Midas, at this address, is my neighbourhood ‘go to’ place, As usual, the experience from booking an appointment to send off was #10 satisfaction.I will follow up with the suggested 200 km suggested check up,
I tried to schedule an appointment online. Twice I picked a date, waited for the confirmation. When nothing happened (after waiting the appropriate time), I finally phoned. Was informed the online system does not work.
Sam was patient and explained things thoroughly. Needed to get a locksmith in to cut and program a new key and fob before work could be done. Sam allowed the car to be parked over item and promptly had the work done the next day.

The associates was accommodating and gave me a discount. They did their best to fix any problems and issues.

The customer service was excellent. I made an appointment in the morning, and was able to bring it in by noon, car was finished at 4pm. I was notified when there was a difficiency on the inspection and was able to get it corrected without having to bring it back. Highly satisfied is a stretch for car service. The pricing for tires was competitive with other suppliers, tie rod parts where double+ what I could have bought them for but was ok with it as Midas has overhead to look after. Labour was also competitive and the work was done in the stated duration. So yes, I'm satisfied. Midas management should not be looking for "highly satisfied" for work being done on a vehicle that needs work, as no one really wants to be there spending money on a depreciating investment. I am satisfied with the customer service, the work done and ok with what I paid.
They managed to squeeze me in during an extremely busy time of year and a very busy day.

Good value for the service, except for the problem that when I went back out to my car, the driver window was still rolled down an inch, in a Blizzard. Thankfully the car hadn't been sitting for very long. What was worse was that I drove all the way home before I realized my hood had never actually been closed fully. It had been just closed loosley, but not fully, and it could have flown open at any point.

I know how to change oil, I usually do it myself. They told me the oil I use is wrong for my car. But my family owns a shop and so I’ve learned so much. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I’m a women. It was not a great experience. But unfortunately if i continue to live here I may have to go back because the prices are cheaper then most

I booked an appointment for 10 AM when I arrived the associate running the front desk was on the phone with another customer. I waited for about five minutes until that conversation ended. I explained I had an appointment for 10 and was dropping off my car and would like to wait. The associate looked into the garage and told me that it was “going to be a while” before they got to my vehicle. I commented that it seemed pointless making an appointment if I had to wait a while before my vehicle was serviced. The associate became defensive, telling me all the reasons no bays were available. The associate also said that when you make an appointment for the doctors office you usually have to wait as well. I guess that’s true but I feel that the associate could’ve handled the whole situation better. For example, the associate could’ve said they would work on my car as soon as possible and apologize for the wait. As mentioned earlier, I had noted in my service request I wanted to wait for my vehicle. There were just two chairs in the waiting area and both were occupied so I ended up walking 2 miles back home and then 2 miles back to the shop. Frustrating!

I have been loyal MIDAS customer at my MIDAS on Portage Ave. Apart from my loyalty I further express my gratitude by doing reguylar baking (The Cookie Lady as they call me!). With the4 exception of two questionable managers I have been over the moon pleased with the management and staff. They have gone out of their way to be helpful and fair to myself, my Mom (recently deceased) and my sister. Along with references to many friends. The staff there now is quite new to me, they don't really know me and I haven't been baking much this year but they will get to know me once I pick up that pace! LOL. The only non-automotive frustration we have as a neighbourhood toward MIDAS is the intolerable summer Sunday Night car rally and their parking lot. We know it is a pain to MIDAS to close off the parking lot but it would certainly help the situation.Every Sunday night we discuss whether we should sell our home. The nhoise, traffic and garbage left behind is disgusting. Any way I/we can help MIDAS close off their lot we are happy to do that.Our MIDAS has always been a good community neighbour.The prompt removal of graffiti on the back wall is appreciated.We hope they continue doing that!
Gerrymandering wad exceptionally helpful and friendly. I don't live in Winnipeg, which is why it is improbable that I will be able to return to Midas for most repairs. But if I DID line in Winnipeg I would definitely make Midas on Portage Ave. my main service centre.

The work on 2 vehicles I was responsible for was completed in appropriate time. Obe was fairly urgent and the other was not. The staff were very cordial and helpful.

Friendly service , was fast even though it’s a busy Saturday in early November . They even brought me into the shop to show and explain my brakes were wearing thin and what can happen to the vehicle If not taken care of soon . I’ve got front end work done tie rods , bushings and struts etc done here before . Since my front makes noise again when going down some bumpy streets here in the “peg. I asked the technician about it and he said they’d fix it at no charge if it was something they worked on last year . I Can’t complain , I’d recommend service with Midas .
Accepted to do a diagnostic on my engine issue even though it was 5 min before closing time. Scheduled my car in for needed repairs first thing the following morning, clearly explained the issue and repair cost, and proceeded with the repair in a timely manner. I was back on the road for my cross country trip by 2pm. Can’t ask for anything more!

I had a flat tire and pulled into Midas. I was greeted by the desk staff who had a service person check the tire and since it was irreparable my spare was promptly put on and a tire was ordered and delivered by 2 pm same day. I was advised of the cost which was reasonable and the tire was put on within 10 minutes of my arrival and I was back on the road with my spare tucked back into my trunk.

a problem arose with the brakes on my van very suddenly. I went to Midas because that is where (in the past) we had brakes done. The problen was detected and explained and shown to me. I returned several hours later to repaired brakes and my van safe to drive again.

I did make an appointment for my oil change and confirmed the price of 39.99 for oil change. I gave the details about my car at the time of booking. When I returned the next day, I was told they used synthetic oil and the price was double ($83.00)I understand if this was absolutely necessary, however I specifically verified the first value ar the time of my app.
It was only because it was taken in BC the brakes were grinding/stuttering and the abs light was on. They did a caliper clean and something else, but when we drove it away same thing and lights came on. We took it right back and the manager (Trevor?) Was excellent. He got them to out in on for diagnostic right away and knew what it was even before it came back. The problem was fixed immediately. So my initial satisfaction wasn't great but the speed and efficacy with which Trevor dealt with my dissatisfaction was excellent and I left very happy

I had a tire on my truck that was going flat. I dropped my truck off at Midas to see if they could fix it for me and they had it done within an hour. Most other shops will ask that you leave the vehicle there all day for them to look at it. Always great
