Better customer service, not rude. I understand Midas shops are franchised but you need to have better LABOR pricing. I had the spark plugs changed, headlights, engine air filter & diagnostic check and the labour for all of the service is $527??? How is that even possible??? This is a simple job. I was at the waiting area when they serviced the vehicle. They started at about 10am and paused around 11am to service other vehicles. They told me it's going to take more than an hour to do diagnostics when they should've finished my vehicle first. Instead, they told me they have other vehicles to do as well. So, they had me waiting until for my vehicle until after 6pm. The service I received does not justify the $527.
There wont be a next time, while i was waiting I overheard the service manager tell a customer that they cant blow out the air filter because the moisture from the air line would freeze the filter. Being a retired class A and Coach mechanic I have never heard such nonsense, there is a proper way of conducting business and obviously the Niagara Fall Franchise is nor one of them.

I was being charged over $3,000 to install a Used engine when another dealership charged over $3,000 less to install a Brand New One. When asked why they were charging so much more ( and there were 3 technicians standing there) their reply was that all 3 just shrugged their shoulders and grinned and said not a word. Ripping off people is not a good business policy.

I asked for an oil change only I left with my vehicle making noise backing up out of the bay and while driving that was not present before bringing it inI did not ask for inspection I was told it would happen and now I have further issues I have to get fixed (will not be at midas to fix it) service was absolutely terrible my window was left down and it does not work my vehicle was soaked after from rain and not being able to put it up

There is a coupon on the Midas website that offered a price of $79.99 plus disposal fees for an oil change and tire rotation. Well wouldn't you know I supposedly have more than the amount of oil included in the coupon. I was charged an extra $19. I didn't need a rotation. I guess your online offers are for suckers and I don't like being taken for a fool. I also asked that since I paid for the rotation if it could be done at a different time. They said no. I will certainly advise my friends and family not to fall for that. When making the appointment on the phone I was assured that the price on the coupon was valid. I even gave the make, year and model of my car.

The person in charge told me that the service would take 1 hour and it didn't, it took 2 hours. I think they should keep in mind that customers have their time too.

Repair the issue i had, a different issue was repaired, was told my tires were okay, but 1 rear tire still making noise, that was the original issue i took my vehicle to Midas, was very cold in the garage,renovation office, only cold drinks available, no hot drinks, .....
The promo pricing was $70 for synthetic oil change, but associate told me that there's an additional fee for cars that take more than 5 liters. The service also took over an hour, just for an oil change.

The two desk guys have a problem with each other and there was tension in the room. It created an awkward environment. I think giving the employees a space away from the customers so they are not always on display and have a place to chat about there issues may help. I noticed you were willing to give an elderly couple a $50 discount for service as they clearly needed the vehicle but $600 was still a lot for them to try to find this winter and they were discussing cutting on groceries and grandkids gifts. I’d like to see some program for elderly people where Midas gives a meaningful discount of some sort or are willing to start a fund for people who meet some criteria. I will support companies that I see making genuine positive change.

Free muffler was over $300 to replace when it was a manufacturing issue, told it would be around $200, initial price was $482 the day it was repaired but did receive an e-transfer for about $125 after we left as they charged for a part not used so at least they were honest

Better service than at the dealership lap
I was traveling from Sault Ste Marie Ontario and these gentlemen helped me out huge with my wheel alignment. They called with an update and asked about some adjusting bolts that might be required. When I went to pick it up they did not need to change the bolts they were that experienced with the repairs needed in my opinion. Overall being about 9 hours from home and needed work done they helped me out immensely. I would recommend them in an instance.
From the first phone call I had my car there within 30 minutes and they told me it would take one hour and it was bang on an hour

I have now been to Midas twice. Both times I felt the staff was looking for reasons to oversell products and services I did not really require. I also had a coupon that they tried really hard not to honour. They also did not rotate my tires like the coupon said.
Called and was able to get an appointment same day…..and they were able to fix the car the same day
Oil change took an hour and a half which is much longer than expected. Also upon arriving home I realized they put air in my tires, which at first is a nice courtesy. Until I looked and saw they had WAAAYYYY overfilled my tires. Way beyond the specifications and beyond in my opinion what any certified technician/mechanic would do. Supposed to fill to 234 psi and all of my tires were filled to OVER 300 PSI. The tires state clearly on them not to fill beyond 40 kpa and this is way beyond that. Shocked at such a stupid move by midas. If I hadn't noticed, all of my tires were at risk of exploding and it could have caused a serious accident. Will not return. Ever.

Arrived in Niagara Falls, from Aurora, needing a brake job.Did not have an appointment, however they did not have an issue fitting me in.Their communication was excellent, and they went above and beyond to make sure my car was in its best condition by the time I left.I wish I lived closer so they could be my mechanics.
I paid almost 500.00 for one tire. The associate told me that it was the cheapest tire for my car. I was a woman with 2 children, in another country and I feel they took advantage of my situation.

When ordered tires I was told they would be in before noon. So I booked my car in for noon went to drop it off and the tires hadn’t showed up yet. Once car got done 4 hours later they forgot a hub cap off of it that I had to go back for the next day.
Front desk was good dude. The mechanics are slow and are not very knowledgeable. I went for an oil change at 6pm and it took until 7:30pm. Mechanic kept stopping my job to work on other things. They were more concerned about their new toolbox than the job. Couldn’t even figure out how to reset my check oil light. Sad.
I called the Niagara fall store for the appointment and i asked about the inspection of my vehicle and oil change. As per telephonic conversation it should have been CAD 60 + taxes for the inspection and for oil change it will depend how much oil does the vehicle needs . But when i reached the store, the guy over there told me that for full inspection it will be CAD 130 + taxes excluding the oil change charges. And he explained me about the general inspection that is including with the oil change, but after asking for atleast 3 times by me. And online the price for oil change is 70 excluding taxes, i dont know how it became 90 + taxes when i reached the store.

The Service Advisors were very friendly and knowledgeable. The waiting area was clean and tidy. While I didn't use it, the staff had the network password available for those that wanted it. Hot beverages were also available.
The customer service was absolutely amazing. The cleanliness was impeccable. When my car was completed, the staff went over and showed me the photos and went over what to do next with my car. Very impressed.

When you tell someone an oil change should take 45 mins it should not take an hour and a half. Also $70 plus tax for a dip stick is just a ridiculous price.

1.The pillars for the hoists in the shop are not resting pole for customers car doors. 2. Windshields/ hoods are not spots to place anything when doing any kind of work on a customers vehicles.3. When techs damage a customers car, they should be honest immediately and own up to the damage, not wait to see if the customer notices. 4. Managers/Supervisors should reach out when situations listed in #4 occur and not wait until a google review is posted.5. Make sure a new tech is ready and qualified to work on a customer's vehicle independently before allowing them to do so.
Very friendly and highly skilled staff
Service Manager and Trainee were going out of their way, to accommodate customers, explain the work that needed to be done. Due to the lateness of the parts delivery, I had ample time, to observe their interaction with the public. As to the work my car required: while they were waiting for the parts to arrive, they prepped the car, so it took only about half hour, to install, which I very much appreciated.

At the time I was fairly happy. It took a little more time than I thought and the engine filter that they recommended I replace they didn't have in stock. These were both okay though.However, my issue came when I took my car in to a shop later that week for another issue. They noticed that my oil level was lower than it should be. It looks like my oil was changed, but they didn't run the car and check the level again afterwards. So now it will need another oil change much sooner.

Expected call back for scheduling muffler replacement and never got one. Several emails for survey and thats it. Paid $40 to tell me what I already new and to get a quote but no followup to schedle muffler replacement. Also concerned that they really didn't look at the ither muffler on the car which looks like it has a hole at the top.

Took well over and hour and a half for an oil changed which is blamed on a 100 point inspection I just never got.
An oil change should take fifteen minutes even with a thirty point inspection.. Mine took an hour and a half. Also my two thousand seventeen escape was purchased used 5 months earlier. I was shown clean air filters but told that they needed to be replaced. I actually wasn't told that I would be paying for the inspection on top of my oil change because I would have waved it based on my vehicle being new. I was extremely surprised to pay $95 for an oil change when literally across the street. I would be paying thirty dollars less. I had to tell the mechanics that I wasn't replacing any air filters so that I could leave and go get dinner after my own job was complete. This was a long expensive process and I will not return. The customer service person at the desk was very polite. But also I did not show how unpleasant my experience was. I do feel like the three people in front of me were Also misled with the changing of their air filters. Almost every single person in front of me had a problem with their car which would require more money up front
I got an appointment for 2 days after contacting them. My appointment elsewhere was for 4 weeks later. Everything was just perfect and the coffee offered for free was great too!K

They listened to my problem very calmly and worked and fished the work in a proper way and solved my problem and I am very satisfied and would recommend my friends and family to visit Midas.
I booked my appointment online but there was no link to the oil change deal. I did not print and bring coupon to the location. i was denied the reduced price. Why can you not link the appointment with the deal coupon electronically? The next week I rebooked the appointment for Saturday at 8AM and brought a coupon with me. Novice attendant had difficulty inputting my coupon into the system. I watched the techs for 15 minutes waiting around before beginning service on my car. It took another 50 minutes to change the oil before they asked about replacing my filters (Too expensive). Overall, I expected an oil change to take less than an hour. I was disappointed it took 80 minutes for an oil change at the start of the day.

I had originally booked online and was told I would get a call within 30 minutes. I didn’t. I called in and got an appointment and provided the make, model, and year of my car and asked for a rough quote for an ac recharge. Was told around 340. Booked the appointment, diagnostic took two hours, waited there, was then quoted 660ish because “my car needed a special type of frion gas”. When I asked why I was quoted a lower price of 340ish I was told because they quoted me the lower gas.
The oil change took to long.
An independent mechanic advised me that the work should have been done in 1 hour. Except for the diagnostic which took an hour my car sat in the bay with the hood up. I would like to note that the staff was helpful

Everything they did was explained to me. They told me the fee of the inspection and that if the work on my brakes were done then that would be waived. He explained about picture taking so the before and after could be seen. They were kind enoughto drive me back to work while the work was being done. They told me about the upcoming event in April. They were all most pleasant. I especially appreciated the time Josh spent explaining things even though I am a woman.

My brakes were updated because they needed air released. Because Midas did my brake repairs I did not have to pay anything. I was treated very respectful. It was the Niagara Falls Midas.

Lower prices, and guarantee that if you damage something, it will be paid back. Also ensure all accessories are back into the car, I had to travel back 15 minutes and wait for an hour to get the middle cover of the rim back, since the tech forgot to put it back.

booked an appointment, but we got heavy snow that day and i called ahead to let them know i was gonna be 10 mins late and asked if that was ok the associate told me it was fine but when i reached there he had put four people ahead of me and me who had the appointment had to wait 3 hrs to get my tires swapped which were on rims by the way.they told me my brake light wasnt working and they could fix it and even quoted me i said go ahead but when i went to pick my car it was done because it was led and they had to replace the whole panel so why did they quote me without analysing the issue? beats me. highly disatisfied with service on the whole.

They did a quick diagnosis of the exhaust noise and looked up my records and discovered it was covered under the lifetime warranty. Repair was done quickly and cost WAY LESS that I originally thought it would!
