This visit was great. However I had to replace brake rotors. I had brought car twice to shop in past to change the brake pads and was told by sales person then not to do because brakes had not worn out yet. Perhaps I would have saved rotors?
Gave me a ridiculous dealer-level price for non-OEM parts (and I know because the dealer gave me the same price, but with OEM parts). Everyone knows, including dealers, that they are the most expensive option, so this Midas is not competitively priced with the Meinekes, Mavis, etc. in the area. The woman at the counter was rude when I came in to get my car after deciding not to get service from them. She tried to get me to sign a document using their electronic signature pad without first giving me the document to review. Umm, sweetie, never sign something before reading it… but I guess that’s how they swindle people at these prices. It was obvious they were as insulted by my not agreeing to the work as I was by their ridiculous price.
Chris and the staff are the consummate professionals. They did a quick analysis and presented options. I was clear about my choices before attempting a solution. End result was a very minor fix that took a few minutes literally to resolve.

The only way to improve any future experiences would be to adjust your pricing according to the market. Because of this, my warranty would only cover a portion of my repairs, leaving me to come out-of-pocket $1400. Unacceptable!!!

Dak, Chris, Cynthia, etc are always so friendly, accommodating, and genuinely kind. It’s clear they love not only their job but each other. It’s always a gamble for a woman to go to a mechanic, but never have I ever felt taken advantage of or talked down to at this Midas which is one of the reasons I continue to come back for all my car needs.

The oil filter was misinstalled, so when my vehicle was taken off the lift and driven out, there was oil leaking behind my vehicle. The tech was quick to notice, and spent awhile cleaning his mess and making sure it was good to go. It just kind of sucked waiting so long, but I actually really appreciated him putting all the effort to clean up the vehicle. He also pointed out a cross threaded bolt to me. All in all, just a bad situation, but I think the tech did a great job. I didn’t get an update on my car, that’s about the only complaint.Id honestly still come back to this location, I liked the service I received. Just sucked waiting so long.

The final price came in a bit higher than the written estimate, and the associate just quoted the price and did not take the time to show it to me . Ill paid, but I needed to open the envelope and unfold the bill to read it. I had been told specifically by them before the work was done that there was a 5 year warranty… on the bill there is only a 90 day warranty. No apology.

The associate that was helping me was incredibly rude. They took my tires off when giving an oil change which confused me. I got a snide comment when I was watching them take my tires off from the associate if I thought I knew more about cars. They then checked my breaks and pressured me into getting new breaks. I was asking questions with the one associate because I have never gotten my breaks replaced before. He brought two other men up to all berate me about how I didn't know what I was talking about and needed to listen. The price seemed high to me and I was asking clarifying questions about that too. They said it's my fault it's so expensive because of the car I own. They also were confrontational that the Honda dealership would cost twice as much (it ended up being almost $250 less at Honda). I had heard rumors that single women were treated poorly at car shops, but I had never experienced it until I brought my business to Midas. I originally came for an oil change and when I signed the paper it said it would cost $60 but I was charge $87. I will never be returning to Midas and I am disturbed by the treatment I received. During the appointment the workers were also fighting.
The part needed for my simple brake job had to be same day ordered three times to get it right. Had to wait 4.5 hours for a job that was estimated to be 1.5 hours. Given a free oil change for troubles.
I was told AFTER I had arrived for my appointment that the work could not be completed because Midas was unable to get the oil filter need. If this was the case, why was I not informed ahead of time that the work could not be done….. as a result I lost time I cannot get back . Time I had to take off from work for

Long time to complete service
The overall experience was fantastic. I came in because I broke down, was towed to site. The technicians and manager there helped me at the drop of a hat and went above and beyond to get everything fixed quickly. Really an outstanding crew and great service.
I requested the rep to validate check engine light as well as brakes. Infact I gave him the code too, which is low oil pressure switch voltage. It was not taken care. Engine check sign It is still on and brake pedal is going too low...

I had a really bad experience at my previous mechanic and was anxious about finding another. So many people recommended the Midas of Lawrenceville. It took only minutes to schedule an appointment, they assisted me the moment I walked in the door, the prices were fair, my service took very little time, and I was greeted with kindness. I'm beyond satisfied and I'll be returning for my next appointment.
They are always fair and honest. The manager - Gene , makes sure of it.They care about you and treat everyone with respect. I have been going to that location for about 20 years and totally trust what they says.The mechanics there are also terrific because of the culture at that location.It does not matter if you are a long time customer like me or someone brand new walking in for the first time, you are treated the same way. Gene and Shaun are always great. Johnny was transferred to help another location but he was great too. I’ve been coming to the Lawrence location for 10 years. They’ve serviced 5 of my cars and my wife’s. Honest communication about the situation and recommendations based on budget but considering the severity of a safety issue as well. I genuinely enjoy the times I come in regardless of whether it was pricey or routine work. Gene recommended the Midas credit card and it has put me at ease no matter what is wrong. To have 6 months or 12 months no interest makes every situation manageable.

We’ve been coming to this store for years. Started as a grad student and have continued. Whenever I go somewhere else’s I know why I continue to come here. Gene and his team are honest up front and will always find the most cost effective way to repair the car. I had a bill for 1500.00 from Firestone for brakes, and gene was honest on was and wasn’t needed and we walked out with a 700.00 bill. Will always return!
Gene was very thorough and made the process easy and convenient for me. He went abiand beyond Amby waiting later passed his shift for us to drop off and was even willing to do the same when I had to reschedule for pick on a Saturday.
