I showed up without an appointment with a damaged tire. The manager fit me in so we could analysis the problems right away. Once the problem was determined the manager and staff scheduled the work to be done under a very acceptable and convenient time line. The staff (John) took the initiative and time to check if I had any warrantee available. Manager and staff were very professional, courteous and compassionate toward the extent of my required service and repair, for my vehicle. They invited me to have a look at the issue on my car and explained very well the options I had. I could not ask for a better customer experience! Went there for PSI issue with one my tire. Found out I had a nail in a tire. Tires which I bough from the this store 3=4 months earlier. It took an one hour and fifteen minutes to put a plug in it and cost me $48. You would think going to there to purchase the tires there in the first place would of gotten me some sort of discount. And to wait an hour and fifteen minutes to have this done, is not acceptable. There was no other cars in the bays as well.

Was given pricing over the phone. 4 tires mount and balance $35.50 per tire. Upon receiving the bill its was $40 per tire. $5 more per tire. I also said since this location installed 4 winter tires that they would all lose air. The passenger rear and drivers frontbeing the worst. I asked to check the valve stem. Upon getting the car i was told it was the bead not valve stem. 2 days later the same tires were low an air again. So i was over charged and still have air leaking out of my tires on 2 different sets now. If the team does not have the training nor knowledge on how to re-bead a tire why do the job? Very dissapointed. To make matters worst I checked all tires for pressure. Stick on the car says 35psi. The front drivers tire low at 20 psi, passenger front is at 42 psi, passenger rear is low at 20 psi, the only correctly inflated tire was drivers rear. Very disappointed.

I attended the Midas on Mapleview. When I walked in the owner asked right away if I was Rick. He was polite and took me information. There was coffee available and reading material. I asked him to check my brakes and aftercare check he brought me in the shop and gave me an update. I was impressed with the personal service I received.
The associate said that he couldn’t do just one of the services, he needed to change the RIGHT REAR WHEEL BEARING and the PARKINgBRAKE at once. I didn’t have money for both.When I went to pick up the vehicle he said that he could have done only one, BUT it was easier if he have done two at a time. So that’s not what he said on the phone.Anyways, that’s a shame because I would have change the wheel bearing at least.

I was happy with my experience, of course it is always hard to spend a lot of money out of the blue but the result of what I paid for was worth it. Everything from bringing in my car to be checked out to picking it back up all fixed was only a few hours. I did not stay during that time because there were amenities within walking distance, but the inside lobby area looked very nice so I almost did just stay there to wait.

Easy booking, great communication the minute I arrived, addressed my concerns, the guy at the counter informed of pricing and time it would take and said I was welcomed to wait, will the tech came to me and said he would tighten things up, check to make sure it’s not a ball joint or tie rod, before completing the alignment. Once I received my car back it was aligned perfectly and my car felt more secure and solid, even the breaks felt better.

I found a coupon on the website for a synthetic oil change for 69.99. In the fine print, it stated that it only applied to the 1st 5 litres of oil. I asked if this would apply to my vehicle, and was informed that my vehicle would take 5.4 litres and therefore there would be an additional charge. I appreciate knowing the charge in advance of my appointment, but it was something that I had to ask about first and when it was only a matter of .4 litres, I think an exception could be made. Other than that, I was quite satisfied with all other aspects of the service I received!

The oil change usually takes 30-45 minutes but in this time it was an hour and because they took the car you don’t know what’s going on so I had an insecure feeling.

This is my first time visiting this Midas since I returned to the Barrie area a little over a year ago. I was previously going to the Mudas on Bayfield, and they never disappointed. Neither did these guys. Fast, professional and they never try to sell me something I do not need. Thanks guys, you will be my service center for anything I need.
