When I called to book my appointment the service person told me the brake checks are no longer free cause too many people were buying their own parts after diagnosis.i found a coupon for free brake check and he didn't know about it and asked me how I got the coupon.i was under the understanding that brake checks should be free without a coupon.

Went above and beyond what was expected by me
I telephoned and got an appointment for the same day. I thought that was really great!. When I arrived, I was greeted by Brian and very quickly he took my information and my vehicle was whisked away for its oil change. The whole process was very easy and quick. I barely had time to do the little bit of work I brought with me, before my vehicle was brought back out. I paid and was out the door in about 1/2 an hour. I liked the waiting area, the wifi, the fact that coffee was available if desired and the friendliness of the staff. The bill was as explained, no surprises. All in all, a great experience.
The service manager is terrific. He is efficient and most important - honest and forthright in his dealings with me. That gains my trust. It is a well organized location.

I have dealt with a lot of automobile repair places, and I rate Midas the best.They are upfront about the work you need done. They do not push you to get work done that can wait.If they feel any extra work needs done, they give you the cost before they start.When I need to get my car in fast, I don't have to wait too long for an appointment.they will explain in detail the work they did, what the problem was and why it had to be done.The people working there are very friendly, and helpful.I have listed only a few of the bad experiences I have had at other repair shops below. I think they will explain why I think Midas is the best.1. fixed a flat tire and it went flat before I got home.2. Aligned my car and when I drove it the next day it nearly pulled me into the ditch3. Insisted I need work done that I knew I did not need done.4. told me they did work on my car that they did not do.5. Called me to tell me my car is done and they will come and pick me up to get it. Then I 40 or 45 minutes before they show up.
I needed my muffler done right away and no body else would take the time.

We were travelling when we visited this location and so it was my first and probably only visit. From my experience at the Midas location in Nanaimo BC I am very familiar with the final price mysteriously ending up being more than the advertised price. In this case I was told that there would be an additional charge for oil because my vehicle requires 5.7 litres. I agreed to this. The person in charge was friendly, the job was done efficiently, I left very satisfied. As always, I checked the oil level the next day. It was down about 2/3 litre. We were no longer close to the Midas location and so I had to purchase another litre of oil; I was not happy with that.

"Scheduled a winter/summer tire swap. Got into the Shop quickly. While the wheels were off, the Service Technician inspected and recorded the tire wear on both sets of tires, inspected the Breaks, Steering linkage and Springs and Shocks. Since these are major safety components, I was impressed with the overview of the system; rather than just the single components that I had initiated the service for. I feel the Service Technician exercised a professional service approach for his customer. Taking all the mystery out of the safe operation of my vehicle sure makes my travels less of a future concern or a surprise on the busy roadways in Ontario. The Service Technician also noticed that my oil and filter needed changing as well. That too was added to the service the same day; without needing to reschedule. I left feeling secure and happy with the overall Service; because it was very Professional. That feeling of being in good, ethical hands means a lot!"

I had researched a number of solutions to the exhaust system problem I was having, not I called a couple of places and got quotes. I knew pretty close to how much work would be involved and how much it should cost. The Stratford Midas shop was the lowest estimate I had received. They checked the car before doing any work, gave me a great price, fixed the problem and even saved me a few additional dollars. Will definitely recommend them to others.

Oil change was super quick and staff were courteous and clean. My car is a Subaru and has synthetic oil. My manufacture recommended frequency for changing oil is every 10 000 km. The sticker they put in my window for the next change is listed for 5000 km.
Was a great experience as far as oil changes go. Very quick and no upselling. Could watch what was happening from inside and appreciate the check and fill of all fluids. Price was definitely right too.
