You quote a price and then add shop supplies based on a percentage even if there were no shop supplies. In my case they only changed my tires from winter to summer that were already on rims. I feel this is just another money grab. Also all charges are broken down on the invoice with a cost except shop supplies which to me is just a blank cheque to charge a percentage that has nothing to do with the actual supplies that were used if there were any. At a shop rate of over $100 and hour I guess that is not just enough.

I had a catalytic converter stolen in Calgary and replaced in Calgary. It failed. Midas in Kelowna worked in concert with Calgary to have it replaced under warranty. Very satisfied with both franchises. I live near Kelowna and that saved me a 9 hour trip back to Calgary.👍

I told the person I booked the appointments with I had this offer and they said "yes I could use it".. after paying for the first one they gave me a $50 coupon off the next one...not a free one. they told me to read the fine print. there was no fine print on the email.

I brought my vehicle in for a flat tire repair. After the repair I was told my front and back brake pads were very low. I asked how much $ to do all pads and rotors and I was told 650$ But that it could be double that if calibres required. I then brought vehicle in next day for brake assessment then recited an estimate of approx 2600$. I was expecting that if calipers were required double the 650 … not 4 times that. I did not go forward with the repair based on the difference between what I was told and what was actually quoted. I assume that the issue was that the original verbal estimate was for front OR back but not both. The math works… The problem was I clearly asked how much for all pads and rotors front and back. You employee refused to recognize that this is what I asked and proceeded to tell me that this was my mistake and that her verbal estimate was accurate. Now I paid for the brake inspection and estimate but if I knew that this was going to cost I would have not wanted this service. I have a friend that does this kind of work but would have had you people do it at or close to the 1300$ I was expecting.
When I went elsewhere to have my wheel nuts re-torqued, two on the same wheel were found to be very loose.

When I arrived there were 2 available which was great but my wife went out of her way and booked time off work. Appointment was at 2pm expected to be done by 4 PM, was not ready until 4:35. An OBD scan is what I asked for and was charged $170 for inspection. Told the service person that I was unhappy with the charge and thought it was excessive for what I received. If I went ahead with the install of the one o2 sensor it was another $330 - parts and labour. Over $500 all in for 1 upstream front o2 sensor. An OBD scan takes a couple of minutes, I should not have been charged $170 for this. Pd the amount and left after I told attendant of my disapproval.
In order to inspect the air filter, Steve had to empty the glovebox content. He returned the car with some of the items from the glovebox left on the floor. I was hoping he would have been more careful, particularly after waiting 2 hours. Other than that, the experience was good. The lady at the desk is very friendly and offered some water.

My car died and I got it towed to Midas West Kelowna. I didnt have an appointment. I was pretty stressed out about it. I spoke with Angela who was extremely friendly and helpful. She said they would do a diagnostic first thing in the morning. Present time was 515pm. Talked to Brian the next day. They had called the dealership on my behalf about the problem. I haven't had great service from that dealership. Brian was super friendly and very informative about my car because he did some research on it himself which was great. Although my issue didn't get solved here(I'm trying to get repair done under warrenty), Brian and his staff were exceptional. We have used Midas West Kelowna several times in the past and we continue to come back because the service is second to none.

Waiting time was longer than expected however they had to detect what the problem was regarding threads which were damaged through locking nuts. Overall the service was very good.
Got in on time and service was completed quicker than anticipated. A torn wiper was detected and replaced on my ok.
Really appreciated the fact that the staff took the time to explain to me what needed to be done immediately, and what could be put off for another week. Also Brian spent some time trying to find parts for me that weren't readily available, and went above and beyond to find a part that was needed to do some warranty work.

My car was overheating and stopped at Napa to buy some coolant but they didn't stock what I needed. So went to Great Canadian oil change they topped up the coolant but didn't know why it was overheating. So arrived at Midas just before c losing time. They did a quick check and said it was my radiator and they would order parts and schedule time to repair next day. By 12 :00 my vehicle was finished and ready for pickup.

They did a brake inspection for me because they found a hot spot on one of my rotors a week prior . There were no problems found this time and they didn’t charge me for inspection. I trust this team at Midas , they are honest and I don’t believe they would recommend work be done on my vehicle if it was not necessary just to make a buck . I feel safe driving my vehicle after having them service it . They are a great team and it is a convenient location , right by my work , I leave it with them and pick it up at my convenience!

I arrived the 10 minutes early.Brian knows my vehicle, signed me in an I parked near the appropriate entrance for a the change to summer tires on rims.I was distracted with the local morning newspaper. The time to read the paper and have the tires change took about 20 minutes. I signed out. The cost was under $60.00.Yes, I will bring the vehicle back in 100 Kilometers to torque the bolts.My spouses car is to have the summer tires on rims next week. Thank you
