The staff was incredibly friendly, the appointment was exactly as long as quoted, there were no surprises. I encountered a small problem when I came to pick up my car, and it was swiftly and adequately resolved after bringing it to the attention of the gentleman behind the desk.

Got a Toyota from BC and needed a out of province inspection to register vehicle in Alberta. Got an appt the same day and it was the lowest quote from 4 shops in St Albert. Kevin was nice, and inspection was done in 2 hrs.

First of all Kevin provided complimentary removal of tires off rims, so decided to bring truck in for unknown rattling sound. They found the problem and fixed it at estimated charge for diagnostics. everything was done very satisfactorily

I was very impressed with the free vehicle analysis which prioritized items to be fixed. I was also impressed with the way Kevin the manager put my vehicle back up on his hoist so that he could accurately answer servicing questions that I thought of in relation to identified maintenance issues that Kevin had found.
The Guy at the front desk was extremely friend and accommodating while waiting. There was TV to watch or something to read if wanted. He offered me a donut lol. It was relatively a quick in and out for a good price

I was Highly Satisfied with the service from the Front service of Moria Ross and the service from the Tech Eduardo Bias Moria keep me well informed about what was showing on my vechicle during inspection very pleasant Lady and Eduardo was very fast and Efficient they make you feel welcome there Highly Recomend Them.

The exhaust work was completed and my expectations were communicated to be no more than $150Later this was changed due to my confirmation of there being TWO exhaust leaks that was missed by their service tech and once I called the next morning after the time I’d communicated 10:30 to the lady Merium for my pick up I called them and found it was ready yet no one from Midas called me so I’m now late for my own appointment! No good and the extra review of my brakes was not part of what I had asked to be done and would like that much refunded thanks!
Friendly service to start I was told it would be about 4 hours they would have my vehicle just over 4hrs later I was driving home.

Midas did a full dianostic check and clearly explained options. There were additional issues with the vehicle that were not anticipated, but the team there was able to complete this additional work, and took responsibility for, and corrected an issue they missed during their inspection. In essence, they under-promised and over-delivered!
Great service and very professional team
Apparently they do not rotate your wheels, they will tell you that it is not necessary. I wanted it to be rotated before i drive off. They said to come back the next day. They could have corrected the problem there. This is the 2nd time they did this. Very disappointing.
I was able to make, then change appointment to earlier time on day of appointment when my schedule changed. So ai appreciated flexibility. Also, friendly, not pushy fellow at desk was a pleasant changeover my last 2 visits.

I booked an appointment for 1:30 that's when I dropped off the vehicle. Was told it would take 2 hours for the pre purchase inspection. Didn't hear from anyone, called the shop at 4:00 to see what's going on was told they're busy and that the vehicle is still sitting outside they haven't gotten to it yet. Comes 5:00 and vehicle is still sitting outside. I go in the shop and questioned the timing and was told it was my call I can take the vehicle if I don't want to wait. Vehicle went in around 5:10-5:15 and was out in less then 30-40 mins. Bill was around $174 was quoted $150 over the phone. Questioned the pricing then was told oh yeah we didn't use any shop supplies. And honored the $150 quote I was given over the phone. That was a pretty good bill before closing $157.50 for 30 minutes of work. When originally I was told it's a 2 hour job.
Customer service needs to be improved, and the overall listening of what i was seeking. I was way over estimated from things I wasn’t even asking for. It was completely unacceptable. The. The associates argued with me about how their process works, rather than treating me like a human.

It took 50 minutes for the vehicle to be seen after I arrived early and was waiting. The oil filter needed was not in stock. I made the appointment 5 days in advance

I went to the Midas in St.Alberta, AB Canada and Kevin was the main contact. I booked an appointment at 10 AM. I did not get an update for the first few hours so then I called and the lady at the front desk said they are still “working on my vehicle” and that Kevin will call me after he is done taking another call. I was waiting in the parking lot for 45 mins prior to calling and my vehicle was not being worked on at all. I just wanted an update to see if I should go home or not (I live 30 mins away) and I never got a call back from Kevin. I went home and 3 hours later I get a call from Kevin saying my vehicle is ready for pick up soon.. and he said the lady who answered the call earlier never communicated to him to call me back for an update. My 10 am appointment ended up being a pick up for 5:30pm… and I knew they just put my vehicle aside and worked on other cars because the inspection report time was “2:22pm” which means my vehicle just sat in the garage from 10 am to 2 pm! What’s the point of an appt. I was frustrated because I had dinner plans and was late… due to an appt I had at 10 AM. Kevin did not compensate or show empathy in anyway. Date: Dec 28, 2023

While I was happy with the quality and timeliness of the work done on my vehicle, I was disappointed that the retail location and my vehicle smelled of tobacco smoke. Smoking in the workplace has been banned in Alberta since 2008. At my workplace, smokers have to go outside so that no one has to be exposed to second-hand smoke. For me it isn’t a health issue, I just don’t want my car to smell like smoke.
Ordered 215/55/r17 tires they installed 215/65/r17 there was a miscommunication and nobody said anything even after the tires were installed that theyre not safe. I didn’t notice until I looked at my invoice when I was home
I was frustrated with the phone system. At times the phone had to ring and excessive number of times before iMessage came up. After the message came up to us to further Number of rings.If I we're management I would find a way to make the phone system more customer frenzy

I had made my appointment for 1:15 pm for a tire change and wheel alignment and was having a friend pick me up so that we could have lunch while my car was being serviced. When I arrived, the attendant said that my appointment had been changed to 3:15 pm because personnel didn't show up for work. I asked why I had not been notified and they didn't really give me an answer, other than they were busy. When I finally picked up my car at 5:00 pm or thereabouts, I was told that they did give me my tires were cracked and that I had been driving my winter tires all summer (which I wondered), non-the-less, I wasn't shown the other tires so I had no way of knowing whether they were no good. And strangely enough, when I had those tires put on, I was told that both sets of tires still had good tread on themso who am I suppose to believe. My last experience with Midas was not good because my 40 point inspection said that I needed both front and rear brakes and shocks and struts, and upon further examination by another qualified service station, I was told that that was not true, only that my front brakes may need attention in a few months. SOOOOO who am I to believe?

When someone books an appointment the services should be completed. I took the day off to get these services done and had the appointment booked for over a week. I wasn't the only customer in the waiting room to be having these issues. Alot of the other customers were extremely upset and said they would NVR come back. I am still waiting to get my tires done and I am choosing a different place of buisness to do it since I can't trust midas to keep an appointment. Also at the end of the service I was given the wrong invoice and had to call and get that fixed. Also got the inspection report back and they had the audacity to say I needed new tires when that's why I was there In the first place was to get my tire swap completed. Now that they couldn't complete the service I will be driving in unsafe conditions on tires that are less then adequate. I asked if I booked another appointment if my tires would actually get done and I said even if it's 2 weeks away and he told me no he can't promise that.
The mechanic forgot to put the five nuts back onto the left back tire. He did not torque the nuts and did not inspected my vehicle before I drove off. I turned a corner and my left back tire fell off, thank heavens onto the bolts and not completely off. Three levels of neglect. The mechanic that forgot the nuts should be fired, mechanic did not torque and inspect the vehicle before he took it off lift. If he had he would have noticed the tire was not attached nor safe.
I was told to be early for my 8am appt due to expected busy day. Was first customer in the door at 8 but car was not taken in for winter tire purchased change until 9:33am -and didn’t finish till 10:40. I understand it’s busy season however having that appt time & fact I was waiting I know other customers were taken first. I had no way of getting home so I had no choice but to wait

I paid $300 for the wheel alignment I went for $100.They told me I needed to buy parts.They showed small parts and wrote about the workmanship. For 3cm piece.I had an appointment at 12 on Monday. They took my car inside at 6 o'clock.They gave me my car at 8 o'clock. unfinished.They made an appointment again on Wednesday for 11 o'clock. They let my car in at 4 o'clock (because I asked again)They delivered my car to me at 6.After Midas, I went to another service. The wheel alignment is not correct and there are deficiencies.If the fee I paid is not refunded to me, I will complain about you. thanks

The diagnosis for car not starting was difficult. They were going to try replacing timing belt 4 hours labour, but instead I am glad they used a combustion check to find out engine is damaged, so they only charged me 2 hours diagnosis and let me tow the car away later on from parking lot.

My wife dropped off our truck and was asked where the wheel lug key was. She said maybe in the glove box and shrugged. The tires were not rotated as there was no key found. The lug nuts are regular ones and do not require a key at all. The inspection was texted to me with the previous owners name/info on it so my phone flagged the message as spam. Attention to detail could have been much better.

I came in for a prepurchase inspection on a mitsubishi rvr 2017 and the technicians found a problem with the rear differential that saved me $2500 of future repair costs!!! There were a couple of smaller issues but that was the main one and I was able to have the dealer agree to fix the issue before selling me the vehicle. I can't thank the team enough and look forward to working with them in the future!
They were punctual. They did not try to sell us product we really didn’t need. But they were informative as to what we may want to service. The manager actually knew more about our car and told us, than the Kia dealer we bought it from. So thankful for the info and understood what the engine needed.

My vehicle had a problem with a noise coming from brakes after pads and rotors replaced. It took me at least 5 trips back to shop to resolve issue. I am now content with the work done and appreciate the last extra effort done. Would suggest a longer and more attentive test drive to ensure no issues before calling job complete.

My interior door handle was dirty with grease from the mechanics. Not a huge deal as it is a truck. But they should be more cognizant of how dirty their hands are while in the vehicle
My appointment was at 2pm and did not get vehicle back until after 6pm for putting winter tires on. Unable to check on progress since calls go to head office that has no clue on what being done. Head office was actually rude when contacted. Not sure if I will use Midas again due to no contact with dealership to get progress update or any other info. My truck is heavy and only one hoist can lift. This was not told to dealership at time of booking causing long wait. Again lack of knowledge at main office.

I was getting an about of province inspection on my truck and it turned out the vin said it needed a salvage inspection. You don’t do them. So right then and there you guys should of stopped and called me. But you performed a inspection anyway. Then I go down and have to pay for it. For an invalid inspection that does absolutely nothing for me. Now I’m out 177 bucks. And now I have to take it to a place that does a salvage and pay them over 500. Not impressed you charged me when you would of clearly seen once you punched in the vin number into the computer that you couldn’t access the documents as they are locked due to salvage. And to make it worse the paper I brought to you was a salvage inspection paper.

I had my oil changed and other mechanical repairs completed, and when I went to leave, my oil light came on as soon as I started the engine. This has never happened before and is extremely strange given that I just changed my oil and installed a new filter. Fortunately, the staff investigated the problem and investigated potential causes. So far, I'm going through an elimination process at no extra charge. Hopefully, it's just a bad oil filter. We'll find out after installing an OEM filter. St. Albert Midas has consistently provided exceptional customer service.
A/c recharge i was quoted $400 which is ridiculously expensive. The older gentleman at the till was less than quick or friendly.

It was toonie Tueday, unbeknownst to me.I paid $6. for the oil change. This redeemed the company for previous FAILURE to return my Tire lock nut key when they rotated tire and made no attempt to pay for this.I was required to change and buy a universal Lock nut key due to expense, and was not reimbursed the cost.I was happy for this great deal
the estimated time was about an hour, it took over three hours, the price I was quoted was not the price I got, until I said the quote was lower. I got home and discovered the wheel simulator on my dodge 3500 dually had not been put on properly. It and the center cap had come off. The center cap is now lost and the wheel simulator was damaged to the point of no longer usable. I am still waiting to have this resolved. I sent pictures to the front end service guy to show what had happened. This should have been resolved by now.

Brought my truck in for alignment. When I left my steering wheel was sideways to keep the truck going straight. Mechanic told me the tread wear was causing it to pull and that’s why it off. I told them the rear tires have nothing to do with the steering wheel. They hooked it back up to the machine and it was way out from the spec sheet I left with. Way over priced and spent 5 hours out of my day when a competitor could’ve done it right the first time in an hour and not give made up excuses at to why the wheel wasn’t aligned.
Suggest that the service not include a fishing expedition to find other faults or repairs that were not requested to be fixed. Stick to the service request and advise if anything applicable to it is worthy of note
It was explained not only verbally but through actual pictures of the problem that needed repair. Also explained as to the priority of each repair so I could budget for the next most important repair.

I work out of town had my truck to do some work on it they called for me to come pick up the truck then they said oh the rare break pads not done u have to come another day and when I showed up to do it they said they have another truck in that bay and my truck can’t be done , I’m leaving out of town tonight and now what am I gonna do ? Drive my truck the way it’s ( on the side note ) they were the ones that recommended to do the break pads and said its need to be changed !! So now what ??
I think this location is great, Scheduled a rear brake replacement for 8:30 when I dropped off car they realizes parts company sent the wrong part took an extra 1 1/2 hrs. to finish. did not get out till about 11:20 a little long but not Midas fault, I realize that. I am thrilled that Sean has returned as our Midas Manager. It turned out that during the upgrading construction of the building, my tires were accidentally discarded and it was discovered when I went in to put my summer tires on. Sean replaced them and they were put on the next day. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Fluids were topped up. My oil change was done and brake pads replaced and a courtesy check was completed. My car is running beautifully, better that it was prior to my Midas work.
The associates were friendly and professional. We really appreciated the complimentary service with the oil change.
the inspection report was not correct. e.g. my truck does not have a cabin filter and all the fluids were changed four months ago and midas recommended these to be changed the service tech did not seam very qualified for doing this report
