I went in for an oil change asking for synthetic blend 5w-20 oil. The tech recommended "Better" oil change and I paid for it. While waiting, I took a deeper dive into the Good Better Best oil changes and found that all three have synthetic blend oil. The Better had a high mileage synthetic blend. My car has 26k miles on it. It does not need high mileage oil. I ended up paying almost twice for something I didnt need. I wish service writers were more transparent on pricing.

I'll be going out of town soon, and I wanted to get my 30-year-old truck an oil change before I go. This location really made a same-day appointment over the phone, gave me a very accurate quote, and were speedy with the service. They were also very friendly and went above and beyond by filling my tires, checking my truck's other fluids, and more -- I loved the detailed sheet they gave me at the end. Five stars!

Overall great customer service! I’m sure if this location was booked my car would have had to wait longer to be looked at but it wasn’t. I called the same day got an estimated cost. I was told to come right in without an appointment. I waited for my car to be fix for about 45 mins or less. I was walked through step by step of the work and cost process. Payed for my service and left. Everything works like nothing happened. I would highly recommend anyone coming to Midas for auto repairs.

I have used Midas on Glen in Peoria a lot over the years. I asked for 1 favor, just to have them loosen my license plate screws so I could switch my license plate holder. Would have taken 2 minutes. I was told no, I would have to make an appointment. This didn't sit well and might cause me to start going elsewhere.
I came in for many issues with my car. Abigail answered all of my calls and was very kind. I noticed unlike other shops both Dennis and Abigail listened to everything I had to say they never cut me off or got tired of my many questions. The tech that worked on my car clearly did a great job as there is no more issues. I would highly recommend this location in the future!!

Labor cost should not almost match price of parts. Plus, the upselling of services is getting to be way too much pressure put on the customer.
The Midas staff on Glen Avenue have always been straightforward and easy to talk to and very dependable. They've always gone out of their way to please.
Had a flat tire in need of evaluation for repair. They got me in quickly and were able to work in the repair the same day. I even got them to do an oil change which was needed too.
Abigail, the associate at the front desk was rude and inpatient. Very sure she is aware of what she did , so did not offer the opportunity for the survey and discount at the point of check out as she did to 2 previous customers before me

The staff were all friendly and professional. They were quick to determine what was needed to be replaced. They searched their records and verified that the previous replacement had a lifetime warranty on the muffler. This saved us some money on the total replacement. They were amazingly fast on the total repair. The Midas on Glen is the only place that I will bring any of vehicles in the future. Thank you for great service!!
During the checking.the girl that checked me in got a phone call and talked on the phone and let me hang in so she was finished and then I had a coupon and she asked me what. Service someone in I told her 2999 then when the service guide down.That's a bill came up to $52 so I was a little shocked on the total mount and. She said while part of the problem was that it took a mileage oil. But she did not Blaine that to me and then she said well. I'm bad and left it like that had to get a manager to explain it to me. I just think it was shoulder been a lot more professional. And that she should have explained me that the car needed high Miley jail before the service.
I wasn't highly satisfied. A previous manager, Delgadillo, was a much more customer friendly manager. He stayed on top of things and helped out the low income people who came to his shop.

I had my car towed to the Midas because it would not start. They ran a diagnostic on it and was able to point out the problem more but I had to take it to a dealer. Even though they weren’t able to fix it, they were very helpful.
Had a tire repaired prior to this visit.All other places would not even look at my tire.They were honest with me about the tire I had repaired.
The communication from the time I scheduled the appointment, to arriving and during my appointment was great. When I walked into the waiting area the gentleman at the counter already had my info pulled up based off the car, I showed up in. He was very polite and explained everything to me. I waited for my vehicle and they took care of my car as quickly as they could. I was impressed with how patient the gentleman was even though the phone kept ringing and people without appointments kept coming in asking for service that day.

Sam is THE BEST THING you have got going for you. He is EXTREMELY concerned that all knows what is going on. If a decision is needed in caring for the car or truck, there is absolutely no pressure. Nothing i will never come to this business again
The associate did not ask the coupon I mentioned and the card was run and there was no way to add them and they couldn’t help me to use its such a waste of money even they knew I had coupon.
They explained all in detail. And also how to fill out the inspection form.
Called for an emergency problem, got me in diagnosed problem, ordered parts, fixed vehicle within 2 days.
I felt that that the problems that were diagnosed were legit, and that they weren’t trying to sell me nonsense that I didn’t need. The overall service and communication were fantastic, and for the moment my car is doing much better!
I understand it gets busy, but do not take more appointments than techs can handle. I dropped my car off at 10:30 a.m. because I was told to bring it in before my 11:30 appointment. I left it for three hours before returning at 1:30 p.m. I had to sit inside for another 2.5 hours before my two tire replacement service was completed. Therefore my car was at Midas from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. although the appointment said 11:30-1:30. Communication was poor.I also didn't appreciate that while I was on a PRIVATE phone call telling the person on the other end how long my car had been there— the front desk attendant chimed in and said “your car hasn’t been worked on that long though.” As if I were speaking with him directly. That was extremely bold to respond when I was on a phone call quietly in the lobby. Not only that, as soon as I left the Midas lot, my tire sensor came on saying I had low pressure on my driver’s side front tire, which I got replaced. I came back the next day for it to be examined. Turns out, my tire only had 29 PSI instead of the 34 it was supposed to have. There seemed to be a lot of concern on the face of the tech and front desk person once they realized it.
Honestly. The guy at the front desk is awesome. Super friendly and welcoming. Everything is clean. Fast service. Just everything. I’ve never felt like I was being up sold and that is rare these days. I send everyone here.

Dennis I did an amazing job taking care of us! We were from out of town and he was able to coordinate our vehicle work to be done in a quick manner so we could get back on the road. I cannot say enough good things about the customer service and Dennis.
I went in to get my alternator fixed, and my battery looked at. I was overcharged for a alternator, disrespected by Dennis and the tech purposefully only charged my battery enough to get it out of the parking lot, which was Dennis’ exact words. When I went back, I had to fight to get any sort of accommodation for the fact that I had to have a towing service come and take care of my car because Midas did not. There was not a single thing that I experienced that was good about this visit.
Time of wait was three hours instead of two maximum. Price ended up almost twice as much as estimated.

Communicate with customers (especially at check-in.) I scheduled online for an oil change and an alignment, and they only did the oil change. They also let me use a $20 off coupon, but then on my receipt it said $15 off. Then at the time of payment I asked about the alignment and they were just like “oops nope we didn’t see that, come back in a few days if you need it.” I do need it and already sat in the waiting room for 1hr+ thinking it was being taken care of :(
I used Midas for 20 years in Texas so I looked for a Midas shop when I got to Peoria. I was pleased with Midas in Texas and I've been pleased with Midas here in Peoria.

Diagnose the problem correctly. I paid $1800 to have my front struts replaced to cure a noise the car was making when turning. When I picked up my car, the noise was still there. Now they say it is something else and I would have to pay $750 additional. I would expect those professionals to come closer to a correct diagnosis the first time.
