I always bring my personal and work vehicle to Midas Mcphillips. Their team is excellent and trustworthy, most especially to James who explains every details of repairs being done and the prices of repair.
I like how the front desk James, was able to answer and provide info on what the mechanics were doing at that period of time. I also like how they show pictures and detailed explanations of the invoice. They also did small favours for me for free like putting on the front license plate.
I love the friendliness and easygoing nature in the shop. I really appreciate that the manager, James, explains things in ways that make sense, and is patient when I don’t fully understand. He also never seems to have an issue reexplaining things to me, which hasn’t gone unnoticed. I can’t see myself finding any other mechanic.

Wasn't aware buying new tires meant keeping the vehicle in the shop all day. It wasn't conveyed they would do that. My options were to walk home (wasn't aware I had to plan for transportation) or wait in the lobby for 8hrs.
Had brake repairs, and brake fluid flush, but problem of brakes slipping all the time for 2 weeks is still there and brake pedal almost to floor when braking.
I was able to have my vehicle serviced within 24 hours of my request. They were very thorough in their inspection which included rebalancing my tires. The oil change

The oil change was to include fluids top ups. When I got home the windshield wiper fluid wasn’t added. Plus they suggested a power steering flush. I don’t think it was checked. The fluid was clear and the cap didn’t look like it was removed??? It was very dirty in the outside and you would have noted if it was removed or not.

Next time when offering brake pads lifetime warranty explain why the need of replacing the rotors specially when I think my rotors are still ok cause I change brake pads ahead of time before it goes down 20%

Cost estimate provided over the phone was not nearly the same as the cost advised before repairs were conducted. By that time it was too late to go anywhere else. In addition the time estimate for completion went from noon, to around 3pm then 5pm and finally held over till the next day at 9am. I was still charged the same amount. No additional apology was provided and no attempt to lower the cost of the repair was given. Yet I was amicable and did not cause a stir. However, what happened to me was clearly not correct.

I found all of the people I dealt with (from the person I spoke with on the phone to make my appointment to the staff on location the day of my appointment) to be friendly, efficient and helpful. My vehicle was seen on time and the service (oil change) was completed quickly. I appreciated the vehicle check and recommendations made for follow up maintenance.

Take the time to explain the invoice to customers or make it easier to read. There were items and amounts on my invoice that had nothing to do with an oil change.

The worker did not pay attention to when my vehicle was ready. I saw my car pull up in the parking lot and saw the mechanic bring the key to the worker and told him it’s done. After about 10 mins of waiting, and I saw the worker go on his cell phone, I went up and asked if there was something else I’m waiting on. The worker then realized my car is done and the key was just sitting there.
I will not return and I will also not visit any Midas in the future. What is the point in making an appointment if my car does not go into the service bay at the appointment time. I indicated I would wait for the vehicle. I dropped it off at 10AM and it didn't go in until 3 PM. I decided when I dropped it off I would go someplace else and thankfully I did because no one wants to wait 5 hours for their vehicle to be looked at. If getting brakes replaced isn't a wait for it job then why can I select wait when booking the appointment? Then at the end of the day I am told it will cost no more than $500. At 4:45, 15 minutes before close I am told they ordered the wrong parts and now I cannot have my car until Monday. On Monday the bill was over $600 which is in violation of federal legislation as the most that could be charged is $550. The manager refused to honor the estimate I was given verbally and did nothing but make excuses and then tell me all the things the manager on Saturday "wasn't allowed to say" Overall a absolutely terrible customer service and I have already had people tell me they won't be going to Midas again after telling them my experience.
No waiting, clearly explained what they found and what are recommwndations you need in your vehicle. Very friendly associates. Highly recommended this place. Soon will be back for my other car.

Making an appointment was easy. Explanation of what was wrong with my vehicle was explained. It was fixed to m y satisfaction.
I took my car in twice to be fixed, after the first time it was having the same issue afterwards and I called to let them know this and I brought back my car a second time and they didn’t give up until they found the root of the problem and James the manager is a very honest and decent human being and he explained everything to me in detail and gave me a demonstration of what to do with my car if it ever started acting up again with the same issue. Going to Midas saved me at least $300 or more instead of going to Birchwood Hyundai (my car’s dealership) and I know in the future I will be going back there for any other car services that I will need.
