Contacted the store before closing and they offered to take a look at the issue the following morning at opening. They were able to inform me of the problem and were able to fix it in a timely manner. I was contacted when completed. Location is conveniently located.As a young woman who does not have much knowledge about cars, I trusted the services of this Midas location and did not feel as though I was blindsided or gouged by the employees. It is important to find a shop you can trust with a potentially costly service. This is my second experience here and I will be back for any future issues that may arise. Because they are honest, accountable, professional, trustworthy (which says ALOT as not all mechanics are), they actually care, know you by name/vehicle, and take their job seriously.

Because of medical treatments my time window was very tight. Initially I was told to bring my car in and I'd be notified when the work was finished. I asked if we could tighten up a scheduled time and they bent over to accommodate me. I brought my car in and before I sat down in the office it was already in the shop. It was repaired very quickly because it was a common problem and I gave all the vehicle specifics. Well done! The last major repair on a 20+ year old car. Now good for a long time to come.

I have been taking my previous vehicle and this one to Midas on Main for many many years. There are a lot of places in competition with Midas so I keep going there because the service is excellent and the quality of workmanship even better. I like getting the lube and oil change done there because they look over the whole vehicle and we can repair early which gives me reliability with the vehicle and saves money overall. I appreciate that they're thorough, friendly, and communicate honestly. I appreciate little extra things they do for free ( like removing my bent licence plate and making it flat for me as per my request ). Before I had brought my car in because I had a scraping noise around my front wheel. I thought it was something expensive like wheel barrings but it was a plate that needed a little adjustment and I wasn't charged. It was a relief and I return to mechanics who do nice things like that for me. I return to give them my business because of honesty and friendliness.

After vehicle inspection I was told the transmission fluid was brown and had to be attended to ASAP . I had a full transmission job done last November 14K kms. ago Spent $4680. Had them check it was crystal clear. Midas highligjted to me the problem both orally and on paper. How can this happen?

The paper didn't have signature in it and it was pretty hard to read(printing quality), would also be cool to have "pay attention to this area" when check in is performed.

I've taken my car to so many establishments and have always been confused/disappointed with what my car really required. I was expecting to come pick-up my car and have "all of these things wrong with it", but they were able to confirm what I should watch out for and what was necessary to fix in the near future. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful. I have called probably 1t mechanics, and none of them were as patient or informative as he was. That is what made me initially book. When I dropped off the car he was very straight forward and told me what needed to be done, didn't try to upsell things I didn't need, and ensured I understood everything. Everyone involved in my experience was super helpful. I feel much better about my car now, and I will not be going to any other mechanics for my car issues.

I went in for an oil change and of course there was a long list of issues with my car and other things I needed done and I got a phone call about this very shortly after dropping off the car and the associate was really kind and took me through all the options and prioritizing what I needed since I didn't really have the money for everything- however I had a $49.99 coupon but I think they gave me the $10 off coupon instead :( (he was trying to be nice and processed the coupon automatically for me but this one was more expensive)

This was my first visit to Midas/this location. The employee behind the counter was very knowledgeable about my 30 year old vehicle and explained to me the potential difficulty in finding parts. An estimate was communicated to me while I was on my way home from dropping the car off - very efficient. Much to my surprise, the car did not need major work. When I went to pick up the car, which was ready when estimated time, an employee was eating his lunch but took the time to interrupt his lunch so I could pay and get the keys. Overall I was extremely pleased with the work and service and will be back if required.

I previously went to the same location about 1.5 years ago to have a flat/puncture repaired and returned based on my experience. I originally went to Midas since they are a Goodyear tire dealer (my tires are Goodyear) - in case there were significant issues with the tire, they would be able to replace the tire given Goodyear’s guidance/ warranty. This time, I asked for an estimate to have both passenger side fixed, since they both had leaks that had to be filled with air every 30 days or so. I asked for the estimate since all goods and services have gone up, and received a price range to have the tires fixed (on a per tire basis - based on my last visit). The tires were fixed in a timely manner, and when I went back to pick up my vehicle, Antonio gave me a full rundown of what was wrong, what he did, and what caused the problem; the tires both had leaks at the bead, he cleaned the rims, put new tire compound on the rims, replaced the valve stems, and balanced the tires. He mentioned that the leaks are caused by corrosion at the rim/bead over time - a time based problem. Overall highly satisfied with the service and detail that Antonio provides. Thanks!

I had originally ordered tires from Canadian Tire and they cancelled my order without notice. After doing some research, I found Midas carried the same tires. I went to the local Midas and the employee said he could get the tires I wanted in by end of day and could schedule an installation appointment for the next day. Installation only took an hour in peak tire changeover season and we got snow the next day. Employees were efficient, kind & super helpful. Highly satisfied with my experience at Midas!! Local Branch does not schedule appointments the way the corporate website suggests. Website allows me to select a time slot for drop off and service. This would be really convenient. I planned my day around that. The local branch ONLY allows drop offs at one time in the morning. This is really inconvenient, especially after the website appointment process promised time slots.

Having our vehicle serviced at Midas in Vancouver on Main St. has been a very good experience for a number of years now, mostly because we have a level of trust with Antonio and Evie that I have not had in a very long time. The work is always first class at a reasonable cost, done in a timely fashion and is always well explained. Antonio always finds a way to find and fix a problem not matter how small and troublesome along with larger requirements. They have become my "go-to-guys" for our vehicles care.

I used the online scheduling tool to schedule my appointment. I received an email stating I would be called to confirm my visit within 3 hours. I never received a call. Luckly, on the day my visit was scheduled I called to confirm and the manager was able to get me in at the time I had requested. I have a busy schedule and need to have a reliable timeframe to be able to drop my vehicle and knowing the service will be done in an appropriate amount of time.

The customer service at this location was exceptional. I forgot his name but he worked at the Main Street location that Saturday when I dropped off and picked up. He was thorough and just an excellent professional interaction.

I have been coming to this Midas for 30 years. My satisfaction has varied over the years but still remain high.

It was frustrating that the online booking was a complete waste of time. I had to email back and forth with someone many times to get the booking confirmed. The times on the website didn't match the actual available times. The night before the appointment, I had to fill in all the same information AGAIN for some pre-appointment check in. It was explained to me that the national website couldn't be altered for individual locations - so perhaps the national company should build a better online service that meets the needs of its clients and workers. I was more happy with the individual client care and service than I was from anything specifically MIDAS related. If the booking system is not fixed for next time I need an oil change, I will simply go elsewhere.

The representative was very good and he explained everything well. He ordered the parts needed and made sure our vehicle was roadworthy until the parts arrive.

You send around a flyer with a very low priced special on an spring maintenance with oil change. But that price doesn't include certain models. And it also doesn't include the oil filter. So my spring service ended being over $180.00. I should have taken the car to the dealer instead of falling for this bait and switch.

Couldnt fix my tire as the puncture was in the wall which is understandable. They put on the spare for me, and still charged me $50. You think for a returning customer they would have waived that fee. Otherwise I would have put my own spare on. It also took all day.

Not gonna lie I left really frustrated after this experience. Why say over the phone a tire change will take roughly an hour and then after I drop off my car it’ll be 8 hours? On top of that, the price I was charged was nearly $100 more than what I was told over the phone. Lastly, I got the text saying to pick my car up at 4pm - and the text said to come by 4:30pm. Without a vehicle how can you expect someone to arrive in 30 minutes? I can’t even transit in that time. Overall very frustrated and disappointed, especially considering how great my first experience was with this branch!

I get all my service done there and am generally happy. This past visit, I dropped off my truck at 7am and it wasn't finished until just after 4pm. Even though I dropped it off, I would expect it completed by 3pm, at the latest. Great people there and I trust them w/ all the work.

I did not get a call back when my car was ready. I had to phone myself at 4pm and they told me they texted me at 12:30pm. I did not receive a text. When I picked up my car and ask the associate to phone me next time, she acted indifferent. Why wasn't I phoned when my car was ready?

Prices have gone up to the point where there's no difference between having my service done at the dealership vs Midas. Once upon a time, Midas provided better value and better service than dealerships. Now, I'm not so sure about that. A real shame.
