What is your hourly rate? My pads cost 285 Labor was 480 plus supplies 38 total 799 -30 expensive I wanted break pads I feel I got charged for a check up! But I guess you need to do that to guarantee!

You should prioritize who is scheduled
They promised to call me once to quote before the actual work, they never did. They again promised to call me for another piece, never did. Promised to call when the car was done and ready, never did. They didn’t follow up on ANY of the work that was needed further down the line. When I drove out of the shop, I heard a new noise in my car that I have never heard before. Also side not, exterior of car was so so dirty

My vehicle has been to the same location 4 times for the same issue. We are told it is fixed only to find on the ride home it is not and then we must take it back. at every visit, we are invoiced, but the issue has not been resolved so we are paying for them to do nothing, there is no accountability for fixing the issue with the vehicle.

While camping near Sooke, BC our Sprinter camper alternator failed on a friday afternoon. After many phone calls we were directed to Midas at 1830 Island Highway. The team of Emery, Shelby, Sheryl and Evan went out of their way to find an alternator replacement locally. The Midas team squeezed us into a busy workload. While my wife and I checked into a local hotel the Midas team worked to finish the job on Monday afternoon!

There was damage to the interior panel of the driver's door along with greasy hand prints on the interior, exterior door handles and the steering wheel.There was a plastic sheet left on the drivers seat that we had to dispose of.
I was leaving for a long trip the next day thus the service. When I left with thew service complete the Midas associate told me I needed to check my wheel nuts within 100-150KM to ensure they were on tightly. There was no chance to do this for much more distance. It was quite unsettling being told that the tire rotation might not have had the nuts put back on properly knowing I would be travelling at about 100KM/hour for a while before I could do a check.
Don't overbook services so you can get scheduled jobs done more efficiently. Be sure to provide updates by phone. Customers shouldn't have to be the ones calling all the time to check on the status of vehicle. Make less mistakes and perhaps offer discounts when you screw up.
The front staff arranged for a rental car help with my financing and also took the time and energy when my son lost his hat to look in my vehicle in the lobby and we eventually found it they were friendly answered all my questions clearly very satisfied
I was told the wait would be 2 hours but because 4 people did not show up I waited 4.5 hours for a oil change and a new belt and tire rotation the 2 men in the front booking section were awesome and ran around trying to get things done
I am visiting the island this week with the idea of moving in and got worried about the squealing sound of my brakes. I filled out a form for an appointment online and the next day I could bring my car in. The inspection done was fast, very professional and love the quote with detailed explanation and photos! Wow! The customer service person is actively keeping me posted on the repairs. It is really refreshing to have such good customer service!

Web appointment states it will confirm within an hour. Took a day to confirm. My car was at Midas for two full days and work was still not completed. I had to return with the car for another appointment, when I arrived I wasn’t scheduled and then I was told it would take much longer than the hour originally promised to me. Over promised and underdelivered.
Don’t be sooooo regimented. Fix just what needs fixing and be done with it. I feel your company is outrageously bad for pricing as well!

I had my brakes done at Canadian Tire a year ago. I had my car loaded & ready to leave on a trip in a couple days when my check brake system warning came on. Canadian Tire could not see me. I called Midas and they said they would fit me in that day between other jobs and make sure that my car was looked after before my trip. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly. The car was done by the end of the day as promised. The mechanic came out to talk to me when I picked up the car. She was friendly and reassuring. The cost was very reasonable compared to Canadian Tire. The inspection showed other repairs besides the brakes that need to be done. I will be booking in an appointment to get that work done as well. Made an appointment for 930am over phone. Said would take 90 minutes. Drop vehicle off said they would need it all day. Picked up at 2:30pm. Did not find the issue. Paid $200 for nothing
Comminate and ask for permission to change items not listed in the vehicle inspection prior to initiating the work. If your tech breaks something during the inspection of items not listed on your web site, then pay for the mistake and correct the matter. Complete the work and time and or call to notify if it wont be ready. Don't threaten the customer to pay to correct your techs mistake or you will pull the vehicle outside so the client can have it towed. Keep continuity with counter service personnel. One service rep tell me one thing and the other service rep tells me otherwise. This comes off as either unknowledgeable and or dishonest and breaks down trust. Saying sorry does help but its not enough this time.
They said that the wrong part was received; this delayed the work by a weekend. Then they installed the wrong part (right side vs left) but called to verify and fixed the mistake, which took another day. We are happy with the work and timeframe overall. It just wasn't what was originally expected when booked and dropped off so we had to shift around some family plans. Not the end of the world.
My vehicle was given a thorough inspection and options were given for how much work to have done. They were honest and the communication was excellent. I knew exactly what I could wait to get repaired and why.

The communication was bad telling me the total cost of the bill...when the work would be completed. Took 2 whole business days to get my vehicle back on the 3rd day. Told the serviceman at the counter that this by far was the worst visit there and I likely will not be back...furthermore I will not recommend my friends or family go to Midas either! Very disappointing as the location of this shop was convenient for me and the overall experience was dismal to say the least!
Quite pushy to make sales. Rotated tires, which were just rotated. The tire wear was being monitored. Was told 1/2 day. Took much longer for work prescribed.
I was more satisfied this visit than the last. Previous visit the manager was extremely rude and very confident in himself. I didn’t see him there this time and was happy with the associate I dealt with this time. This was my last chance to see how service was and I’m happy with how it went.

I have had my 2021 vehicle serviced at this location a number of times. On the most recent 3 occasions, each time there have been greese/dirt marks left by associates on the fabric of the roof near the driver's side widow as if used on entering and exiting the vehicle. I mentioned this to the desk associate who at my request I watched make a note to ensure clean hands directly on the form. Yet again there were marks left on the fabric in the same locations. This is a newer vehicle which has been kept clean of such markings by the the users. Everything else about my visits are wonderful but I shouldn't have to worry about whether or not I will have stains left in my vehicle.
Poor communication-promised to be completed by around 10 am and not ready by 3 pm. I needed to arrange a ride for pickup.
A phone call response to my online request for an estimate was timely and friendly. I came in at the appointed time and my vehicle was immediately taken in and inspected. The quote was worked out promptly and I was able to know exactly what was needed and all the costs associated with fixing the issue (an exhaust leak). I prepaid, the parts will be ordered and I'll be back to have them installed.Staff was friendly and made me feel very comfortable - the new chairs were nice too :-)All in all, a very good experience which I would be glad to recommend to others.

I never give a highly satisfied to any one. It leaves something to strive for. I was however very pleased with the service I received. Staff were friendly, I arrived early for my appointment but was serviced right away and the estimate time to complete the job was bang on. Also the estimate to do the work was accurate based on the final bill.

I had no problem with the service but I thought the price was kind of high.
I had no appointment, but was accommodated immediately on a Saturday. I asked for break replacements and the honest feedback saved me from replacing the rear brakes (alignment only). The inspection uncovered cracked assembly arms and those got replaced. Engine system flushed and they fixed a damaged tire. Excellent for the time.
I bring both my vehicles there. They work with your sechedule to help fix your vehicles. I would recommend this midas before any other repair shop.

I went to Midas Muffler in Colwood BC from my neighboring town to book an appointment for a muffler replacement. The manager James gave my car an inspection right away and then replaced the muffler while I waited there. I was so impressed by that immediate response and the great service there that I will recommend Midas to everyone!
Well my car has been held hostage for three days already without any offer of a curtesy vehicle and I’m not able to just pick up my car because it’s “disabled”. I am a single mother with a full time job and I just have to figure it out. Super fun.
I believe there has been a change of ownership/management at this location. The new Team has carried on the excellent service provided by the former group.

I took my vehicle in because I needed a confirmed diagnosis whether it was the o2 sensors or CAT. The Exhaust Technician, Steve, thoroughly tested/scanned and looked at the exhaust system. He pulled out the front o2 sensor to show me and it needed replacing. I asked him to check the second o2 sensor behind the CAT as well, which he did, and I made the decision to replace both of the o2 sensors at the same time. I was very impressed by Steve's knowledge, courteous and informative customer care. Steve really did a fantastic job and I'm very happy with his complete and thorough job and how well he explained everything to me as well.
They were very informative, talking me through the whole process. Finding the best possible prices. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. Left knowing my car was in good hands. It was completed same day, they even gave me a ride to my desired location and informed me when my vehicle was ready to be picked up. It was the least stressful situation I’ve ever experienced were repairing my car was concerned. Thank you so much for everything you do.

Appointment for 8am, dropped off at 7:45am. Initially told noon. Called back at noon, told it would take several more hours. No communication from the staff with an update. I came at 4pm and although they had put the tires on, there had not yet been a realignment done. Given that it was closing at 5:30pm, I paid, took the car and went home. Despite 8 hours at the shop, not everything got done and there was no updates as to why it was taking so long. In future, will go to Mr. Lube which takes under an hour.

I had a coupon that apparently was sent out but the Midas I went to said not honoring them as a mistake in price. Well after some talking they agreed to honor the price on coupon that Midas had mailed out to me.

My warranty muffler fell offAll I wanted was it put back onInstead my entire exhaust system was taken off downstream of the cat and they said the cat studs were too hard to get off and I would need a new cat converter I drove home with no exhaust and the replacement parts inside my car and a 190 dollar bill for nothingMidas well put the muffler back on myself 🖕
Wife took time off work to make appointment time. Tires we ordered were not in. Could have had a phone call to avoid this problem. When we did get in car was taken in right away. Tires were removed and then wait for over two hours for install. As a red seal myself this is not service. As a Canadian Tire x service manager tires can be done in less than 1/2 hour for four. Seat was adjusted, mirror adjusted. For the 20 feet needed to get on the hoist is this really necessary!

Brought vehicle in Sat for inspection. Recd estimate and when vehicle was inspected Monday, the price went up $600+. Needless to say the work was not done. Also, $39.99 oil change was $88 after tax - false advertising to me. Too many hidden fees.
Had front rotors/pads/calibers replaced. Brake pads where of a very low quality however the rotors where not. The brakes squealed for 2 months. I had to bring it back and have the pads replaced. When I called back about the squealing issue the manager knew what the issues was right away after he looked up the parts that where installed. Not sure why the these particular pads/rotors where paired up in the first place. One of the technicians punctured my front right tire however, the new manager would not address this.

I was meet at the Service Reception counter in a Professional and Caring manner. My details and vehicle information were entered into the data base in a fast and efficient manner, and the vehicle was carefully driven into the shop, by a clean and professional looking technician who used a plastic seat cover to insure cleanliness. I was offered a coffee while waiting in the surprisingly clean Reception area. Upon the timely completion of the service I was presented with a detailed invoice, noting suggested maintenance item requirements to insure safety. The noted requirements were discussed with me, and I received an addition document showing prices for my consideration. The manager(sorry, forgot his name) was awesome from our first communication, he fit us in last minute while we were on vacation, for brakes on our truck. The shop seemed very well run, we were pleased with Cheyenne the mechanic, she was very professional and seemed knowledgeable.
The person who was going to buy my vehicle said he booked a pre purchase inspection appointment from Midas and told me to take it there. Although I confirmed that the inspection fee should be paid by the buyer with the service manager, they’ve charged me the inspection fee because the buyer bailed from the purchase at the last moment.
1. I thought I was getting regular oil change instead it was synthetic. Didnt call to tell me so huge price shock when going to pay. 2. Didn’t call me to tell me it’s done. I had to call and ask.

The online booking wasn’t working so I’m glad I went in. I was told in the long list of things I need fixing included new battery because of low charge but I replaced it there 2 weeks before. Attendant told me Napa didn’t get back to them to replace them told it was their testing equipment. Asked for prices for long list of repairs needed but they didn’t have time to price so only got an oil change and brakes fixed which cost over $1200+. Told they are short staffed and person checking in was friendly but kept saying he is new and short staffed. All staff were friendly but I was confused as to what needed to be done because I didn’t get a quote. When I got there to pick it up, I saw quote for spark plugs which I would have done if I had been told price. I understand how most businesses are short staffed so was polite. But confused and nervous being told I need a new battery which they replaced 2 weeks ago. Nice staff though
Art booked my appointment- coukd tell it was busy but he took the time and was professional and accommodating. Braden was welcoming when I dropped my car off. I brought it in for several dash lights with faults and he explained what they do. When I picked my car up, they didn’t have time to do full diagnostics but I could see there was no parking so it was (and always is) incredibly busy. I got a full explanation of what they can do next, I cannot fault the care.
They were very friendly, the cost was acceptable and the office was clean.
They used to provide work sheet until the last year, but not any more. I wish they do the same thing so that customers know what kind of service included as well as oil change
Just a few recommendations:1. Staff should have called me to let me know there were a few extra items that needed to be done that weren't initially discussed2. there should be a change at check-in procedure; you should receive a receipt that your vehicle has been received and is being serviced; currently there was no paper receipt given indicating that keys have been left at the facility and the vehicle is being serviced3. Staff should review the invoice and ask to indicate exactly what was done to the vehicle and ask if there are any questions.
Midas reccomended replacement of one component to fix a problem I asked to be diagnosed. front staff said the part was replaced, as did the invoice. Problem was still present when vehicle was picked up, no part was replaced.they found a noise, and stated it was from the tires and needed a rebalance. after rebalancing, the noise is still present, with no follow up. I have had all of their work re inspected and done correctly at the local ford dealership. 2 messages left to the store and 1 email since vehicle picked up, and no calls returned or email returned.

they told me i needed a battery ...when I went to buy a batter a couple of days later, at a different place, they tested my battery as fine. also I was told that my tire rotation would be included with the service, twice, when I got the bill I was charged. They did, however, deduct that cost. late I saw the attached sheet with changes in my tire alignment. I did not understand some of the numbers so I called to ask. they just said that they do it to spec. when I said I still don't understand the numbers, could yo explain,. they put me on hold, I eventually could not wait any longer, and hung up.

The old muffler was left in the car, I though it would be taken out and disposed of. There was a complete check done of my vehicle - was not expecting that even though it did identify issues, that resulted in a much higher bill than I was planning for. Regardless the car is running well and I have peace of mind that it will be reliable.
Brought the car in for rear brake assessment and was called and told front brakes would cost 811.00. No service done , receipt estimate came in at 500.00 plus when we added it up. Not sure where 811.00 came from .
