i've been going to midas since the 90s. I use to go to other local businesses but became frustrated when they spoke down to me and were obviously padding other "necessary" services to my estimate. I finally went into the Whittier Midas and was treated professionally told I didn't need anything else done other than what I requested. The current manager Ruben, as well as the previous one have never spoken down to me and have explained why certain repairs in the past were needed. I've sent both my husband and daughter to Ruben because of how great this location has maintained all my verhicles.
My daughter's car broke down and was towed to Midas. Ruben was amazingly helpful to my daughter. Since I was only communicating by phone, Ruben took it upon himself to help and expedite.
The simplicity from scheduling of the appointment to the end of my inspection. Rueben was polite and informative. The mechanic doing the actual work kept rueben informed which kept me informed. The only issue I had is that the website is promoting false advertisements. The location claimed to offer alternative financing. I applied and was approved. The location I went to first told me they dont deal with easypay financing(which was a lie)I confirmed with easy pay that this location was enrolled. then they told me they forgot their password and couldn't log in to access easy pay financing so I had to pay everything out of pocket. I would have never got my service done here if they didn't offer financing. The website falsely promotes this. I also scheduled am appointment but when I spoke with someone in person they said they don't do appointments which again is another false advertisement.

I had a great service on my car while I was waiting for my car to get back to me so content with the service.
I needed to have a 02 sensor replaced, it was in a hard to get to location on the engine and the part was to tight for me to remove. Midas got it replaced and charged me 1/2 hour labor.Several places wouldn’t even look at it.
Staff was friendly, but when talking with me, he was talking about another car not mine. Then when finishing he gave me someone else's key.
Because I always get great service from this Midas store. The manager and all his employees are always friendly, understand my needs complete the jobs in a timely manner. I can't say enough how much I appreciate this Midas team in Whittier.
The morning after my oil change I noticed my car leaked oil in my driveway. I had an appointment at Kia dealer for a recall and asked them to check the leak. I was informed the leak was from the drain plug that did not have a new crush washer. Per the dealer it should be replaced after every oil change.
All my vehicle needs were satisfied.
I was told they put full synthetic in my car. They actually put a blend. My vehicle has never had regular oil in it before then. Major let down. Got my vehicle alignment done, when I left vehicle was pulling hard to the right. Had to bring it back in to be completed. Very disappointed been coming to this location for years.
I thought it was a severe engine problem; take out, repair, reinstall. $4k like other shops told me. No thank goodness Ash knew what it was and parts and labor $1200. My 20 yr old car runs better than ever!Can't thank you all enough for work well done and friendly communication. Ms. Cheryl

The best service I have ever received
Reuben was the front desk associate who helped me. He was clear and specific about what my pricing was and what needed to happen with my tire in order for the hole to be patched up. He took my tire out from my car and even showed me the rubber replacement that would patch up my tire. The service men were prompt and efficient as well. I was very appreciative of their time and clarity. Great service and location!
After my visit, I bought new tires and the back wheel could not be removed without braking the lug stud. So now I have to get that repaired.
Ruben makes the difference at this location. His knowledge and experience really shows.

Front desk associated, which I believe is the manager, was very short, very unprofessional and treated me like I was incompetent person not understanding what was needed. I have been here before with both of my vehicles to preform oil changes, but he made it seem that it was my first time there. Very demeaning when he spoke to me. He acted like he was doing me a favor and not that I was a paying patron of the location.
