When unexpected problems arose during a routine safety inspection and oil change, all difficulties (blown fuse and deformed lug nuts) were completely resolved during the visit. Help was also provided with identifying corrective action needed for another family vehicle known to have similar issues. This will definitely help to keep the family fleet running safely.

I come to Midas in DeWitt, to have Keith, a highly qualified mechanic, do whateverfor my vehicle.
When I called I was told that Midas could deal with an electrical issue and was invited to drop the car off. When I did, I was advised that they would look at the car in the morning. I called the next morning and was told the car was fixed. I did not receive any information or an estimate before the work was done. Additionally, I was charged over $28 for a battery for my key fob. The dealer charged $8 the last time it was replaced.

Needed specialized work on my muffler for a modified wheelchair van. The technician doing the worK as specialized training and was able to get the vehicle fixed the same day by replacing a part rather than entire muffler. The store manager Shane always gets us in right away, and the work is completed quickly as I need my vehicle as it is handicap modified, and I cannot use other vehicles.
They put the wrong bulb in my car so I drove away with no signal light. When asked them to put the right one in they said they were closing and didn't have time.

Please address the customer service complain I filed about the Midas location in DeWitt, NY regarding employee/store manager Shane Hale. Shane and his team lied to me multiple times about fixing an air leak in my tire even though I could hear the air coming out and see the nail that had punctured my tire. I called the location multiple times and was hung up on. I am not even confident that Midas will respond to my customer service complaint after the poor service I received from one of their managers.
Customer satisfaction and quality work are at the top of list for Shane and staff at the Erie Blvd. Midas. My wife recently recommended them to me after a bad experience with my previous service shop, I'm glad she did. I've gone to them for my last two service needs and both times they were able to save me money and aggrevation. They do right by the customer, they have this customer for life!

Felt that I was held hostage to replace wiper blades on a 1 1/2 year old car to pass inspection. They worked fine before this appointment and at $34.99 each ridiculously priced. Beating myself up for not asking for the old blades as new appear to be same result as the “new” ones. Can’t get over $75 for two wiper blades!!

I can't remember the young man's name but from my phone call to the service there he was exceptional from start to finish. He answered all my questions and was able to get my car in on the same day as my call. His service and recommendations helped my family to decide what to do with my mom's old vehicle so we are currently looking to replace it.
AS i waited for my truck to be done I watched Shane and another employee inter act with other customers and was impressed on how polite and courteous they were to everyone including myself. I would not think twice to have my daughter or anyone else go there.

For many tears I have brought in two cars to have my mounted snow tires balanced and placed on both cars. Service was prompt, done with a smile and all tires were perfectly balanced. I am very sensitive to perfectly balanced tires and these could not be done better. The whole operation is very professional, efficient, and reliable year after year. I go in Spring and Fall for this tire work along with sometimes getting a state inspection. People could not be nicer and I am always satisfied.

I assume they thought I was a moron bc I had check engine lights on, stability tracker lights, and three tires needed air, and I have an oil leak. I'm driving the car into the ground before I buy a new one and don’t want to put anymore money into it, if anyone had asked. When I read the papers it said "see pictures" but there were no pictures. The guy just took my money and didn't tell me a thing. Perhaps he just assumed I didn't want to hear it. If so, then I'm highly satisfied.

Scheduled an appointment for loud noise coming from vehicle. Asked them to diagnose, report to me then maybe fix, depending on the issue. Shane determined the problem was an under warranty part. He knew the issues I have had with the dealer I purchased car from, and that I didn’t really want to deal with the dealership anymore. He explained what was wrong, it was another error from the dealership working on it previously. He wrote me a statement for the dealership, and told me if dealership gave me anymore problems, I was to call him while discussing with the dealership the issues they needed to fix! I will gladly have Shane work on any vehicles I need any repairs for!!
I was told that my tires would be rotated for free when I brought my car in for an oil change. I asked the man at the counter to confirm this and asked if there was any issue with my tires. He confirmed that tires were rotated for free with oil changes and that mine had gone fine. I later checked my tires when I got home and found that they hadn't been rotated at all. (My left front tire is a different brand and was still on the left front when I got home after the appointment). I would have appreciated an explanation for why they weren't rotated rather than being told they were when they actually weren't.

I always forget about the info on the folder and so I do not use the coupons that it provides. The mailing post cards are better for me. Thanks for being there.

I have gone to this Midas for around 20 years for all my auto repairs, but was ready to go elsewhere when I found I could not deal with the interim manager after Jerry. But then I learned that the previous second in charge [I wish I could remember his name - if I saw him on the street we’d stop and chat] had been promoted to manager; he is highly qualified and very personable. He explains my truck needs very clearly.The interim manager was terribly inflexible and autocratic.
I have been a customer for many years servicing both of my vehicles at your facility with satisfaction. The last two times I had my oil change the tires were not rotated although it was advertised to be included. The included tire rotation was one of the reasons I had the oil changed there. I gave the benefit of the doubt the first time as an oversight but the second time confirmed the omission. I will not be going back to the DeWitt location again

The service advisors are always very polite and the service is prompt. I started using Midas a few years back, and just the way that they treat you is very professional and kept it me coming back. It’s nice to have a hot cup of coffee waiting and most of the time. If it’s a small repair they get me in and out before I finish a cup or two and when I set up an appointment it’s nice that they get me right in.

The muffler system cost me $3600 - Way more then normal. I was traveling and had no choice. Then tree weeks later I had to return the car to Syracuse because the exhaust system was not attached to the exhaust manifold properly and the manifold was leaking. One bolt was missing and another was loose. Not good work!

I have worked as a Diesel Mechanic on heavy trucks and as an auto mechanic. Come on fellows $925 for rear brakes? The parts are $300 or $350 tops. I just can't see it sorry. I know I can do this job in about 1 hour. 2 tops if we have rusty nuts!. So where is 6hours labor? Don't see it sorry.
This specific Midas location has become my go-to option when I need a vehicle serviced. The staff (I normally work with Shane) always go out of their way to communicate the process and ensure I am comfortable with everything. I called about the problem I was having with my car and then just stopped by the facility. They got my car on the lift within 15 minutes. Before that they explained what the belt would cost including labor. It was completed quickly even having to get the part from an automotive store. The staff person was friendly throughout and explained other benefits.
