I went Midas at orillia for the inspection of Oil pan gasket leakage and one power window switch on march 8, 2024 . They didn’t told me about the inspection fee which was too very. They charged me 217$ for only inspection of above two inspections.
Overall I find it a great place for vehicle service, especially oil change. They give the car a good inspection and change oil and filter for a very reasonable price. Always bring forward any issues without being pushy about anything!

I was told what the problem was in timely fashion and was shown the problem while my vehicle was on the hoist. This is what a customer wants to see as apposed to technical jargon.
The staff was super friendly and kindly explained the issue that my vehicle had. They were honest about my issue and did not try to get more money out of me or price it unfairly. They explained it very clear with no judgement to my questions. Fantastic service

Error on car was not fixed. Was left under the impression that it was fixed but as soon as I got in the car the sensor came on again. Not sure why it wasn’t fixed or analyzed. Time is money if I have to bring in at as in.

The girl at the desk is always so pleasant, efficient and competent.All the car stuff was great - very clear explanations, review of the report card, etc. I was taking my dog for a walk during the service vs waiting in the waiting room. When I returned to pick up my car, she even brought my pup a bowl of water. That wasn't expected or requested but very much appreciated. Very personalized service!

I have dealt there before and always had a good experience. Laura has been great to deal with as I have bought 3 sets of tires in 2 years off her, and have sent other family members there for tires.
Laura is always very helpful. Recently, Midas checked my tire pressure. It turns out it was just cold weather causing the tires to seem deflated and they checked my tires and reinflated them at no cause.
Would have preferred a lower price.
Overall just an easy experience, I bought tires and rims, was booked the next weekend to put them on. I dropped my car off, was updated throughout the whole appointment and had immediate responses when I had questions. Loved that they have a direct deposit option so no need to call the bank!

The purpose of this visit was to install my winter tires which they had in storage. They did this timely and every step was explained. They even took the time to suggest that I contact Ford to have them look at replacing the chrome nuts as they have swollen due to moisture between the metal and chrome.The manager Jason was great to deal with I will be returning in the spring for another oil change and put summer tires installation which they are storing.
My car had a radiator problem and I just drove it in and they fixed it. They where very busy doing tire changes. So they saved me from a very bad day. I’m very grateful for them for helping me.

The bearded guy at the front counter was rude and condescending on each of 3 exchanges we had. I made it clear on the phone the day before that the appointment was just to have brakes checked. The counter person acted disgusted and insulting that I was not agreeing to have other work done. The same work that was quoted by this Midas (replace control arms and new tires) is $800 less at Kal Tire, who supplied my existing tires and I have dealt with for many years (free tire rotations).
Perfection would be required so it is highly unlikely that I am ever highly satisfied.

I had an appointment at 8am which I arrived for on time. My car was on the hoist with in 5 minutes. They determined the issue quickly and provided me with a quote. The part was ordered and was installed with an hour. Exceptional service !!

I have a newer car since Sept. 2022 and the Orillia location serviced it also while I lived there. Most expensive place, won’t let you do 2 instalments, over staffed so we pay more. Went to Paramount auto, let me do instalments, no fancy receptionist just workers, costs kept down, good work. Midas is always double the price. Never have the tires you want and missed a new order by 5 minutes. Never easy and straightforward. I get it, it’s a new building and it has to be paid for.

I've gone here before and had a great experience. This past appointment also went well unlike the Barrie Mapleview location. This Orillia location has genuine staff and seem to actually do their jobs accordingly, without trying to force unnecessary sales.

the customer service representative was very short with me. I felt as they did not enjoy their job and that was apparent in how they answered the phone and greeted us when we arrived. Would recommend more staff support as this associate was the only person at the desk and seemed miserable. They did offer a complimentary retorque of my tires but I'm unsure if I want to come back after the lack of friendliness and customer service.
The technician servicing my truck was very slow, not confident and weak in his knowledge of what he was doing. Seemed like he was in training? I had an appointment that took 2-1/2 hours to pull 4 old tires off rims and to install new tires onto rims then install 4 tires onto truck.
Basically was told the wrong side of my car's Wheel Bearing was needing replacement! They told me the right side! Took it for a second inspection of Wheel Bearings. It is not the side you told me. It is left front wheel bearing that is gone! Not the right front. So even if I had the right side done it wouldn't have solved the issue.

The oil change was on sale, and first time I went the service was friendly and very good, hence why I returned.
Jason and Laura were so accommodating, l had my new puppy with me and Laura appeared with a water bowl and treat!Jason explained everything and l watched it get done. I'm a senior over 70 and the price to fix the hole felt quite high, but it is now fixed and safe and hopefully lasts another 7 years!!
Tires were balanced improperly. Excessive amounts of weight to balance the tire. The beads should have been broken and the tire repositioned on the rim as to require less weight for proper balancing. Truck shakes terribly while driving.

I returned to have winter tires removed (from two vehicles) because they squeezed me in at the start of the winter season to put my tires on when the previous company told me they couldn't fit me in even though I had made an appt. So, I brought both cars in last week for tires swaps and will continue to book here.

It seem to take a long time to change four tires over from winter to summer. I know there was a vehicle inspection but an hour and a half was too long.
Made appt and had to change it, associate made it easy to do that. While car was being checked they found a few minor problems, called to ask if I wanted new part. Time was not too long for the service

I went in to get brakes done. I was advised I needed to replace front ball joint. Front brakes didn't need replaced. I was pleased the workers weren't going to do things that didn't need to be done. I booked my van in to have winter tires on rims changed over Oct 6th. They told me the tires were too old and should be changed (I am a commercial driver and I know these tires would have been safe for another season but against my better judgement I agreed to buy new tires) they told me they do not carry the Michelin x ice tires that I wanted so I bought Goodyears, I think the tires were over priced but again agreed to get them because Midas is close to home so my wife could drop the van off while I’m at work and walk home with our baby and we were driving to Timmins from Orillia that weekend And they were calling for snow. Since the tires have been installed I have been back to the shop 3 times for them losing air pressure. (The first two times was a faulty valve stem and one that they didn’t change) the final time I was still losing air on my drivers front tire and noticed the rim is bent. So is bought a new rim (they couldn’t find me the same one that was already on the van so I now have one different steel rim)

This was my first time using Midas and I had some unexpected issues with my vehicle. The staff communicated excellently, explained all my options with a detailed estimate and were patient while I made my decision. And then they still had my car ready by the end of the business day. I am new to Orillia and did not know where to take my vehicle. When I called, they were able to fit me right away. Exhaust issues. Communicated options, and allowed me to pay half right away and the remainder in a few days. I will definitely return for any car repairs I have in the future.

Orillia Midas has always been my favourite Midas location. I have serviced my car in others over the years but I trust the team in Orillia above all others.
service was friendly and efficient. one of the service men from the shop niced i was having issue using coffee maker went out of his way to show me how to use it.. very much appreciated
From Laura setting it up to the installers, shop Forman etc, was a better than expected visit. Everything was explained and the workmanship was outstanding. Even the installer asked me if everything went well and thanked me for the work, after I had paid when leaving the facility. Awesome!
The staff was very polite and the product I wanted was in in just a day as they said it would be. It very refreshing to have a business tell you when something would be in and it be there.

I was advised of extra costs for air filters which I felt I could have replaced on my own but felt pressure from service advisor to complete during oil change service.

The customer service was great. The service on the car was fine. The only thing I found disappointing was the bill. The oil change was advertised as being $69.99, but due to some undisclosed charges, the bill came up to nearly $85! Granted, that's only around $5 more than it would have been after taxes. However, it would have been nice to have been warned about the $5 charge.
Brought my Car in, it was fixed pretty quickly. I’m fact so quick I wasn’t able to pick it up until the next day because that’s what I expected! Haha
I had my car towed over in the afternoon. Needed brake lines and rear brakes. Job was done the same day. Rear brakes were much cheaper than dealer

So I made an appointment for the oil change saying I wanted conventional. Jason told me that I had to get synthetic or it would void my warranty with Ford. While Ford recommend synthetic it DOES NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY IF YOU CHOOSE CONVENTIONAL!! He outright REFUSED TO DO THE OIL CHANGE IF I DIDNT AGREE TO THE SYNTHETIC!! I’m about to leave for a road trip and I wanted my tires rotated which was a promotion they had on so I stayed and agreed to the synthetic. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I’ve had other oil changes done at other stores and NEVER BEEN TOLD I HAD TO USE SYNTHETIC!!
Front end manager (gentleman) was very sarcastic when I asked a question about AC service, thought it may have been an easy fix he laughed and gave me a sarcastic comment

The lady at the front desk was great. She was very knowledgeable and personable and was the same way with every customer that walked thru the door. Even the next day when I went back to have the tires retourqed she went out of her way to ask how the car was driving. If every business had an employee like her dealing with the customers they would be extremly successful!
I called due to getting a nail in my tire. The associate was super friendly and got my car in right away to have the tire plugged. It was ready within a couple of hours.
Orillia Midas went well out of there way to service our jeep. The jeep Cherokee broke dow so we had caa drop it off after close. They did the service next day on a already full schedule. Really appreciate that as this was our only vehicle thanks so much

As always, the service is great and it's explained exactly what was done. I never feel overcharged and it's the only place I've been to where I trust what the mechanics are saying and aren't trying to rip me off.
I had a flat tire on the holiday Monday - of course most places were closed - I tried the online service but really didn’t expect any reply as it was a holiday. So I just went into the shop 8am sharp, hoping they’d at least take the tire and (hopefully) be able to repair it (it was already off the Jeep). They said if any of the booked appointments didn’t show up they’d fix the tire. At that point I did notice a reply to my online request had been answered but I was now there and they were busy fixing my tire. I spilled coffee and they cleaned up my mess - so I couldn’t say the place was dirty (only me). Thanks for the great service. Oh yea, when I got my coffee the young lady said today is your lucky day (I thought it was because of the free coffee - no they had a cancellation!

all arround satisfaction. i am from out of town and needed tirers badly. i whent to Costco and could not be served before 7 to 10 days since they did not have my size in stock.at Midas they did not have them either, since i was to late fore odering. that was on a Tuesday afternoon. ...... Thursday 3:30 i was on my way back home.....Midas beat Costco price by 75$......

Asked for my car to be left outside after it was done Locked & keys in it ( I had spare)It was left locked inside I had a ride to go get it and saw it was not outside it was locked up inside… had to borrow a car from my boss to drive home that night 30 min away

I have had my oil changed here before and the service was excellent and price was in line with other garages. I have had my tires changed from summer to wither twice and again very fair price and done while I waited. My car is in for a repair as we speak. I tried to book an appointment with the Chevy dealer in town and was told they couldn't do the work for a week. I contacted Midas and they took my car in right away and the repair will be done the following day. Again great, fast, efficient and they gave me a quote before they stated the work. I will be bringing my car to Midas from now on for it's service needs.Gary
