No price was communicated to me before repairs so I was sitting in the waiting room stressed about what I was going to be charged. There was a sense of urgency as brake ceased as we started vacation. Even though we were in holiday season Ruth managed to get us in, fix the problem and get us back in the road.

I've had a few negative experiences with other garages in the past and find it difficult to get reasonable service nowadays. The Midas folks in my location were very helpful, professional and knew how to communicate. This survey is another good example of good quality business practice.

I normally take my car to this location for service and up till now, I have not had any problems. This week however I took my car for an oil change and asked them to check the suspension and steering as I have been hearing a noise when going over bumps. I watched them check it all over and they said they could not find anything wrong. They asked if I wanted them to take it for a drive. I said yes. They came back and said a rubber bushing on the transmission needed to be replaced. I arranged to have that done yesterday morning. I was told it would take about 2 hours and I said I would wait. After just over an hour it was done - 10 or 15 minutes of that time the technician was outside speaking with someone else. They tried to charge me for two hours labour. When I complained they took off approximately $66 - still charging me $172.50 for labour and $64.35 for the part. A total of $278.35. On top of this the original problem I took it in for is not fixed! The noise is still there!

First off, I have to say that Ruth was amazing!Whomever drove my car into.the bay totally wrecked my passenger side skirt. I was driving, heard a weird noise, pulled over and part of the skirt was dragging on the road. I proceeded to look under the area and there was a huge, fresh scrape. I managed to slide the skirt somewhat back in place so I could get home. I'm so very angry that the Midas technician didn't inform me as it could have completely dislodged and caused an accident. I have always had my oil changes at places that have an underground oil change area and wish I didn't go to Midas.I'm sure nothing will be done but I figured I would fill this out and report the problem.

Midas paperwork said they checked all of my fluids yet 2 days later my brake light came on & brake fluid was down 1/2 of what it should be. I went to their garage and asked about it. The owner told me it wasnt their responsibility to top up any fluids but put a little bit in for me, it was still far from full & said my car was safe to drive. Next day the line blew and I had no brakes. I will never go to Midas for service again and will tell my friends how rude and unprofessional Midas is
I get excellent service at Midas in Cobourg.
They told me I needed a new battery and I took it for a second opinion and all it needed was a cleaning and a new connection part. They also said that I needed a new tie rod, but mine was under warranty so I took it back to where I got it installed, they said it was because it has never been greased, since it was installed. So what started out as a $596.00 bill from Midas ended up under $100.00 in parts and labor from another place. I won't be going back to Midas for oil changes or anything else
