Had oil change done at Midas on Jan. 6. Ever since, car has been leaking oil due to stripped drain plug. Cost of repair estimated at $150 before tax. We believe that the drain plug damage occurred during the service at Midas. The drain plug had been fine until then and it's curious or strange that the oil leak occurred immediately after. We believe Midas should undertake this repair at their expense.
The Midas staff were knowlegeable, courteous and helpful.
Stop with hidden charges such as 'custom work'. If you screw up a job, don't charge extra to rectify your mistake. Don't charge $1,500 when a garage out of county quoted $1,080.
Maybe not charge a full hour shop labour for work that couldn't be done in the first place.
Maybe don't get a customer's car stuck up on the hoist for 2 days and loan him a car that was empty on gas. Than charge him full price for the work done. I've been to two locations and still have not had the problem fixed after spending 2 thousand dollars.they have my file check it out you will see

The gentleman that I dealt with was great. The price of my tires and wheels was not clearly explained to me until the time of purchase, and it was more than expected. But the buy 3 get one free deal was great. I think that charging me $10 for tire bags was a little excessive, and charging install per tire ($40 each, $160 total) was scummy compared to just charging a usual hourly rate (which would likely have been less). None of the pricing was explained to me. They were friendly and quick, no issues there.

Please ensure that you don't start the work prior to the customer's consent. The flat tire work started before my consent and then I was told to pay once the work was done. I didn't end up paying because it done without my consent and felt awkward.Also, my check point list was given to me. Normally when I visit Midas in Mississauga, they give me a checklist of everything that was inspected on my vehicle so I can be informed about any upcoming issues with the car

First of all I only needed to change the winter tires with all season tires which I brought with me all tires on rims already! One of my winter tires had a flat and I decided to change all four tires. I wasn’t told the cost of the tire change, I was given a bill after the job was done, for 142 dollars and change!! If I knew it’ll be so costly I would have gone to Canadian Tire where they charge between 60-80 dollars!! Outrageous!!
Midas (mufflers) doesn’t have a pipe bender, who knew? The exhaust pipe (that could have been made) cost me a bundle with no more quality or better warranty than somewhere that knows how to weld. What was I thinking?

Took car in for a specific task. New brake pads. Being a mechanic, I know rotors don’t need to be replaced every time you change pads. Although I was told it was required and that sensors were also required to be replaced. Neither of this was the case and denied the service. This would catch out uneducated customers. My 2011 Ford Ranger was shuddering during driving. I finally assumed my spark plugs needed to be replaced (original 330,000 Kms). Mgr on duty ordered spark plugs and were replaced. $600 later, same problem. it wasn't suggested that wires should also be replaced at the same time. That would be my next step, but redundant labour will cost me another $300 alone. perhaps I'll try a injection cleaner and/ or fuel line cleaning.???

Change your policy about tax exemptions for Native Status Individuals in Canada. The Manager was very rude when he did not want to assist us with this matter. He merely stated that Midas does not grant the ability to do these tax exemptions because you are an American Company. June in Canada is Indigenous People's Month and this experience was very hurtful. I won't be using Midas again and will report this experience to as many people as possible. I will also make it public that I feel all like minded people should not use Midas for any car maintenance.

Damaged rims and told it was damage from before, saying the damage is old, meanwhile the rims are brand new 1 month old, took no responsibility for damaging my rims and even told me he should have taken pictures of my rims before and even said high end cars should be turned down.

Damaged my rims (scratches all over my rims) and charged me 237 after 120 being the agreed upon price. Apparently it's my fault that I didn't inform them they were low profile tires, but than why didn't my same service advisor who told me 120 than tell me it would be more expensive when he took my tires to do the rim swap. Horrible and shady. I thought Midas was better than this. Sad.
