We was from out of town unfortunately my brakes started acting funny grinding so I wanted to get it fix to be on the safe side when returning home. They did the job and checked other issues but I just wanted my brakes done. The pricing is a lil bit overpriced even if they guarantee their work but I was overall happy with the customer service and friendly guys we met there plus they loaned us a car a big plus thanks guys

Last year brought my 97 benz in for inspection was rejected for wheel bearing.. immediately left and went to mercedes benz on hull st rd and they reinspected and said tech should have known for that yr vehicle that tolerance on front bearings because of type car inspected with no issues. Was told to let shop manager at midas know was never reimbursed.. This week went for state inspection watched tech through window and let teuck sit for 1 hour before putting sticker on and shop manager came out only to say nissan recommends brake flush teuck is in great shape.. missed doctor appt because of this same thing every year the shop manager is a bust in my opinion and I am a 10 year customer until this guy got therw..

Marco Kotze inspected my car and told me it would be almost $5000 to fix. At first, he did not give me a straightforward answer on what I needed to pass inspection, which I had to ask for a separate sheet with that information listed. He stated random information to distract me from the price and therefore took the opportunity to take advantage of me and up charge. When I asked if I could take pictures of where my car needed fixing he was not cooperating and I could not see where my car needed to be fixed. Most definitely the worst mechanic shop I’ve ever been to.

I have gone to this Midas location for years. They have always been honest with me, have very fair pricing, and given me multiple options depending what has been wrong with my vehicle. Their employees are friendly and easy to talk to and my car has always been ready very quickly. I typically drop off the night before and my car is usually ready before 9 AM the next day.

The honestly with Midas is unmatched. I used to always bring my vehicles to the actual dealerships but after Marco was able to break things down for me from an inspection through Toyota, I will never do that again and Midas has earned my business forever.
The on line appointment was easy to set up. However I had chosen the “drop off “ option by accident, Marco didn’t hesitate to change his service schedule to accommodate my needs and got me a round trip ride home so I wouldn’t need to wait at the store for an oil change. I thanked Marco Kotze for his kindness as I had just finished with the second family funeral that I had to deal with in the last four weeks. I didn’t mean to mention my struggles, Marco was just a kind and sincere person who I was fortunate enough to deal with. When I picked up my car Marco said that he had applied a coupon to my service charge, “because he wanted to”. It was such a kind and unexpected gesture. I feel cared for. It’s not the money, though that always helps, but the down right kindness. Thank you so much.

Well I have been coming here for a little over a year now because of a coupon that was given to teachers. I have felt that the staff was competent, but more important that I could trust what they tell me. Instead of facing a sales pitch to get more money I feel like I was told what was needed.
My Midas location is always extremely friendly and super helpful. I can drop by with no notice to have air in my tires or just ask a question.
The staff is friendly, professional and welcoming! I called to schedule an appt for an inspection and had the pleasure of speaking with Marco. He was professional and made me feel welcomed with his humor. He was quickly able to set my appt that suited my schedule. When I dropped off my car the clerk at the counter was also very polite and professional. I love how she went over my expected charges and confirmed when I needed my car returned. Marco called when my car was ready and explained all of his findings ans concerns, again with a fantastic demeanor and his witty charm. The amount of work needed on my car to pass state inspection was a lot of different things. I wasn't sure I would get my car back the same day but I did.

I’ve been going to Midas for years. The owners are friendly and great people. They hire knowledgeable and very friendly staff. Everyone is honest and professional. I always have great service. And the courtesy car bonus is fantastic. I would come here regardless but that really seals the deal. I love their community charity work also. Glad I found this place way back when.

Stop ripping people off. I was charged $95.91 for 8 quarts of synthetic oil. I can get 10 quarts of the same oil for $70 right down the street. It's ridiculous.

A little understaffed, took a little while (2 hours), but I would rather bring my vehicle to Midas and wait for qualified individuals to work on my care rather than bring it to some place like Jiffy Lube. The wait is never an issue as the lobby is comfortable and I always bring something to work on.
I worked with Felicia from start to finish and she is wonderful. I injured my knee and she took the time to explain what I was paying for, and why as well as look for coupons to save me the most money. She is an abolitionist delight and a wonderful reminder of why I won’t go anywhere else for my car related needs!

Original brakeservice in 2/2023, but a squeak in the driver's side wheel. I brought the vehicle back this week, dropped it off and was provided a loaner. My car was fixed by lunchtime and the situation explained to me. They were also able to fit in a state inspection while they had the car. Very satisfied by the results all around and service given.

Marcos and the team were absolutely incredible. Our daughters attend Appalachian State and had driven from Boone, NC to Richmond. When they arrived, we asked how the van had done. The 2011 Honda mom minivan with 235K miles. They said it was shuddering coming down the mountain and I thought brakes. We had the pads changed last summer, but it needed new brakes, struts, rotors, etc. So before we felt comfortable heading back home to New York, I called Midas. I used Midas exclusively when we lived in Richmond and trust Mark's team with everything car related. Imagine my relief when I found out he was the owner of the Hull Street Road Midas. Marcos could not have been kinder and explained everything. He even checked all fluids and alerted us to a power steering issue that we can address this summer before the van heads back to Boone in August! We made it home yesterday and appreciate this service very much! A fan for life! Thank you!

The scheduling was easy, first time idling on-line appt. feature. The mechanic was wonderful and explained what he would recommend. I knew one of the items needed done, and had already bought the filter. The other I did t know about, but he took the time to explain what it was, the cost and what the total cost of my service would be. He also said hello and waved when I picked the car up. I would recommend him to anyone.

Outrageous and overpriced
As stated, the price quoted was outrageous of $776 for front brakes pads and rotors.I went to Good Year and Firestone, and they laughed when I showed them the estimate. Also, they charged $43 for a brake inspection and did not even give me a sheet of paper with the outcome or even take me out to show me what I was being charged for. I feel this was a scam and fraud. The other places were laughing saying that they agreed that this was an outrageous price for repairs.
I had to try 3 times to get an appointment. I went online to request one but it was not until the third try that I received a call to schedule my appointment at the requested time. My overall impression is that Midas charges are high.

Excellent Technician performing the work, Chris, and a great Manager, Marco! Like the text message regarding the status of the work and pictures to explain! Helpful. Shop is clean and neat.Labor a bit high, however, the economy has created some of that.
I had an appointment for an oil change. The bays were empty when I got there. It took 75 minutes to do the oil change. Then my light gray floor mat had grease all over it. AND, they failed to complete 1 requested service: check the tires and pressure sensors to get service light to turn off. Not done.
The young lady behind the counter and the gentleman that painted my catalytic converter was very professional and friendly. I took two vehicles there and both times i spent no more than 15 minutes total in the shop, so they were very efficient. I would highly recommend this shop and will be doing business there again.

I am a satisfied customer for many years. I come to this Midas because they deliver what they tell me, and when they fix something, it is done right.
I had scheduled my appointment on line and asked for an oil change as well as he other work. They didnt change the oil.
Midas is my Go to. Now Marco and Brittany are in the same place, golden.
Appointment was easy to make. Service advisor was very helpful to me. It was comfortable dropping off and picking up.
The services I needed were explained to me. And I also like the courtesy vehicle provided for no charge.
Better customer service and communication. Better attention to detail as far as work orders and work completion. Dropped my vehicle off after scheduling an appointment for a state inspection online the second time because the first time i did not get a confirmation call. when i dropped it off and the receptionist confirmed all it needed was an inspection i waited 5 days and all that was done was an unneccessary oil change and a fastener for the engine filter housing was broken and one was not even tightened. No call backs to inform me of why it was taking so long or when it was ready even after calling and being told it should be done on the 2 days i called to find out the status. no return call to tell me either way even when i was told they would call me to tell me when its ready.
Very efficient. Didn't waste my time and provided what I requested. Always provides servicing advise but don't push a sale.
Mixed opinion-manager seems to work hard, addresses issues; like every place seems understaffed, way too long for an oil change (2 1/4 hrs) and would have taken longer if no complaint. Door not shut so that when I pulled off the passenger side door flew open as I moved into turning lane; last time it was bottom cover not properly fixed. Is the service perfect? no Will I be back? yes because my options are Jiffy Lube or Grease Monkey. At least I feel like the workers at Midas are qualified.

had my car inspected..was told I need exhaust work and rear brakes ...price was over $1,000.00 ..called my Dad he said bring car to him...purchased rear brakes at Advance auto for $84.00 took next day to my Dad (who is quite elderly I might add) he put new brakes on ..went under the car checked the exhaust could not find a hole..he started the car..but his hand over exhaust pipe..no sound of leading exhaust....took the car this am to local Exxon...they said exhaust was not leaking and put an inspection sticker on car..so I spent $84.00 for brakes..twice paid the $20.00 for the inspection so.. Im out $124.00 not over $1,000.00

I bought my Pickup truck in for a muffler replacement. the vehicle sat for more than one day as they needed additional info about the part. I then stated I had a muffler and they said they would install it, but said they would charge me $216.00 for labor. That's excessive and so I decided to not have them do the work. I've had mufflers put on that same vehicle to include them ordering the part and doing the labor for $100.00. I felt offended and being setup to be ripped off. I will never fraternize any Midas establishment, and I conveyed to many friends and family members to stay away from Midas Muffler.
I was in for an inspection on my motorcycle. The inspection was on time and went smoothly. I was out in less than an hour. The customer service rep was very pleasant and provided a quote for some work I need to be done on one of my other vehicles.

I was way over priced. The job quoted 3,600.00. Firestone I paid 2,000.00. I will never go there again. I had more faith in you guys that I wouldn’t be taken advantage of. My boyfriend had an appointed but canceled it after he saw how much money my job was and how much more money you guys were. I remember when I first went there I told the gentleman I didn’t want get taken advantage of. He said I will always treat women like he would want his daughter to be treated. I haven’t seen him in a while. I guess he doesn’t work there.
Booked on line and rcvd an appointment email for 10 a.m. got there at 840xand was told my appt was for 8 am. NOT according to my email. Hannah said she'd "work me in". I shouldn't have had to be "worked in" when I was there at the time you assigned me.

More communication when a 15 minute job takes 1-1/2 hours. It seemed as if the technician went out of his way to delay the process.
I had to get bushings replaced due to it being old and didn't pass state inspection. I am highly disatified on having to pay $1400 when it didn't seem warn out. Other then that I'm good.
I am a long time client at this location. I consistently receive thorough and well explained diagnostics related to my vehicle. Service recommendations are made with no pressure to do them at the visit. I use the recommendations to plan my future services and repairs. Location is also convenient to my home.

i got new tire a few month ago and the front tires tread was wearing kinda weird so i thought i needed an alignment. i waited while they did the alignment. then the lady just check me out and gave me a receipt. i had to ask for the alignment pre and post printout. after i left i looked at it and everything on the pre check was in range and the post check was almost identical. i got charged $100 when i didnt even need an alignment. they should have just chaged a diagnose fee or something. also when i was leaving i noticed that they did not close my hood all the way.

"You'll understand the title in a minute. I needed my State safety inspection done, and most places around me are first-come first-serve. Since I have to wait on my car, that isn't really an option. Midas was willing to schedule it, so they win. The car passed inspection no problems, but the service manager pointed out a very small oil leak from the valve head cover. I decided to have it fixed... And this is where the ""fun"" begins. They ordered the part from NAPA. It arrived damaged. They ordered another from NAPA and installed it. It broke almost immediately. They signed out the courtesy car to me, and ordered another part from Advance Auto, which they installed the next day. At my request, they took the car out to ensure the valve seal would hold, it did. And everything seems fine now. So, why 5 stars after a two day fiasco? Because the team at Midas owned it. The people I had been dealing with for 3 years were suddenly gone. They were replaced with the rudest crew I have ever met. They blamed me for things I was not at fault for. I will NEVER return.

Having been using this Midas about 7 years. Have seen some associates come and go but always have had a very satisfied experience from the front customer service, to the manager customer service and the technicians. There were two favorite technicians but one has moved on as well as the best Manager this Midas ever had. I recently met Hannah at the front, missed Roland at the front and I met Chris, new Manger. Still have Chris, the Technician who is familiar with my vehicle...hope he doesn't move on. Midas always recommends what needs to be done and explains in detail the situation, the cost and what will be done with my permission. Really like the text messages regarding updates and pictures showing the issue and the pictures of the results. My son has all of his company vehicles serviced at this Midas along with his personal vehicles. You can see its a family affair. Please keep up the good work. When people come and go don't falter!

I went to get my oil changed at Midas auto 2/12/22 and was told that I had an oil leak and a coolant leak and they even showed my the leaks leaking oil and coolant but after dropping my car back off 2/13/22 then Midas auto called me saying they didn?t have

I gave them a long list of things to check. They checked them all! I was very happy to hear all was well. My tires are worn and need to be changed. They were courteous and had a nice place for me to wait. They told me it would take an hour and fifteen minutes but it only took about 45 minutes. I was charged a very good rate for changing my synthetic oil and filter. I would definitely use these people again!
