I was in for a oil change and tire rotation, and was disappointed that the mechanic did not check the tire pressure, or use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to the correct pressure. It would have been the right things to do.
Very clear about what was needed, price and time to repair. Went the extra mile and transported me home and back to the store.

Last time I got a tire rotation Midas forgot to reset my dashboard to match the tires and I came back for this. This time I warned them to double check and not only was it not done again, my tires weren’t filled (low air) and they didn’t allow me to come back to have the service corrected until Monday. When I have to work. Which is why I serviced on a Saturday. There were still 2-3 hours left before it closed where they could have fixed this but they refused.

The guy who wrote me up is a jerk. He was a jerk while I was there. He was a jerk on the phone. He should not be in customer service. He should be kept far away from people.

The front desk guy, Grant, is very rude and not helpful!! I am not sure why he is still employed with all these negative reviews about him... Stay away from him... I asked him how long it takes to do the inspection, and in response, he said I don't know... I asked him one hour? two hours? one day? weeks? he kept saying I don't know... He asked me what my plate number is. I didn't hear him and I asked him what? he just ignored me and went outside to check my plate number... They are also expensive... you can find a better price somewhere else without dealing with the GRANT. I will not go back to the West Bloomfield Branch, for sure.
I called for an appointment in the morning. I was given an afternoon appointment on the same day. I arrived about ten minutes early. They took the car immediately and completed the inspection in a reasonable amount of time while I waited. I’m very satisfied with the service and the staff.

If I’m bring my vehicle to your establishment every 3,000 miles for an oil change, I thought you were interested in helping me maintain my GMC. By you charging me to look at my brakes $45.00 just to check out a squeak is bad business. If my brakes need replacing, I’m happy to pay you for the service. If you make minor fix, happy to pay for it. I’ll be moving to a car care group who’s more interested in maintaining my vehicle and not pre charging me for the observation because I answered your service clerks question anything else you’d like me to look at.

Midas was able to diagnose an issue on 4/3/23, during the independence day weekend. It recommended that I not drive the vehicle back to Maryland from Michigan because of transmission issues. I very much appreciated that. However, Midas quoted me a price on a USED transmission (with 90K miles!) that was more expensive than a Nissan rebuilt transmission (with a nominal mileage of 0 miles) from a Nissan dealer. This has changed my view that Midas is a cost effective alternative to dealer service.
The associate or receptionist Brent I think his name was very rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. He was eating lunch at his desk, licked his fingers and gave me my paperwork to sign without even wiping his hands. He told me on the phone the oil change would take about 45 minutes. In person he said it could take an hour. When I asked if the mechanic could try to do it faster he just gave me my car keys back. I was in shock from this kind of service.

The gentlemen that work at Midas on Orchard Lake and Maple are very friendly and comical. If you don't understand the pricing they will explain why the oil change pricing and air filter is higher than other companies. The inside is always clean and even the work area.

I'm a long time loyal customer to this Midas. They arehighly competent and ethical. Work performed resultsin problem free performance consistently. Very wellmanaged by Grant and Scott, who are extremely knowledgeable, honest, and always pleasant.
My first issue is that I know absolutely nothing about cars and would have appreciated more detailed explanations to what exactly was wrong with my vehicle. I had to request that an official quote for the work be sent to me via email so I could look at it. Additionally, I had to remind the person I spoke with about the 10% discount for using AAA as it was not on the quote and when he computed it initially it was incorrect and would have cost me an additional $125.00 if I was trusting and/or bad at math. I am hopeful this was an error, but it was not ideal. Overall, the length of time for the job and work seems satisfactory.
I have been trusting this particular Midas with my vehicles for several years now. Service is always well explained, timely, costs are spelled out before the work is performed. Staff is great about explaining what repairs are safety issues that must be fixed immdiately, and what issues can be postponed for a brief time. I turst them to keep me and my car safe!

I did not receive the tire rotation that was part of the agreement. they said the tires were close to needing to be replaced. then he wanted to sell me new tires. I took the car to another tire place that said I could get another 6 months or longer with my existing tires. I think they were more interested in selling me additional products than doing the work advertised on the coupon. they should have reduced my bill if they couldn't or wouldn't rotate my tires. if you want a photo of the tread I could send it to you

I had been told by a dealer that I needed front brakes, immediately. I had had rear brakes done at this Midas location recently and they were honest and thorough. I left my car thinking I would be called in a few hours. I was called within half an hour letting me know that I did not need front brakes. They gave me the status of my front brakes and let me know whoever told me to replace them either had not looked at them or was looking to charge for unnecessary work. I value such honestly and will continue to bring my cars to this Midas.

Taken in for rear brakes. Estimate was for front and rear rotors and pads (my front were done recently). The quote for just brakes was $1000.74!!!!!! 2014 Traverse. They said they would "throw in the alignment for free" which is insulting b/c pretty much everyone does that. The also quoted us on many other things they wanted to do to the car with a total of $2636.50. We picked up the car without getting work done. Took it immediately to Middlebelt Auto and paid $350.00 for rear brake rotors and pads.

This Midas location serviced our 2016 Jeep Wrangler last year, costing us $5,500 for new brakes, shocks, struts, etc. We had to take the car back 2-3 times because it wasn’t working well. We ended up selling it before it fell apart on us. This time we took our 2011 wrangler in to get a check engine light diagnosed. The quote was for $4,000 so we said no thanks. Grant, the service person was very rude to my wife and to me as well when we each spoke to him on the phone.

I drove in with a leaky tire. I thought I would have to purchase a new tire, but was told that they could possibly patch it. I was given an estimated wait time of 1.5 hours, but the job was done in less than 20 minutes. They could have sold me a tire and made more money, but they were honest with me, fixed my leaky tire, and made a customer for life. I have already referred them to 2 other friends.

Just be aware, oil change service these days are just that, oil. No fluid check or top off, no tire pressure check or adding of air; I remember and miss those days.

I liked the positive attitude and the warm welcome during the Polar Vortex. I was greeted and treated like a customer like a member of the company. The environmental and atmosphere of the shop was clean and well stocked. I was able to use my free time wise
A coupon was used for an oil change that was recently mailed.The service itself was satisfactory. I did not however care for the fact that they handed a $6500 repair recommendation with a bunch of things that were overboard and not necessary. By all means they should point out if you have severe safety concerns, but to attempt to nickel and dime and take advantage of somebody by listing tons of unnecessary repairs it is in my opinion not good business.
