Oil changes are getting a bit pricey. I do not like the electronic receipts. They are too small to fit on a telephone. Possibly if there are reformatted. I do like that they are familiar with me and my car and know who it is from my phone number.
I had an 11:00am appointment and was told my car would be ready at 1pm. It was not completed until 5pm. Apparently, the business was understaffed.
Kept me informed as to what was going on.

I would not return to any midas location. The associate did not communicate anything about the brake inspection fee. They then quoted a large price for brake services with no explanation on what needed to be done other than that is what the parts and labor would cost. I declined service and was then informed I would owe labor costs as well as a brake service fee. I paid over $100 and almost two hours to only vaguely figure out what was wrong. I felt wronged to owe $70 for labor when there was already a service fee which I did not even know about to begin with (my fault but still would have been helpful to communicate) why would I owe labor if no work was done?! I was also told my cabin air filter was missing which was flat out a lie to sell me one. Items from my glovebox were left on the passenger side floor when I received my car back. I would never recommend midas after such an infuriating experience that not only was largely unhelpful but somehow cost $100. Why would anyone want that?

All was well with everything but when I got home I noticed a lot of grease smudging on the front seat and steering wheel that I had to clean off was not happy because it was a brand new vehicle it was first service for my vehicle
We needed a part replaced. $300 part (researched). Bill 1289+ tax. Straightforward repair possibly 1 hour or max 2 hours of labor-$989. $455 an hour labor if it took 2? Feel taken advantage of.

On first visit sat and waited 2 hours for an inspection and oil change. I was asked to come back for a 2nd visit so they could complete the inspection by putting on new tires which they had to order. At 2nd visit my appointment time of 10 am was not honored and I was asked to return at noon - no options- take it or leave it. I was there for another 1.5 hours as they completed the tire install and finally completed inspection. Not a very good first experieince for me having just moved into the area and choosing to give Midas my business.
They got me right in they kept in touch and they were prompt Iām very pleased with the service and will go back for my next oil change

In consideration of how much money that I have spent on my vehicles there in the past year, I should have been given more consideration than trying to sell me new tires without any warranty. I had my whole exhaust system done fairly recently, so paying for labor and ANY parts was not fair. The entire Exhaust situation was because the joint rusted out quickly, so it should have been covered at 100%. At least the manager is significantly discounting my inspection. Service was great. People were great. The way he had to cost it out was not.

My car was in for an NYS Inspection. While there the tech had called and stated they found a dead mouse in the air filter and cleaned the area and replaced the air filters.

When I took it to Toyota Service for 2nd opinion, ACTUALLY only needs muffler & work with total of only $1,200. They tried same BS when our other daughter took her truck to Midas in Binghamton for an oil change and tried to scare her into $5k of work. This company SUCKS!🤬

JJ, the gentleman in charge was very competent, and friendly. Up front he explained that he was short 2 techs and it could take a little longer than normal. I had no problem with waiting a little longer as long as it wasn't all afternoon. It was only an hour and a half, I had a great time conversing with other who were waiting. Having the TV with the great little skits, made the time pass quickly as well. I will definitely be returning for my next oil change.

Rusted out lug on 19 Honda 15k not likely. My 06 Honda still has original lugs with 160k. Retired from the business after 49 years. Never recall a rusted out lug stud. Common cause is shearing due to prior over torque or cross thread. Not happy with paying for someoneās error. Iād like to receive compensation for the cost. Respectfully, Fran Bain

The technician was very helpful with my truck. This is the first time I had it looked over and he was patient with me and my questions. He looked over areas that didn't come with the service upon my request. Other employees also added their expertise to my question. I am very mechanical and do most of my own work when I can. If I was not able to do my own repairs I would feel comfortable bringing my only vehicle to be serviced.

I got a NYS inspection without any "surprises". I was scheduled the same day I called. John was friendly and communicative, and made me feel comfortable. I learned some things about DMV policy as well. Overall he made it feel like the place was on the "up and up", and it's appreciated.

Communication with the Manager as well as flexibility and timeliness with assessing my truck's issue and scheduling its repair....I stopped in late on a Saturday afternoon.
Went for NYS inspection. Was told vehicle failed due to parking brake. Got home and tested the parking brake and it's fine. The parking brake was one of the first things checked, but the tech proceeded to check anything imaginable on the car, items clearly unrelated to the inspection. I was watching through the window and they were taking tires off the car to look for any problem they could find (and charge me to fix) I have never seen techs remove tires during a NYS inspection. It was like a fishing expedition. I just bought the car so there was really nothing they could find, so they came up with the parking brake as a way to charge me $70 to "diagnose parking brake issue" which if I had money I would of paid them to magically fix something that, as it turns out wasn't even broken. What a waste of 45 minutes and $10.
Agreed to the work needed to be completed over the phone. Was told the work would be completed in approximately 45 min and HE WOULD CALL WHEN THE WORK WAS COMPLETED. 5 hours later I called to get an idea of when the work was completed. The mechanic apologized and stated I thought you were coming back within an hour. Completely killed my day off. Not happy. Crappy Jiffy lube is across the street. Should of, would of, could of.
The person that was in charge at the desk was very detailed in explaining the work and the kind of parts needed and even offered to drop me off to get coffee and pick me back up because of the time I was waiting. Very comfortable visit👍🏼
My husband and year old twins and I were in town for a doctors appointment for my children. On the way we managed to get a nail on our tire. This location was able to help us right away and the associates were helpful and kind.

I was given an estimate of about 40 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete a tire repair, however, I returned and my vehicle hadnāt even been looked at. Once my vehicle was looked at the time it took to complete the repair was satisfactory. All in all it took 2 hours and 30 minutes. About 1 hour more than told.
The associate explained the issue clearly. Wait time was minimal.

Your tech lied and said my rear pads and rotors were done and all need to be replaced. I said I would do them myself. When I checked them all but one pad was bad. I know all must be replaced if youāre replacing one. But all were perfectly fine except for one pad which ate into the rotor so rotor had to be replaced too. But instead of trying to figure out why it was just one pad, they just wanted to replace everything and not figure out the underlying issue.

Called in early in the morning, explained the issue with the vehicle, and that we really needed fixed that day. What I did explain was that we had had an appoint with another shop for several days, and that shop called us and cancelled before we brought our vehicle to them, which left us scrambling to get it done on the day we had set aside to have the work done. Midas was outstanding.! I did explain that we really needed the vehicle fixed that day. The representative on the phone asked if we could leave the vehicle, and I told him we certainly could. He then said if you can leave it with me I will get it done for you today. We got our vehicle over to him minutes later, and he did exactly as promised. It really saved us. Absolutely outstanding.!

Dropped off and gave 3 hr time frame to complete the work, came back as agreed and veh had not been started yet and had to wait 2 more by. A phone call about the delay would have made all the difference.

Problem detected by me after pick-up. Return visit to fix was a hassle for me. I understand sometimes problems happen, however, service manager(?) failed to acknowledge in any way (e.g apology) that the faulty repair caused a hassle for me (return visit gas/time). An acknowledgement of the faulty repair placing a burden on me, and perhaps a coupon for future service savings, would have gone a long way.
I scheduled this appointment online. I heard back from the office within 10 minutes. When scheduling online at another office I frequent, Iāve never heard back from them. So, I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the Clifton Park office. Checking in and out was easy. Employees were very nice. Extra work needed to be done on my vehicle. Price wise it was so off compared to any nearby service centers. They gave me an estimate to change alternator and parking brake which was more than the value of my car. Extremely disappointed.

Lever of service and information
I had gone to Mavis that morning for my free tire rotation (I had purchased tires there) and they proceeded to tell me that I need front calipers, rotors and brake pads. I had my car serviced back in August 2019 at Midas for those same things. I stopped to Midas on my way home and showed them my paperwork and what Mavis was stating. Joseph said he could get me in about an hour I was much appreciated that they could look at it when I didn't have an appointment. After it was checked over he stated my calipers were fine that I only needed front rotors and brake pads. When my car was finished and time to pay, after my coupon was taken off the balance I had just enough even amount of cash but I was going to have to charge 1.23. Joseph said he didn't want me to have to do that so he took it off the balance. It was extremely kind of him to do that. Thank you.

The associates were amazing!! The prices of service no so amazing. I was given an estimate of 1400 dollars for rear brakes, rotors and calipers. I bought the parts yesterday myself for 330 dollars thats A lOT of money for labor if you ask me!
The day before my appointment they immediately took my car in for an inspection and estimate. They pointed us to a location where we could purchase parts. Then they scheduled us for the repair the next day. The repair took as long as they suggested. About an hour. My car was in better condition than when I brought it in. I feel confident driving it now.
The price of the service was clearly communicated and accurate. The team was prepared to have parts overnighted from the Syracuse location if needed, I scheduled for a few days later when I was not in need of the vehicle. It did take a little longer than what was originally discussed but understandably there were many vehicles in the shop that day.

I want to thank Midas and especially Jon Jarvis. He helped me quickly even though he was working on another car. On August 5th around 10am, I noticed one of my rear brake lights was out. Knowing that it's dangerous to other drivers and also a possible ticket by police, I was desperate to get it fixed immediately. I was 4 hours from home so I had to drive around to find a place. Three auto places said they couldn't do anything for me but then luckily I found Midas on Route 9 in Clifton Park. Even though he was busy, Jon Jarvis changed my rear light bulb wand me and my wife were very grateful. Thanks again!!!
I came in w/o an appt. They were short-handed so he said I could return for service in and hour and 15 minutes. Gave me an appt. for that time. Returned at that time and was told it would be another 20 minutes by a different service rep. I told him I had the appt. and he got the car into the bay immediately. Very friendly and great communication skills. I originally came in because I had a slow leak in r. front tire. No charge to fix the tire but was informed I needed a tire valve sensor. That's where the leak was coming from. Replaced it for 99$. Also had the cabin air filter replaced for 19.99. No charge for the labor. Excellent customer service. I have already recommended this Midas to others. Will return when I need service again.

Appt made over a week in advance. When I explained problem I was asked if I wanted sooner appt. I appreciated that. Upon arrival (early I might add) I was greeted and checked in. Told they technicians wouldnāt be there for another 7-8 minutes. I was early so that wasnāt an issue at all. Techās arrived and my vehicle went in. The process was explained to what was going to occur. Determination made what problem was, John reviewed info and pricing with me. I agreed he ordered parts. Came back and said bad news was it would be about an hour before parts arrived. He knew I was waiting for vehicle. I called for ride. I was able to pay for service and pick up after hours. In that time he called me to review work and I was able to lock doors (from cell phone) and pick up later.
If someone has a scheduled apt please get them in roughly on time

Had to get 1 tire due to getting a piece of metal in sidewall while driving home from vacation. Manager got me in quickly and explained I should get 2 tires so they match. Being a master mechanic myself, I appreciate that he was telling me the proper way it should be done but just wanted the one tire so I could get home

The group in Clifton Park is a great group to work with. They helped me get my vehicle to pass inspection by recommending what to do after replacing some parts from a failed emissions test. Will go nowhere else from now on.
When someone makes an appointment for 3:30 and we come in being that you guys are backed up.. to come back ā¦ instead you have us waiting over 2 hours for replacing 2 tires easily AND serviced someone who came in after us.

Excessive estimate for minor repair. Tried to sell me 1700 dollar catalytic converter.
Kept my 30+ year old vehicles running.
Hack shop- loose control arm inspection fail- $800 estimate for repair. Figured you had me by the balls with an expired inspection sticker- vehicle passed two days later at a reputable dealer. Everybody says stay away from Midas- thereās a reason for that.
The online scheduling worked for me, but the Tires were not discounted because i only needed 2. It also took longer than expected.
The pricing of parts is way out of affordable range.
Stop raping customers with your inflated prices. On average you're $300. MORE for what I need done to my vehicle than 5 OTHER businesses I've checked for the same service

Made appointment online, and called Midas as well to make sure I get an appointment between 12 noon and 2pm, an appointment was set for 12noon with no problemsā¦very impressive. Mentioned about my wife needing special care at home and the service was for sure on time, I am very grateful for the care and the prompt serveice. Many Thanks.
I came in to have tires under warranty rotated and look for air leak, They did this, but they also pulled air filters and showed me how dirty they were, Naturally, I told them to replace the filters, so instead of free, the visit cost me $74. The more I think about this, the angrier I get. I didn't ask them to look for problems and there was no reason for them to pull out filters other than to upsell me. Then, after the test drive, I was told the windshield wipers needed replacing. I said "I know and I don't care!" and drove away.
I have had good innteractions with the manager over several years.
It was smooth all the way from scheduling to pickup and payment. I think the pricing was really good as well. All in all very good

I came in for an oil change and when I got home I realized there was smoke coming out the hood! I contacted Jon @ Midas immediately. He said he would be there as soon as he left work! He came by and fixed the issue. This was during his time off! I can?t say enough about the service I receive from the Clifton Park Midas since Jon has become the manager! I would recommend this location to everyone!

I work for a very large employee owned company - we have about 8000 owners . I was really happy to hear your company is also an employee owned company - the man who took care of me said he was fairly new to the company but really likes being a part of an employee owned - I like to see that pride in an employee .
The employees at this location really did a great job. I was leaving for a trip the next day and they got me in and out extremely fast. They even double checked all the problematic areas on the vehicle to make sure we would be safely on our way.
I went for my first time to midas and went for inspection. I was told needed new brakes and rotors and failed the inspection. The bill to fix and pass the inspection was 600. I went to another mechanic shortly thereafter and he said while I need to work on the brakes in the next year, they were fine and I didn't need any work on my rotors. I passed that inspection. I felt like I was nearly scammed at midas.
I call for an appointment and was given one within 1 hr.
