Absolutely TREMENDOUS service. I’ve been coming here for years and I won’t take my car to any other shop in New York City. Pleasurable check in, positive bedside manner, low wait times and efficient scheduling are just a few of the many reasons why I will always come back to the Maspeth, New York location of Midas.
Greeted upon entering office by my name.Technician showed me the problem and explained how he was going to do repair.
Made an appointment the night before and they took my car in as soon as I arrived. They were very thorough and communicated the cost breakdown clearly. The only thing is I never received an appointment confirmation- I had to call to confirm
The staff was very welcoming and understanding. I scheduled a $:00pm appointment and received a 2:00pm confirmation. It was impossible for me to get there at 2:00pm due to my work schedule. They were understanding and took my vehicle in right away.
Mr Rob and gean are very straight forward, trustworthy and honest individuals. They along with the staff are knowledgeable, experienced and friendly.

We had been quoted $1800 for 2 tires at the dealership and $1600 for 4 with Midas. We had actually been quoted just $1400 for the same 4 tires around the corner at pep boys, but they’re Google reviews had 3.6 stars and Midas had 4.6 and as a woman, I didn’t feel like being verbally harassed that day. We got a quick answer on the phone with a transparent quote and availability to get us in right away. Really appreciated that there was a decent sized lot and drop-off went smooth. Both fellas at the register were friendly and no one pulled any sleazy bait and switch or flirtatious comments on me. The work was completed in a timely manner and communication was great. Pick up went equally smoothly and I left a very happy customer
What I was not highly satisfied with was that an appointment time was not available. I had called in to attempt to make an appointment, and was told it was no appointment and just a walk in.
I have taken my 2014 Pathfinder to Midas for regularly scheduled maintenance, brakes, tires, inspections, etc. over the years and I have always received excellent service. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and takes time to explain things.

Tried to charge me 160 dollars for an oil change plus tax for my Mercedes’ Benz e350 when I brought them the original filter for it and started to drain the oil before I was even told the price. Will never be back. Also without the “20 dollar coupon” the employee applied I would have paid nearly 200 dollars with tax for an oil change when only 55 was cost of labor and disposal so for 8 quarts of 0w-40 oil they tried to charge me nearly 150 dollars when in reality it costs less than half that. Absolutely a scam of a mechanic. Not even sure if they actually changed to oil correctly because somehow they used 9 quarts of oil when the car takes a max of 8 so they either stole some or used the wrong oil so I’m very weary as to if the filter or drain plug washer was actually changed. Terrible mechanic total scam!

Car was towed in. Midas staff took ownership of the situation immediately. Car was brought into the shop in short order. Problem evaluation confirmed my analysis Manager honored my rewuest for a rebuilt part. Also took care of a seat belt safety check I requested. Job was finished ahead of estimated time.
Clear the problem and solution. Pricing was a little confusing, the Waiting area , bathroom and garage were clean but cold!! The Attendent was friendly. All in all Pleasant experience.

when made appointment very satisfied,very clear on when the date of going to the shop the arrival was very quick.the the guy at the desk to care of locating my appointment. as soon as i told him what i was there for and quickly got to it and in a few minutes told what was wrong and explained what cost and needed to be done in detail.got done,it took less than 2 hours to do a exhaust catalytic converted installed and got it promptly taken done nice work at midas maspeth 60-34 eliot ave.in maspeth ny..will defintely will return in the future.

The team at this location were awesome. I called about an oil change and the person who answered the phone was friendly and said I didn't need an appointment and could come on in. I has a few other concerns and their staff happily looked at my car, and in the end it was the front brake pads that needed to be fixed. All the staff are extremely kind, helpful and professional. If they find something wrong that I was not aware of they tell right away so I can decide what to do. They do not any "unnecessary" work (like other places), then tell after the fact. My car is a 1988 Nissan Sentra and I have been bringing my car to this Midas location for over 30 years for work, inspections, oil changes etc. and I trust them completely. When I leave there I know my car and I am safe go drive.

Needed a wheel alignment and went here on a friend's recommendation. I called first to make sure they could fit me in. Gene at the service desk was very personable. The wait was as expected on a Saturday afternoon. I could actually watch the mechanic work on my car. Although the process is mainly automated, his manual input is required. He seemed intentional, attentive and effecive with no sign of end of the day fatigue. I'm pleased witht he result, the service and the price. I'm happy that I went here. My car feels so much better on the road.

It was my first time having an oil change done at Midas. I felt it was very overpriced. I usually go to the Toyota dealer and only pay $55.00. That includes a 15 point inspection and top off of all fluids.

He said the battery was the original battery & was 9 years old which isn't true since the battery had been replaced recently I told him I didn't want a new battery He advised me that I probably wouldn't be able to start the car after I turned it off. I brought in my Mercedes E320 wagon for service at Midas on a short notice Friday morning to replace two hydraulic rear shocks and other suspension parts, these guys were phenomenal especially the mechanic Jose who explained everything to me regarding the parts removed/replaced and the technical details regarding the suspension. I brought my car in to have it checked out because every time I made a left or right turn the cars wheels vibrated. Tony the mechanic drove my car and didn't really notice the problem. Then he put the car on the lift checked underneath the car and didn't find no issues. The reason Im writing this post is because I had brought my car to a mechanic and he had told me it was my wheel bearings. Tony the mechanic at Midas could've been dishonest and charge me whatever but he didn't.

As always you tell them what you want done, and at a compatible price the work is done quickly by highly skilled professionals. The overseers at the counter make sure that your requests are met throughly and precise to specifications.
