The staff was extremely thorough in their assessment of my problem. They continued to keep me updated throughout the process. I was offered a complimentary loaner car firing the time the car was in the shop. And, when the repairs made to the vehicle didn't fix the problem, they refused to charge me for it. Very professional, extremely courteous and very knowledgeable!

The vehicle inspection took entirely too long it was a simple muffler hanger it took over an hour for them to give me a price on it the price was too high and then they told me it would take 3 hours to complete the work we should have took about 10 minutes to put two muffler hangers on

Within the time my alternator went out, I was able to drop off my car and get it back just a few hours later!
The was a diagnostic fee to do work that didn’t lead to a diagnosis and there was a $170/hour quote to clean off oil just to start diagnosis.

I’ve used the Millwood Midas location many times. I expected the same service from this location which is closest to where my wife works. My wife dropped her car off at 7:30am, had to call them ant 12pm to get an update, called again at 2:55pm and confirmed services, and the car was still not ready when she arrived to pick it up at 5pm. The service was an oil change, tire rotation, and a brake inspection. The garage was not at all full when she dropped her car off. I am very dissatisfied with the speed of service and will unfortunately not bring our vehicles to this location again.
On a Friday I Had an urgent issue with charging system on my way back from being out of town and called ahead an asked if they could check my vehicle out… the staff suggested I leave my vehicle and use their courtesy vehicle while they check my vehicle… this was most helpful as I needed to be at another place soon.They kept my vehicle overnight and called the next morning with results and recommended a brake service which was badly needed… They had my vehicle ready early Saturday afternoon which again was very helpful to get my vehicle back so timely as this vehicle is used exclusively for my business travels.

I came in to have my headlight replaced and was quoted $128 due to the increase in labor fees!!! The bulb only cost $26.00...it shouldn't have taken $100 worth of labor to change a headlight! I did not have the service performed. I went to Autozone, bought a $26 bulb and replaced it myself. I was very disappointed as I always go to this Midas location and have had great experiences...the last headlight I needed replaced, this location did it for only $40...it's a shame mechanics have to overcharge for such a simple tasks as changing a bulb

i pulled in at 515 with a terrible grinding sound. the young men at the counter said they would happily do an inspection for $40 and give me an idea. i returned at 6pm with them having driven my car twice, fixed the brake shield, and topped my car w oil. i have been a loyal customer for 4 years- they consistently are mannerly, timely, and just plain wonderful. i recommend them over and over! wonderful service station and excellent customer service.

I took my 2012 Chevrolet Cruze in when I saw my "Check Engine" light appear. The associate at the desk was friendly and checked me in quickly and was prompt in communicating to me the issues with the vehicle. I appreciated Chris checking on me periodically and I felt confident knowing that he was working on my vehicle. After I left I could immediately tell a difference in how my vehicle felt. It drove and felt so much smoother than before so I'm grateful that I got top notch service at Midas.

When I arrived at Midas, my nice sweet technician guy named Solomon educated me on all things wrong with my vehicle during the service provided. He also informed me about an leak and suggested that I bring my vehicle back in two weeks so he can see where it’s coming from. He sat down During the discussion results of what he found on my vehicle he saw how I was getting worried and he made me feel at ease by saying it’s not a major issue. It just needs to be monitored because most similar vehicles like mine with high mileage will result in some cases. I recommend midas and make sure you have Mr Solomon to take care of you. He makes sure his customers ride safely and secured on the road prior to leaving. Thank you Solomon for taking good care of me. We need more technicians like yourself.

Very friendly, didn't sound like I was an inconvenience when I called, continued to be friendly and professional when I arrived. I called Firestone and Goodyear before y'all, and both of their associates sounded to busy to be bothered with me. I guess that's the standard now for your competition. Very sad. Tia treated me with respect and acted like she was glad to have my business. Very rare these days, keep up the good work!

I am a car guy, been turning wrenches on stuff for 30 years. Did not let this be know to associate at check-in; wanted to see if would be honest with me on what car actually needed. Took an hour for them to work up a quote for me, even though took car in immediately and put on lift and technician looked at it. Then no activity at car for next 50 minutes. Quote was way too high, wanted to replace parts that didn't need replacing and could be repaired. Met with technician at car and explained what I wanted done and at that time let my background be known. Ended up having exhaust repaired instead of replaced, had to pay just labor. When got car home to work on myself discovered that technican hadn't reassembled cat/downpipe correctly, manifold bolts were overtorqued and one snapped off when removing. One of exhaust pipe flange studs was stripped when nut re-installed. What should have taken me 15-20 minutes to change out ended up taking me over 2 hours to repair due to sloppy/careless work by your technician. Very unsatisfied with the whole process and will never go to any midas location ever again and will not recommend to friends and family.

Initial visit was just for an oil change. I then found out my tires were "beyond useful life". I was quoted a fair price for 4 tires. I elected to replace them at that time. I had a short road trip coming up and felt better about doing it now.Everyone was polite and communicated well.

First, i purchased a Groupon for this service. At this location Iw as required to pay $14.00 in fees in addition to the $32 pre paid Groupon fee. I had purchased 2 previous Groupons and redeemed them at different locations and didn't pay any extra fees. Second, once the service was completed and I drove way, my car displayed the check engine and traction error light. I called and went right back and I was told that changing my oil could not cause an engine light or any light to come on. I was adamant that the light was not there before they serviced it and I was certain that this was not a coincidence. After 15 minutes of investigation diagnostic testing they realized that a tube was accidentally detached and caused the codes to pop up. Mistakes happen, and I was not disgruntled. Jay was very apologetic and professional He offered a free service for my next visit and had no problem admitting that they had made a mistake. Good deal. Otherwise Great experience!

Don't take an extra half-hour—45 minutes to perform the inspection without the customer's permission or any notification to the customer that the inspection is taking place. I asked for an oil change, not a vehicle inspection.

Give me back my $586 in pointless labor. I had my vehicle towed in for overheating. They told me my oil filter housing was cracked and needed 3 hrs to complete and also $1,551 to do it. So it was 2:30pm and said it would be done in the mornings. Supplied courtesy car, I went home. Called the next day and said it would be lunch time. I got there at lunch. They then told me my thermostat was loose and they ordered the part because the mechanic didn't check that the day before. I asked for the cracked piece. They showed it to me and their was no Crack. Then told me the gaskets we deteriorated, so I asked why did t they replace the gaskets. They told me you can't manually replace the they needed to be pressed. They lied to me there. Then took the piece off the bill but charged me labor for it. Their is more to the story, I can go more into detail if need be..thanks. I would like my refund please
The staff at was super nice and I appreciate how they brought me out and showed me what’s wrong. They showed me what it’s supposed to look like and what it current does. Also gave me an estimate of how long until full replacement.
I did bot receive a detailed inspection form. All I received was a text that sent me to a link of yes and no questions. For the amount of money I paid in for the inspections they should or did not do. I expected really to see an in-depth inspection checklist.

I had my oil changed and paid for an oil change. Discovered that a my service light was still on and took it to the dealership and the oil was black never changed. Oil filter was not the right size and was leaking out. I called to make sure that madias had the correct filter when I made this appointment and was told yes. I was also there at least an 1.5 hours for nothing to be done except to have the wrong filter installed!! Fast and friendly service. I had to have my car towed to Midas at 2:00 a.m. and was able to park it in their lot with ease but they do not offer a drop box for keys so that was an inconvenience as I had to come back the next morning to drop off my key. Other than that, everything went smooth. The location is nice and clean and everyone is very friendly. I have used this location since they opened.

The ‘upsell’ from Midas is off-putting. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. I had no interest in being sold a brake inspection.
The team was very accommodating to our situation. The service was performed on my child's vehicle (college student). I was able to communicate with the team via phone as I am not local to the area. Team was very thorough in explaining the situation with the vehicle and what needed to happen to return the vehicle to operation.
They told me my car was probably still under warranty so they referred me to the dealership and didn’t charge me.
23-year old vehicle made finding parts a challenge. The service manager kept trying until he succeeded.
All staff members were courteous.
They made sure they got the right issue diagnosed and fixed it. They didn’t try to make me replace several things I didn’t need and they could have if they were dishonest. I will definitely bring my vehicle back because I trust them.

As I was leaving I pulled the plastic off my seat and the paper floor mat away and one of the workers asked to throw it away for me, this was something no other Midas had done for me. Midas shops are part of a franchise and that can mean anything depending on who is running the show. I have traveled a lot in my many careers and have leaned on Midas many times. I am very particular about the service required for my 1987 VW Westfalia as I have lived in Her for business purposes, recreation and (ahem)... other duties. the staff at this particular Midas impressed me as the most dedicated, concerned and truly determined to give me the satisfaction I require. I was extremely impressed with this location. They offered transportation to and from work while the vehicle was being worked on. The costs were better than expected by far. My only concern was the time it took to complete everything. It took most of the day, but I also didn't have an appointment. The staff sent photos of everything inspected and explained in detail what was needed and why.

Here was confusion of the price and level of repairs. I thought I was paying for two new calipers and I got one rebuilt caliper. Partly my fault for not requesting a written, detailed quote before agreeing to the price. Also I tried the online appointment setter and received the initial email that said someone would confirm within 30 business minutes. Two days later I had not heard anything so I called. Travis was very apologetic and offered a free brake inspection for my inconvenience. Though the fact that there was a charge for the inspection when I was having the work done there seems strange. And a $59 shop fee that was not mentioned. VERY dissatisfied with the whole price/ work communication. Despite friendly staff and nice facility, I won’t be back.

Told I would get the $39.99 oil change after $10 off coupon applied. Upon checkout, total came to $61.xx. I knew that was incorrect. I was then showed a screen, told it need just over the standard 5 quarts (but that was only an additional $4). Jay changed a value on the screen and the total came to $55.xx. I didn’t protest. But I’m still wondering how a $44 oil change cost me an additional $11 in taxes/fees. Either way, Travis was who I originally booked appt with and he was very professional and courteous.
I was highly satisfied with the service. I dropped off my truck and people attended to it right away. I will highly recommend more people to use Midas!

I feel mislead into paying for a coolant system pressure test that resulted in no leaks. The manager noted, maybe I hit a puddle on the way in…and that’s why there was some liquid around there.
It was easy to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. I was told of how long of a wait to expect when I got there. I was able to add on a service other than what I initially went there for. I was even helped to get a future service and was even offered a loaner vehicle if my next service took a while.
The experience would have been much better if the price of the oil change and tire rotation was explained more throughly. I used a coupon and the price after the coupon was not explained well.

lI brought my vehicle in for a brake pad change/ alignment, and also to have the cooling system looked at. I brought a coupon for brake pad change. I was charged a diagnostic fee for checking to see if the cooling system could be fixed which they said it could not be fixed. However not only was the brake pad change/alignment NOT done, but the Midas employee declined to return my $200 off brake pad coupon. I will be taking my business elsewhere, and encouraging others to do the same.
Don’t call a customer 15 minutes before you close saying their car is ready. Not knowing where the customer is putting pressure on them to find a way to be there in 15 minutes. Also, my exception wasn’t done that comes with the oil change. I had to point that out and he did it, but it made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Like he rushed through things and didn’t too much care about me as a client.

This is a new, modern auto service facility in downtown Columbia. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the service bays. The waiting area is spacious and offers a large wall-mounted HDTV to view and a Keurig machine for making coffee.Besides the oil change I asked for a quote on replacing the shocks & struts on my car. I was given a printed estimate that clearly showed what the charges would be.

I live out in Irmo and drove past many places that do brake work to go to this location. Service writer cocked and attitude when I requested the same pricing as a previous visit… to quote her. “ I’ve been here three years and we never waived the inspection charge” then asked for the vehicle I had the charge waived and after she saw I was not making that up… she changed her tune… then responded with “ I see, the person that waived the discount does not work here anymore”…. Whatever - but that person is the reason I returned with a third vehicle. That’s ok - $50 for shop supplies is why they won’t see me in there again… I guess Midas got the last laugh. HahaAnd it appears there is a scheduling issue as the shop was way over booked. Good opportunity for the owner to train employees….

Correct my problem. Respect me when I return my car with shabby work and a problem I didn't have before I brought it in to Midas. The top of my steering wheel was just laid on there. My battery light came on car almost cut off when I turned on AC. I took it to another Midas, they fixed steering wheel cover, but car still wants to act like it will cut off when AC is past # 2 setting and I have to turn it off. It's very hot here and I'm afraid to use AC. I had no problem until mechanic worked on my car and his attitude was crappy. I will take it to another Midas 1 more time. If not fixed will contact BBB. In all my years of driving and getting my car serviced I can’t think of a time I’ve ever left and said to myself wow that was a great experience! But this truly was. What was unusual was the friendliness of every person that I came into contact with whether they serviced my vehicle or not: as I was entering the facility; as I was walking towards the register to pay; as I was going to my vehicle; as I was leaving. EVERY SINGLE ASSOCIATE was friendly and acted as if they were glad that I was there. I will definitely be back and appreciate the kind service!
I came in for a last minute repair job while on a road trip and the staff helped me out very quickly and courteously. They made a not so great situation bearable!

Travis treated me with white glove service that I can't get at my dealership where I bought my car. I was automatically given a loaner vehicle which is NOT an option at my dealership. I was treated like royalty by Travis
prices were ridiculous, went somewhere else the next day and shaved off about 50% of the cost Midas tried to give me. Also felt like I was being somewhat taken advantage of because of a lack of knowledge of automobiles with extra “issues” and costs being added on.
Everyone was so friendly and I liked the detailed services they provided me with. I also enjoyed the text they sent me of the overall health of my vehicle. Jay was also very nice and attentive!

Three hours to replace four tires seems too long. The technician’s appeared to move and work slowly . They did a good job but there was certainly no sense of urgency.
Travis was exceptional. He treated my tire trouble as if it was his own. Best service l have received by any business in many years.

They refused to patch my tire and recommended I buy a new one. The tire was patchable as I went across the street and they fixed it.

I came in for an oil change. It took 2 hours.
We were traveling on a holiday and started experienced tire issues. We called around to see if any tire store was open, and the only one was Midas. They gave us directions, diagnosed the issue, put new tires on and we were back on the road in less than an hour !! They were life savers !!!
They took care of us with no appointment and complete the service in a timely manner.

I had a specific problem with the vehicle which I needed to have performed, then I get a long laundry list of items recommended to be performed which were about 10 times the cost of what I originally pointed out to have done. I didn't request these items to be performed, nor did I ask for the wasted effort for the diagnosis. I explained that I knew what the problem was and simply needed the work to be performed.I felt time was wasted performing an inspection when the time could have been better served performing the repair instead.

Told me I need a new manifold cat. Never offered to show me their findings. Don't feel I was told correctly. I was from out of town and felt like they want to try and take advantage of. If they truly found a problem of that magnatute, why didn't they prove to me it was true?
Everybody that I spoke to was very helpful and explained details thoroughly. I have had poor experiences with other auto shops in the past but this was the complete opposite. I felt comfortable and welcomed, I was frequently updated throughout the service of my vehicle, and I was given genuine and thoughtful recommendations for products and services.

The service was great and customer service was excellent, friendly staff, got me home with out asking questions. It's my new midas, just moved here and was worried about a new midas shop because the midas i was going to I've been using for years, but I'm completely satisfied and it's my new midas.
The staff was quick, friendly, and helpful. My oil change was very fast and the communication afterward (letting me know my car was done, the checklist with pictures) was awesome. They also let me know something other than my oil change was wrong and gave me a great deal with a coupon that technically didn't fit the description. Great experience!
Scheduling an appointment with Midas was very easy to do online. I was contacted by an employee immediately. I had a change of plans and needed to drop my vehicle off instead of wait at the store and the staff was very accommodating! They also worked with me to arrange a time for me to pick my car up. I know an oil change only takes 45 minutes but they did not mind holding my car until I got off of work! They honored the coupon I had and the entire experience was amazing! The summary of the free inspection was also very easy to read and helped me identify possible work I will need done on my car in the future and how urgent the work needing to be done is.
Customer service, appearance of location and employees, duration of the wait time was all exemplary. Grateful for my lunchtime visit didn't cause any stress or difficulty to return to my job on time.
My first price quote to replace my alternator was $800+. Way to much! Second quote 20 minutes later $600+. Still too much. Third quote 15 minutes later $500+. All I want is an honest price the first time. Why should I have to barter down the price to a reasonable number. This is why people don't trust mechanics.
Not only did they fix the issue the actually went above and beyond and fixed a side mirror that was malfunctioning for a while. Veryyy impressed!
When I checked my car in it was fairly seamless process. I dropped the car off, they told me what they were going to do for the service I requested and asked why I thought I needed the service. They completed the job in good time. The guy at the front desk told me what they did and how it went. Overall one of the best experiences I have had at a mechanic shop.

I brought my car in because my oil light was on. I wanted the technicians to look into the OIL LIGHT. They couldn't get the oil light to come on, even though they "test drove it a bunch" (must not have been that long because the oil light has been coming on consistently within ten minutes of driving), so they ran codes and ended up triggering the CEL, which hadn't been on for months! They received a code saying the engine was misfiring, so the technician went inside the engine to determine the cause of the misfire. I get how that seems like a totally rational and helpful thing to do, but that wasn't an issue when I brought the car in. I don't remember whether they called and asked me first, I feel like they didn't. Then I get a call saying my it will cost $760 to fix a misfiring issue that I didn't even have going in. To the front desk attendant's credit they discounted the diagnostic fee so the total quote ended up being about $624, but still a lot for a repair that in my mind wasn't needed in the first place. TLDR: I brought my car in for an oil issue that wasn't fixed. I left paying $152 for them to trigger my check engine light. Now both lights are on. Super frustrating.

Fast service, nice facility, and great customer service
My reasoning for not being highly satisfied with my service is not related to the oil change I received but rather the carelessness with the replacement on the caps of my rims after my tire rotation. After getting home, I noticed that they had been re-installed improperly and were jammed in the wrong position. I spent over 30 minutes carefully removing them with a screwdriver and replacing them in the right position so that I would not lose them during travel. It is quite simple to install/remove them usually, and I am discouraged that someone would not take the few extra minutes to ensure that they are re-installed properly after service.
Friendly staff. Things were explained about what was wrong with my car. Question were asked. I felt like I was giving the correct information about repairs.
When I called to schedule an appointment, I was able to talk to someone very quickly who also listened to the issue I was having. When arriving, it was very easy to see how to get in the building because it was clearly marked. The staff was courteous, and let me know there was an issue with a part coming in a bit later than originally thought. The way that they handled the situation still made me feel like they wanted to get it taken care of so that made me still feel good about the visit.
