Booked an oil change service online through the Midas website using a deal presented to me. The system took my request and booked my car in for the oil change. Part of the information given was year, make and model. I arrived at the location and the people were very nice, however, I was informed the deal, which I gave vehicle details for, was not applicable to my car! And the regular service was twice the price! And did not include the fluid top ups, wheel rotation, etc. I didn’t have time to book back at my mechanic, wanted to just drop in and wait for the car under a good deal.I don’t mind paying extra, I do drive a luxury euro car, but feels like a bait and switch. I will discourage my friends from going to any Midas and let them know about “surprise” pricing. This is not a service centre problem, it is a corporate issue but will unfortunately affect the service provider.
I came in for an oil change and a major issue was spotted with my vehicle and the exhaust pipe and catalytic converter had to be replaced. I was extremely satisfied that I was able to get it replaced in only a few hours and I was given a car to use for those few hours so I can pick up my kids from school.

The only issue I have is that When I booked the appointment online I received 2 confirmations. One was from Google and the other was "Your appointment at Midas auto service with Brian Chaulk on Sep 07, 2023 09:45 is confirmed" However when I arrived at the location they had no record of my appointment. I was still able to get in though.
They were kind enough to do an inspection to see if there was an oil leak. The cap was loose which they adjusted / fixed.
I have a problem really complicated with my car and the staff offered me the options and they was really polite and help me with the solution with high efficiency.

It was easy to schedule an appointment (next day). The inspection was prompt, the explanation was thorough and the estimate (time and expense) was accurate.
The reception and waiting area is very clean and organized. Several other customers arrived during my wait and they were all treated professionally also. I needed a Certified Inspection to sell my car which is why I was at Midas. Therefore, my new car is on warranty so I will go to dealership for now, but I would certainly return to this Midas. Best shop I have ever visited.

I got my vehicle taken in for an allignment and the mechanic told me that he couldn’t do it based on the previous mechanics job. He simply could’ve just called me but he charges me for labour and my car was left with grease stains on the arm rest and back seat. Was running late to work after dealing with the mechanic only to sit in my seat and have my shirt ruined and no car fixed. Asked another mechanic to help with the grease and he grabbed a dry cloth and smeared it in and suggest i go to canadian tire and buy product to clean it myself not professional at all.
I went to the dealership first and feel like after my visit at Midas I was mis lead by the dealership about what I actually needed done on my vehicle. My vehicle is working perfectly now and for a fraction of the cost after my visit to Midas. The staff at this location are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating!

But I noticed a lot of dirty fingerprints in my car after I picked it up. And I know they weren’t their before as I never have greasy hands like that. So that was kinda upsetting. Shocked and disappointed that some simple brake work cost $1600. I feel like there was price-gouging going on and I felt like I was taken advantage of because I simply didn't know any better. Wished I had taken vehicle to a competitor and got another quote first. From now on I will learn how to do this procedure and do it myself. I've checked.........there are several step-by-step instructional videos available on the internet and its not that difficult.

Price of oil change was advertised for $39.99Was charged $79.99 for synthetic oil change which I didn’t realize was not just an oil change. I should’ve just asked to clarify the difference and vocalized just the $39.99 oil change was all I wanted.

Everytime I have come their I’m greeted with a smile and service is always top notch. Even when I had a problem with my windshield their service was good and they went above and beyond to help me out.
My exhaust broke and dropped on the road. A call before they closed allowed for the tow truck to get it to the company and serviced the next day. It was truly appreciated as they took me in and were very kind . Guided me through everything and showed me what they had done.
I accidentally ordered the wrong tire size. Anne was super helpful and friendly and found the tires I actually needed. I was in and out in an hour and a half. I would recommend Midas to anyone

I made an appointment and was taken right on time. The fellow explained everything to me and then he called me at home to further explain things. And instead of me waiting there one of the girls drove me home and when they were done she came and picked me up. The was so nice and chatted all the way there and back. I didn't ask for them to do this but it was greatly appreciated as my husband is not well and I don't like to leave him for long. It didn't take that long for them to do the work. I was very satisfied with the service and will likely go there now for all my repairs.

The work was done within the time frame indicated, the price was reasonable, and the customer service offered by Noori was excellent. I prefer going to Midas for oil changes. On repairs they do a good job and seek to work within my budget.

Taking over an hour to take pictures and send emails is a waste, especially when we have to pay by the hour for service. I was waiting and could have easily been taken to the car and shown. First quote shown didn’t reflect any of the “lifetime” warranty parts and had to be redone. At time of purchase for the “lifetime” parts. It was explained that both pads and routers were covered, but this was not the case. Still paid same amount as first time getting them installed. Saving nothing. Feel very misled and was misinformed about the lifetime parts. Will not be back. Another customer there at the same time was also upset about the same thing and was told routers as well. Sadly I have used this location many times with multiple cars but will now not be back.
All I asked was to top the fluids. They said they added "some" (that I didn't even see the level of the fluid when i opened the hood!!!), and they firmly refused to top it when I politely reminded them. It's absolutely unbelievable and frustrating. Any other oil change service does it properly without asking! You're so cheap and rude

My son needed to have his exhaust repaired and welded on his car as soon as possible. We dropped it off early in the morning without an appointment. We left the keys in the drop box. We called when they opened and explained that he needed us fixed as soon as possible. They checked it right away and called us back with a quote. The work was done promptly after a phone call back confirming the cost of the repairs. The staff were all friendly and professional and helped us out. Mg husband and I and my son were very happy with the service.
Discovered a screw in my tire and was on a VERY tight schedule. I brought the car to Midas and they had it fixed within 30 minutes, no appointment. Incredible!

I came in with brake trouble. They took my car in right away, identified the issue and had me safely back on the raid within a few hours. They even lent me a car so I could get home to let my dog out. I watched as they dealt with other clients and everyone was top notch.
It was not explained nor written that there was a "core " charge on my catalytic converter, but after the service I would have to buy back my own part. That's double dipping!

I came in for an oil change (synthetic) and booked online. Upon arrival one of the front desk workers asked if I was "the customer who was late" to a fellow worker. I chimed in to say that I wasn't and that I booked online and they mentioned it could be their online booking system that schedules appts incorrectly (My appt was at 4:15 but their system said 4). Also I came in for the $69.99 oil change but then was told my vehicle takes a more expensive kind of oil so it was $89.99. No problem, but when checking out there was no mention of the filter fee so when I was anticipating spending around $80 ish dollars my total was $110.

I actually saw what was performed on my car unlike Mr Lube.
Mechanic was removing a broken bolt from exhaust. Instead of threading it out backwards he tried to thread it through by tightening.This took him about 25 minutes longer the it should have. So instead of 1/2 hour labor I ended up paying for an hour

I did not book an appointment. I just showed up in the parking lot, 30 minutes before they were scheduled to open. To my surprise, they opened the doors 15 minutes early. I was greeted by a lovely young lady, named Anna. She immediately took my info and told one of the technicians the issue. Within about 20 minutes, the store manager, named Noori escorted me to my truck and showed me the issue. Explained how they would fix it and even allowed me to take photos. Matthew was the technician that did the repair work. I agreed to wait (one hour) while my truck was repaired. I waited in a clean and comfortable waiting room with a big screen TV and free coffee. When the repair was complete, Noori brought me back to view the repair they had done and explained it all to me. He was so great and I was super impressed with the efficiency and expendiency of the entire process. I did not feel like I got ripped off on the price of the repair. It was actually quite good. Really happy with everything. The owners have hired a great crew of people who actually seem to really enjoy their jobs.

told the lady i had a coupon for my oil change, she never took it off, and then with them doing no communication i was waiting outside for my car to be done, when i saw them close the lid, the girl came out and told me my filter needed to be changed, i said sure whatever, well that was an added 45 minute wait, and then was charged labour for them to repop my hood and put in the new one, even tho i watched them close my hood and they would have had to reopen to put back in the filter if i would’ve said no… ridiculous, had to ask the girl twice when my car would be done as i had to work and was running behind because of the added wait for the filter, so when she told me the price i just tapped my card and left, she never gave me a price breakdown, i saw that after when it was sent to my email, had i saw it there, i wouldn’t have paid.

Although the job was done in a timely manner, the charge of $193.00 per hour for labour is quite extreme. It was a pipe replacement (approximately 2 feet in length) and it took 45 minutes). No wonder the owner has a Mercedes! I have had quotes there for other work and I've had to find much cheaper prices at other places. Overpriced by $100's of dollars.

I always bring my 2007 Chev Impala for oil changes and service. Ive found that theres no overselling. Whatvever needs to be done they tell me and we decide what the best course of action to take. Also, if work needs to be done they give me a loaner for the period of service. Great job Noorie and Brian very honest too.

Scheduling an appointment was very friendly and easy. The technician Steve explained everything in a way I would understand and took the necessary time to do so. I am always pleased when going to Midas.
I had a botched brake line repair at another service center a couple of days before and noticed a lot of fluid leaking on my driveway. Brought car to Midas to diagnose. While car was on hoist was shown constant dripping of brake fluid and all brake lines dangling loose. Noori was G/M and supervised complete repair. I was shown under car when repair complete, everything replaced and clamped up properly. No problems since. Excellent mechanic, excellent work.
The associates phoned and told me about tires needing replaced. They finished the job well before I expected. Very friendly
I received the help I needed without any overall issues, the staff were amazing and very helpful and informative. The service I received was quick and to my satisfaction.
If you plan on calling someone when they’re vehicle is done then make sure to call them so they aren’t sitting around for 2.5 hours. When told it would take an hour to a half. Desk guy went on lunch and the workers never told him my car was completed. If the desk guy goes out to lunch then make someone else make the calls that the vehicles are completed.
They were fast to get me in for the appointment. They were quick to diagnose the problem and fix it. From appointment time to pick up time was excellent.
I came in with a severe tire flat to my vehicle. Knowing full well that they were extremely busy at the time with other tire changes, I had no expectations they could look after me right away but they did. Thank you Midas!
Took 2 hours to get an oil change. No one told me they were behind. No one apologised. I sat there for 2 hours of my valuable time without any indication they were behind schedule. Car wasn't looked at until 1 hour past my appointment time. Then it took them 1 hour to do a simple oil change.. This is unacceptable
Midas was able to locate the necessary parts to repair the issue with my vehicle in a timely manner and a decent cost.

"I booked my car in for brake service and had loaded my summer tires in the car and asked for them to be put on in place of the winter tires on the car. I expected this to be done as part of the brake service .At no time was told that I?d be charged 80,dollars for tire rotation which is a ridiculously high amount When I dropped the car off in the morning I told the person at the counter that I wanted the parking brake set up properly as I have to park on a very steep incline When I was called with the estimate I told the guy again about the parking brake When I picked up my car the first thing I checked was the parking brake The handle went to full travel with absolutely no tension and without activating the brake. It wouldn?t hold the car back in drive at low idle , basically doing nothing at all after I told them twice I wanted it to work properly I went back in and waited for it to be set up properly. So basically two points 1 Charging over $80 for a very simple tire rot

"We always use the Midas barrie location for both our vehicles, very polite and courteous. We?re not pleased that the last two synthetic oil changes were in the winter and we had asked to make sure the person changing the oils ensured to top up all fluids especially the windshield washer as we had further errands to do that day. We asked upon arrival, and when we left after the oil change was completed and was assured it was topped us as this is a complementary service at Midas. We get on our way and low and behold it was not topped up and we ran out. Thus can happen I?m sure. But I asked twice and ultimately was not happy having to pull over in a busy hyway to fill my fluid after supposedly just being told it was topped up. "

I like to go to a place that treats me with respect. I feel the value I pay for the service is worth it. I also like the fact that I am talked to about issues and not spoken down to.Nor am I ever forced to do things.
Recently took my car in had to leave over night because they didn't have a mechanic at 4 o'clock available yet some oil tech was taking it for a road test. Next day got a phone call the oil cooler line was leaking and that rad needed replaced for close to
This location is a complete joke no qualified mechanic at time of drop off to diagnose yet someone was still taking my car for a drive as I was leaving. Vehicle was left over night "unitll the right mechanic was there " next day received phone call the entire rad needed replaced I then decided to take vehicle to dealership where they located a loose line amd ensured there was nothing wrong with rad. Should have expected this from an oil change and tire shop though !
I called and the staff was friendly and Greta to get me in fast. Their shop was clean and did a great job. The front cashier was Greta to offer me the sale price and answer my questions I had. Will def be returning!

I used a coupon for $34.99 and called before to ask and MAKE SURE that was the actual price for my SUV. I gave my make and model he said it was that price. Total came to $47.99. Asked why so much.. Apparently there's a disposal fee they didn't mention on top of price and I paid more for more oil apparently. They also don't show you the new oil when done. I went home, my dad had to top it up still so they didn't even do it enough. I asked if they'd take some off the price and he said no. I would like customer service to get back to me.

This location and manager are friendly and honest with the work that is required for your vehicle, their approach regarding serving your vehicle is professional with the costumers best interest in mind regarding what needs to be repaired for their service and what the costumer may want to monitor suggestions that may require repairs in the near future. This location and manager takes the time to work with the customer to satisfy both repairs and costs of repairs in a reasonable manner. I recommend this location and Talk with Brain regarding any concerns if any.

I heard humming in the tires. Had a staff member do a test run with me, and he figured it was my back bearings, which it was. It was pricey, but had to get the work done. I have no humming now🙂

The customer service rep was very accommodating to my need for an oil change, adjusting my time of arrival to ensure a tech was available. She explained the pricing in detail and provided the coupon I had forgotten. She was very personable, friendly and efficient. The work was completed in a timely manner, as advised. The invoice was exactly the price I was told with no surprises. Excellent service.
