I have dealt with the Midas on 2662 Roby St., Halifax for a considerable number of years. I have never been disappointed or had a problem go unnoticed or not fixed.The staff behind the counter have always explained the process and given me estimates that were close or spot-on. I have never had to come back because something was not properly fixed.

I paid $1200. for a total break replacement, less than 2 years later breaks were scweeking, Midas said we needed calipers, roaters and pads. I inquired about waranty on pads and agreed to have the work done for $1750.00I had to leave work at 8am to bring vehicle and pic up at 4pm and rushed at end of deal, I asked if I recieved the warenty for pads and was told yes, when I got home and reviewed bill I noticed that I did not get the free waranty pads. I had to call and disput the bill and was told to call back tomorrow which I did. I again had to leave my employer to ge back to the Midas dealer and get a refund of $114.00 not the $125 plus tax I paid and my time. Will never be back in your shop.You rip off customers who do not pay attention to their bill. Also there should have been a core rebate, you charged me $244.00 there should be a rebate of about $80.00that adds up when you Rip customers off!!!!!!!

Communication was awful. I only found about the extra $500 in parts and labour at the end. I was only told that they were having trouble with a stuck bolt, and they asked for permission to heat it which would damage the rim. Next thing I know it's hours later and they tell me they spent 2 hours working on it and replaced the brake rotor. I would have taken it elsewhere and scheduled my day differently had I been told that they weren't going to be able so the service in the time or amount requested.

I had made an online reservation to buy and install winter tires. I chose Midas mainly because of the buy 3 get the 4th one free offer. Dave was able to schedule me in much earlier than I that I would get in and relieved a lot of stress about the whole process getting done in time for the first snowfall, which in Nova Scotia can be anytime in November.
Improve scheduling system. Booked online but kept receiving an email asking if I wanted to book in. Improve service in the appointment, if booked for 11 am, then start service by the promised time. Improve communication about how long it takes for service to be complete.

I purchased new winter tires from the store but they put wrong tires (someone else's tires) on my rims. They were 2 hours later than the scheduled appointment time getting my car in originally then I had to wait for then for them to swap to the correct tires. For some reason they weren't able to fix the tires right away, so I had to kill another 4 hours to wait.

I feel I receive preferred service when I need repairs/service to my three vehicles and the cost of each service is clearly explained to me in each visit. I trust the quality of work that is done and the efforts to charge only the necessary costs for any repairs undertaken.

My alternator died Sunday night, Midas had my car fixed by lunchtime the next day. I drove it there on Sunday night, called in the morning, and it was ready for me by 12 PM. Absolutely fantastic service!
The front-end staff at this Midas (John & Dave) are exemplary and. as a result, I've been a loyal customer for many years and with multiple vehicles.At my last visit there was a very challenging problem with a brake-line leak, with the brake-line terminating in a severely corroded something-or-other. (Dave showed me a picture of it on his tablet). Nevertheless, the technician (Kenny) succeeded in removing and replacing the brake-line without having to replace the connector valve and additional "upstream" parts.All told, the cost of the repair was quite reasonable. I was very satisfied.
