20 or whatever he initially said was for the pair so that was pretty shocking I told a friend of mine and he just couldn’t believe it

I found the associates cared about my vehicle. They tried to fixed the issue to avoid ordering a new part. Turns out the new part had to be ordered after all, but I appreciated the attempt to try to fix it before having to order the part.
I came in without an appointment. The battery light kept coming on, but I had a new battery. One of your workers came out to my car and checked the connections and cleaned them up on the spot with no charge. I wish I could remember the man's name. He told me to watch and see if the battery light came on again. It did. I made an appointment and dropped the car off. The car was fixed within 24 hours. Everyone was super. Thank you!
It was obvious the staff were not trying to inflate the cost of the service, and I felt I was treated very fairly.
I've always trusted this garage with my cars because above all they are honest and do not try to talk me into services or products I do not need. They are helpful, accessible, forthcoming and reliable, for which I as a single older woman am most grateful. No target on my back at Midas!!!
