I was satisfied. It was good.
I had an appointment set for Friday and it was my understanding the work would be completed then. I did mention I wouldn’t be available until the weekend to collect it still wasn’t done by Tuesday morning. I am understanding of accidents and emergencies but it did delay subsequent appointments.
I find that the staff was knowledgeable and professional. I was especially pleased that they do not try to upsell and are honest in in their recommendations. My dealership recommended new tires and brakes severak months ago, so I brought my car to Midas to have tge work done. Peter O had the car checked and told me neither needed to be done at that time. He told me to come back in the spring, which I did. I got the tires and adked to check the brakes. The brakes still don't need to be done. I appreciate the honesty that the Midas of Plaistow provides to their customers.
They took care of all that I came to have done and then some. They found something had been nesting in my engine compartment and removed it before too much damage was done.

I had a coupon for an oil change which included tire rotation and to check fluids etc... Because I didn't mention tire rotation at the beginning they weren't going to do it until I saw my car coming down from the lift and asked if they were going to do it. They lifted it back up and did the rotation. I don't think they did the cjeck that was on the coupon as well.

I had my catylitic converters replaced including the Y pipe($800) labor...I received the car back still smelled exhaust when defrost was on.I figured maybe it needed to seal up.I looked around today and found a bad egr pipe 4" from where they spent a lot of time doing the Y pipe...I wish they had called me and told me about the pipe I would have had them replace it while the car was apart....Took me less than a minute to find the bad pipe...

I changed from another Midas shop to this one and was very satisfied. My friend sold his Midas shop and I left because I did not like the new owners. They raised all there prices that I could not afford. I’m 78 yrs old and I liked this new Midas dealership.
Only issue was I asked for a reason how long it would take for my oil change and was told 30 to 45 minutes and it took 1hr10min which in turn made me late for a different appt. And when I asked about it the answer was not what I needed or cared to hear. Which gave me a sour taste in my mouth.
I stopped in on my way to work and they helpedMe right away and Ernie even drove me to work.

Peter, who I assume was the shop manager, along with the rest of the very friendly crew, educated me on the exact repairs I needed, and, actually, saved me from spending over $400 on unnecessary repairs that were recommended by another garage.
I have been going to this location for the last few years. The staff is always friendly and the mechanics are very honest about what needs to get done to your vehicle. If it doesn’t need to be fixed they don’t try to make you pay for something you don’t really need. In this day and age it is nice to know you can trust the service you receive. The waiting room smelled strongly of cigarettes. I didn't think anything of it but when I received my car, it completely reeked of cigarettes. I needed my vehicle for a holiday road trip with my 2 toddlers and needed to get my car detailed and my seats and carpets deep cleaned and deodorized prior to our trip. Even though the job was done as asked, I would expect my car to be treated with respect and returned in the same condition as when I dropped it off.
