After transactions with another area shop that left me feeling ripped off, made an appointment at this Midas location and now they have my business permanently. They are remarkably efficient, clear, and professional in their work and customer service every time I visit. From diagnosing a problem free of charge (and without an appointment) a couple of months ago to today's AC repair visit (which cost me dramatically less than I was quoted at that other place since the repair actually needed was not as extensive), highly recommended!
This was a weird visit- I usually really have a good experience… but this time I called to make an appointment and was told I would not need one. That was a first for this location - they always encourage me to schedule ahead of time. I dropped off my car and they said they’d call me when it was ready (in about an hour), so I walked down the street to get lunch. Over two hours later and no call from Midas, I just walked back and it was clear my car had been done for a while. When I got in to drive home, I see the reminder sticker is from Advanced Auto Parts, not Midas, so I think they just outsourced the oil change without asking of that was okay. The whole situation left a bad taste, it was just so different than my usual positive experience.
Allowing customers to source their own parts for those that can't afford the high mark up associated with shop prices.

I have taken all of my vehicles to the Ithaca Midas for years, and they always provide me with excellent customer service. I trust them, which is more than you can say for most of the other chain store repair shops.
I was extremely surprised by how quickly my vehicle was checked and my oil replaced. Everyone I spoke to was incredibly helpful and took the time to answer my questions and ease my concerns about my vehicle. I knew my car was in good hands!
I had an appointment to swap my snow tires for summer ones. I arrived 5 minutes early, checked in promptly, and the location was not inordinately busy. An hour and 45 minutes later, I was shown by an associate that I needed new brake rotors. I asked how long that would take, and was told about an hour and a half. 2.5 hours later, I was told they were putting my bagged wheels in the car. It took another 25 minutes before I received it back. The quality of work all seems to be great, but it felt exceptionally slow.
Employees shouldn’t try to lie to take advantage of customers. Went in for a simple oil change and ended up waiting 1 hr+ because my “air filters were very filthy.” They recommended I buy new ones. I agreed, but after texting my Father he let me know he checked my filters the week before and they were spotless. The worker also failed to tell me that they did not even have the filter for my car in stock so I waited over an hour. Upon learning my filter was clean and I was lied to, I let the worker know and that I did not want to pay for that ($70+ dollars for filters). I’m extremely disappointed and will recommend people to never go here.
Took my truck in for a power steering line replacement. Manager called back with an estmate of $ 619.00 plus tax, i told him to go ahead. When I went to pick up the truck the total was $719.00 , he said he forgot to add the fluid charge. That is B.S. !

It was very easy to make an appointment for my NYS inspection online. When I arrived all that was needed was for me to sign some papers and they took my car in right away. 20 minutes later they were done. My car passed, so that's always a good thing. There were a few issues with my car that were brought to my attention. There was no pressure to have what work that was needed to be done there. Just a friendly reminder.

I called in a panic because my son lives in New York and I in Texas. He was in dire straights with his rear brakes, rotators and calipers needing to be completely replaced and you had an employee by the name of Chris. This young man by far met and exceeded expectations. He got my sons car right in the shop completed it and got it out asap. My son was able to use his vehicle to go to his job that next Monday. We will be returning and asking for Chris for his oil change and inspection. Your employee Chris was absolutely wonderful.

The appointment was surprisingly easy to schedule for the next morning. Jeff immediately understood my concern about mixed messages from different mechanics. He told me he’d check everything about the sway bar links and alignment and coolant levels before doing anything. He showed me the damaged sway bar link and proved that it needed replacing. He showed me the printout of the alignment check both before and after.
They did the job within the expected time

I have been bringing both of my vehicles to this shop. They do good work and I have trust in them. I would of given 5 stars but when I got in my truck to leave I noticed 3 wheel covers on the floor. I went back in to tell them. I was told that the screws were damaged by whoever put them in last. I said that would be here. They denied. It saying they are new tires and they dont sell that brand. I said they are not new tires. The guy says they still have nubs on them. The tires are close to 3 ol

I was there for state inspection. They tried to fool me to replace all my brake pads and rotors, as well as new battery and some other small stuffs, and quoted more than $1000. I let them failed my inspection and left. One week later, I passed state inspection at Maguire Nissan, without any work on my brakes.
