I'm always impressed by the hospitality and honesty I get at this location. Employees are always friendly and willing to answer questions. There was one minor error on my bill this visit (they had been having computer issues all morning). I brought it to their attention and they were very apologetic and corrected it immediately.

They opened on time and was very respectful to all. They were very nice and respectful when I checked my car in to get safety checked. They also finished really quickly. When I picked up my car they were right there to greet me and explain to me what I would need to possibly fix before the next one. When I asked them to explain in more detail what it was that needed to be done they did so in a way that made it so easy for me to understand.

Dave the mechanic quickly diagnosed a problem and solution. A problem that a prior automotive shop could not diagnose. Tim and Devin were easy to talk to and explained everything. So far the fix is awesome.

It was easy to schedule an appointment, and the morning of my appointment I was notified of a cancellation, so I was able to bring my car in earlier. From start to finish, my car was ready before it’s original appointment time. I was immensely impressed with my overall experience at Midas.
Recognize that saving 10 minutes on work is not more valuable than a lifelong customer. Also - make your feedback process (this survey) shorter - this is taking far too long to get to the issue. I almost just logged off. If I am not happy with something I don't want to answer a series of questions that have little relevance to my particular issue.

Loren was very professional, I called to see if I could get an appointment to check my brakes. Loren told me that he has an available appointment on Monday, then I explained to him that I thought that my brakes were creating sparks when I step on the brakes. He checked with the mechanic to see if he could check my brakes. They told me that if I could be there within half hour, they would squeeze me in. So I arrived & about half hour later & they took my car in to check & within approximately 2 hours later my brakes were fixed. I would highly recommend Kailua Midas for any repairs.
Be timely with the work or at least explain the delay if something comes up. With an appointment, an oil change and safety inspection should not take 2.5 hours. I've never actually gotten an oil change done at a shop in my life, but I'm in the middle of a move so my tools are gone. I could have changed the oil on multiple cars with a home setup in the same amount of time that this shop took. When paying a labor fee, there should at least be some convenience in time savings vs DIY, but I feel like my time and money was wasted when I could have done the work myself for free and faster.

Excellent customer service. I had purchased 4 brand new tires and one of my tires every 2 weeks my sensor would go off. It was fixed in minutes.
I really appreciated how friendly Devin was during check-in and check-out. It took about one hour to change my oil, which was just enough time for my baby and I to grab some things from Target across the street. They noticed my tire pressure was low and filled them all back up for me as well.
I also had my wipers replaced, 2 front and 1 rear. The mechanic forgot to take off the wiper guard on the rear blade. I discovered it after I tried to use it during some rain I encountered. I removed the wiper guard and proceeded. Unfortunately, the blade does not make contact with the upper middle section of the window. It is obvious that the mechanic did not double-check his work before releasing the car. I am unable to get back to this location at the moment but will call to explain and hopefully receive a quick resolution.

I dropped off my tire for my work van right before closing time and was pleasantly surprised that the technician was still more then willing to help me. He told me exactly how long it would take and how much it would cost. The next day the same technician called me to let me know my tire was ready for pick up. Thank you for the fast and friendly service.
I encourage your employees to share all 3 options for oil changes, rather than assuming I wanted the most expensive one and not even mentioning price options. He also was fairly judgmental when I chose the cheaper option, rather than allowing me to make my own decision about my vehicle. I was also told the oil change would take less than 1.5 hours but it took exactly 1.5 hours (which feels excessive given that this was a scheduled appointment), which caused me to be late to work.
I’ve been to Midas twice and both times they took 2-3.5 hours to inspect my car, which only takes 30 minutes max if they are not fixing/working on my car. I even made an appointment so I could avoid this complication. So I would say work on time management and try to schedule more people in a day (more than 2) so the process does not prolong.
It was much easier than dealing with the Mazda dealer in town. Close to my home, so very convenient.Honest.

1. An oil change SHOULD NOT take 1.5hrs (the time promised) nor should it take 2hrs & 15mins (actual time it took)2. The signs in the office say "free tire rotation with oil change". I had to ask about that when paying & was told my tires couldn't be rotated since my front tires were "bald", which is fine, but he should've told me that, I shouldn't have had to ask. I could have been offered a discount since it wasn't done, or a coupon for a tire rotation later. Also, I hate to think of how much longer my appt would have taken if a rotation was done!
